Buying Boosters Multiple Times
Hey if you're that well off I've been eyeballing the Martial Arts pack but I'm a little short...
All kidding aside I think it's fine the way it is because some people have more than one account and they buy more than one to apply to each of their accounts.
What about letting us at LEAST see the ACTUAL name of what we've already bought instead of the generic "perk"?
P.S. Sure I'd buy you the Martial Arts pack, IF you were to introduce me to at least one of the two ladies in your avatar.... ROWR!

Yes, one NC Master account can have multiple CoH accounts associated with it.
I haven't run into the issue Westley mentions (due to me having super awesome powers of recall regarding what things I have bought for my account), but if it does allow you to apply two of the same boosters to the same account, this is a serious design flaw. Unacceptable, shoddy, and other terms apply.

Wouldn't it be really easy to check before you buy? I mean look for Rubber boots or something.
The Resistance has boobs too, and better hair!
a serious issue with this happened on either the magic or science pack where the store was acting slowly and was ambiguous as to wether an account processed or not, and some people clicked twice and bought 2 packs. now with care this can be avoided, but adding a quick check and a confirm wouldn't hurt.

Working as intended.
And while they're making changing to the NCsoft store, make them remove the IP check that prevents me from buying any booster packs and instead tells me to check a "local retailer" (my "local retailer" doesn't even sell COH anymore, and getting time card codes from them was a royal pain; they don't even know what super boosters are).

Thanks to @EnsonsDeath for the GVE code that made me VIP again!
I could understand forgetting like, the wedding pack, or something...
But I remember I have the science pack every time I go to the Pocket D Tailor and the Height/Gender selection window pops up. I mean, it's kind of hard to miss...
Still, buying the same pack twice is a design flaw for sure.
Well I just bought that Ninja Pack. I also noticed on the shopping page the Science Pack... but I couldn't REMEMBER if I'd already bought it or not. And none of the packs are actually NAMED in your account of course, they all go under the generic name of "perk".
So what the hell, I bought the Science Pack in case I forgot to buy it. It wouldn't let me buy it if I didn't need it right? So I bought the pack and applied it to my account. Now, I'm pretty well off, enough so that I can throw a bit of money around... and I was curious... so I decided to buy the SAME pack again, and apply it to the SAME account, just to see if the site would recognize that I already have it and not allow me to essentially waste my money. No deal, the site was MORE than happy to take my money twice and "apply" the same pack to my account twice. I see something seriously wrong here. It doesn't bother ME, to be honest, because I have the cash to blow... but with it ONLY saying "perk" in the description on your account... how can people know whether they HAVE paid for something or not without actually going in game and looking for the "results" of the pack? And what's to prevent people that aren't so smart from clicking to buy the same pack over and over again and totally blowing their money for no extra product? I honestly believe this to be a serious flaw in the NCSoft store... am I the only one that thinks this way? Or do the "idiots" really deserve to be parted with their money without getting any benefit from the loss? |

I'm not sure the OP's concern is something the online store could really "catch", just because of the ability to have several accounts under one master. It expects you to know which accounts have what and what's been applied to which, and caveat emptor. Although I don't think it unreasonable for the accounts to have all applied codes unambiguously listed.
Hmm, you COULD go by dates or just counting the packs too, I suppose.
4 "perk"s = 4 boosters bought. The last Retail is the Mac pack.
Yeah I had that problem where it bought 2 packs as well when that was going on, I clicked it once waited and waited, didn't click at all and it still bought 2. Got refunded of course though. Mine is so full of perks and junk I have no idea whats what anymore.
"Perks" also refers to costume codes from conventions, unfortunately.

While I think it should be easy to remember which packs you have or have not purchased, I do like the idea of a detail other than Perk to describe what I've bought.
On the other hand, you could always create a disposeable or joke character on the first page of character selection that has costume pieces from each pack released. Log in, look, and then buy ir not.
