Quote:4 minutes, and the Disruptors/Patron pets have the same duration/recharge ratio - but you only get 1 set of Soulbound Allegiance so I opted not to go for the Patron pet (that, and my Crab went Leviathan).Crabs, as previously mentioned, are the most pet-heavy AT possible outside of Masterminds with 6 100% uptime pets, but you do have to resummon them every... four or five minutes, I forget which, and it takes a bit of recharge to get the patron one perma'd.
-
I disagree here - if that were the case Ice could completely ignore psychic attacks due to their Dull Pain Clone (while only half is enhanceable, it can be made perma with little difficulty). Also don't forget [mental scramble] and [drain psyche] both of which have reasons to be avoided other than damage.

I'd like to see an option of either Superior Conditioning or Conserve power (but not both) in all ancillaries that have either power - I'd much rather have the passive than yet another power with an insanely long recharge time, putting itself in the "too awesome to use" category.

Quote:Only Brute's have the potential - Stalkers don't get Quick Recovery in Regen/Willpower....giving only Brutes and Stalkers the potential to have 4 Performance Shifter procs in auto powers.
No it doesn't. Conserve power doesnt take end mod sets. -
Quote:I typically want to get to 22 ASAP for SOs, but I use AE for that if I can (alot easier when you don't need a full team to start [while DFB has a smaller team requirement, no one is willing to start it with less than 7])Well given that most people aren't even doing the starter content, they're just farming DfB from 1-20, it's hardly surprising. People don't want content, they want to get to level 20 (for some inexplicable reason that they're unable to properly articulate) as fast as humanly possible. I don't even really get why as Freebies only have 2 character slots and can't do Incarnate stuff, so it's not even as it they can roll loads of alts or just play endgame stuff.

But I would think the pseudopet summon itself would give a single chance to proc - when my Warshade summons the extracted essence the Build Up proc occasionally activates for me.

Quote:Almost all of my level 50s use 2 Level 50 IOs for maximum return on slot investment, so I'm throwing 5 into one of each pair:This is what I'm seeing (at least at this early date) as the big advantage to Boosters, and why I'll use 'em consistently on my upper-tier builds.
Then again, I rarely exemp down, so for the most part I don't have to worry about any bonus degradation.
Health: L50+5 Heal IO, L50 Heal IO (and the 3 uniques, obviously)
Stamina: L50+5 EndMod IO, L50 EndMod IO (and a Performance shifter proc)
Hasten: L50+5 Rech IO, L50 Rech IO
etc. Instead of 84% enhancement after ED, I get 93%. Worth it for me to spend tokens on when I get them. -
Quote:I wish they would change it to simply being a personal 30s timer - this way players wont make a mad dash for the door without adequate preparation (such as buying insps). You also can leave whenever you're ready - in the Keyes trial you'll get hit by the Antimatter pulse if you exit at the first opportunity. So, they went with a hospital with a timed door so that those who 'died' came back in together in waves to get past the turrets. And that's why we have locked hospital doors. It's a death penalty. If you don't like it, then don't die.
It's also something very, very, very unlikely to be done away with. The designers were pretty adamant that there be some penalty for being defeated.... It's not like level 50s worry too much about debt. -
Quote:Enhancement scaling will make that plan ineffective. The more you boost, the more enhancement value you'll lose.Oddly enough I seem to be the only one planning to use them for non 50 game play, I intend on using my 2nd build as a super exemplar build.
I really like my build at lv 50, and by duplicating that build using lv 25 and 30 Set IOs (estimating at the moment) instead of lv 50s I can keep all of my set bonuses while exemplared to very low levels while still having Set IOs that perform as if they are lv 50s.
To put this into perspective, my dwarf form at lv 50 because of all of his set bonuses has an S/L defense of 38% or so, I would still have that exemplared into a lv 25 TF once I complete this build, along with his enhanced endurance recovery and recharge bonuses etc.
I just need to figure out how low the IO can be at +5 boosts and still equal a lv 50 IO.
Once I get some free time, that's my plan. -
Quote:- Toxic Hole (The Thorn Tree AV can one shot you, hydra are touch of death, and lets not START with Acid Arrow/Poisonous Ray)Negatives:
- psionic hole
- cannot cap DDR like /SR
- mez protection does not protect against absolutely everything relevant like /SD or /WP (like fear/confuse), but then again only these two sets do.
- the Taunt aura is tied to the mez, I don't care but some people do.
- the heal comes way too late
- like SR, basically non existent resists, all defense
- Only +HP Power in the game that cannot be made perma (though you can double it's duration with Burnout... yay?)
- Energy Drain's +Def is less than Energy Absorption (though not by much) and heavily saturated (3+ Applications) will destroy your DPS rating (and even then, only give you 12-15% Defense to the basic 6).
Basically Synapse gave us energize - thats the only real positive change I've noticed with the revamp (the other changes are either break-even or minor at best). If energy drain gave us DDR that would go a long way (12-15%, same as the defense values) towards fixing the set. -
Quote:Just out of curiosity, what would the endurance drain numbers be like with Musculature Radial Paragon? (I know that's post 50, but an extra 33% enhancement [2/3s ED immune] might make a difference against +3s)The biggest "nerf" to Endurance draining on electric blast, that I can think of, was the introduction of Enhancement Diversification.
Going from being able to slot Short Circuit for +200% Endurance Modification (Issue 5 and earlier) down to about 95% Endurance modification (Issue 6 and later) caused 2 problems for short circuit operating alone:
1: It no longer can fully drain equal leveled (+0) enemies in one shot, on its own.
2: It's effectiveness alone against +3 or higher enemies is drastically reduced, since it takes 3 applications to achieve full drain, even fully slotted (+95%), without any other powers helping it out.
Luckily for you, you are Elec/Elec, and have some help for Short Circuit in the form of Power Sink:
You basically NEED power sink and short circuit both to fully drain targets, and both to be fully slotted (+95%), and even then, the amount of combined drain is going to be penalized by hitting higher level targets:
Combined drain values of Power Sink and Short Circuit, each slotted to +95% endurance modification
+0: 132.6% drain
+1: 119.34% drain
+2: 106.08% drain
+3: 86.19% drain (NOT FULL)
+4: 63.648% drain (NOT EVEN CLOSE) -
Quote:Not just Hamidon - remember how [Mind Link] didn't accept Recharge enhancements? And how not only Membranes but Tohit and Defense sets with recharge enhancements affected the recharge of Mind Link?Ah Hamidon, still screwing with powers in ways the devs can't predict. Hehe.
Also - take a Bane on Mender Ramiel's Arc - in the first mission, Shatter Armor has a 35' range. -
Quote:Personally? I save A-Merits until 30, then either random roll them until 34 (if the character is a priority to me) or roll them all at 33 (if I can park them there for a while). After that, I look at what the builds I'm working on need - LoTG 7.5%, Numina Uni, Miracle Uni, or Performance Shifter Proc (which costs half as much, since it's a pool A).So, I debated saving up A-Merits to get a Glad and become a billionaire for the 1st time. Or, just cashing in every 2 for a LotG along the way. Which of the two would you pick?
I have two toons parked at 33: A EM/Reg Stalker (who was a FOTM roll back in I6) who is good at grinding tips for V-Merits, and my Fire/Ice Tanker (who was rolled back in I4) who does AE farming for tickets which he uses on Bronze Rolls.
Other than those two, all my high level characters go for specific high value recipes - since most random rolls will be useless to me as far as my builds go. (Though sometimes I'll take a 10-14 Pool C roll if I feel lucky) -
What? Go take a melee attack and slot a centriole in there - it increases the range. I've done this on my crab/bane to get a 12' shatter range, and a 10' Crowd Control.

The thing that really bugs me is people misspelling "Villain" as "Villian" - not so much the error, but it causes others to misspell it as well.

Quote:You can attack phased enemies - though note that Carnie Illusionists do NOT count as phased (Diabolique does though).Tomax says about phase shift:
+0.75s Phased, Phased, Intangible (mag 3)
That would imply that basicly it is a self buff of the gravity or FF ability, but if you ever get affected by that, you cant do anything at all.
That seems different then a 'affect self' debuff
+0.75s OnlyAffectsSelf (mag 100)
such as Personal forcefield has.
I go give it a try tonight -
Wouldn't replacing the 2 level 50 Def IOs in the Protector Bots with Lysosomes be better? 2 SOs of Accuracy, more than 3 SOs of defense, and 2 SOs of ToHit Debuff (I presume the Seeker Drones the Bots summon are enhanceable).
-
Level shifts don't matter to a GM - the purple patch isn't in effect with them. Grats though.

Quote:I hope we at least get a CoT Lore Pet option:Bleah. The "rip off" part is the part where none of the good parts were included.
Boss: Death Mage/Hellfrost
LT: Energy Mage/Spectral Daemon Lord
Support: Air Thorn Caster (Flight, Snow Storm, O2 Boost, Lightning Bolt)
Also: I want my Pope Hat! I dont care if it looks stupid with Force Field - My Warshade has that problem with the shields showing up on the Dwarf Form's Crotch already! (BTW: VERY appropriate in the Respec Trial Radiation Shielding)
