Has the ability to start Board Train missions from Ouroboros been disabled? I just tried to start the level 50 Hero Morality Mission in Ouro and it wasn't listed.

My very first toon was and always will be my main -- an Elec/Elec Blaster. He's been through a lot -- I made him a few months before ED hit. He wasn't my first 50, sadly (that ended up being my first villain, a Bots/Dark), and it took me a while to figure out a build that worked for him. I finally got into the zen of blaptrolling, which was only made easier with IOs and set bonuses. Now he's actually enjoyable to play.
That said, I doubt I'd roll another Blaster. I tried Psy/Mental when those sets were proliferated, but alt-itis prevented the toon from leveling very far, and I wasn't really feeling it anyway. Ultimately, Blasters are too squishy for me. -
Sounds like an urban myth, like how clicking the glowies in the Terra Volta respec trial causes more ambushes to spawn (not true and was never true). A drone probably got destroyed. Dunno about the mission advancement question, though. I would guess that it's required though, why would they put it there otherwise?

This is somewhat misleading. Defining "week" as the standard calendar week, one can receive 2 Notices during a week, by running the WST on Sunday or Monday (currently Apex, for example), then running the next WST on Tuesday through Saturday (Numina/Ice Mistral next week). But you can only earn one Notice per WST weekly period.

Quote:I don't understand why you want a solo option for a system whose only use is for team content. If you don't do the new trials, you won't unlock later Incarnate slots. Because of this, you will be at a disadvantage on these new trials. But since you're not doing the new trials, it doesn't matter. If the solo option is slow and restrictive enough to not even be worth it, then why have it? That's just faulty design, plain and simple. If your goal is to strong arm players into team content, just lock them out instead of hiding that intention behind a pitiful solo option.
All we're looking for is a solo option that is viable. I don't see why people who aren't interested in raids (or screwing around in Praetoria in general) need to be treated like second class citizens. The solo option does not need to be just as fast as raiding, it does not need to be supremely easier than raiding. The gap in raid versus solo time investment just needs to be tightened so that one player isn't hitting Omega level by the time another is just finishing up their Interface.
I feel bad to call it out like this, but this exact same flawed design was previously seen with Vanguard Merits. And someone even compared this to the Contaminated in Recluse's Victory. The guy behind those as well as the Incarnate system? Positron. I don't mean this as a slight against the man, I just want to know why exactly the solo player needs to marginalized so harshly in every new system.
You lose literally nothing here. Except, I guess, new content, but them's the breaks. The devs can't satisfy everyone every Issue. -

The wikin says "Issue 18(?)" but that the reasons for the removal and return are unknown.

Quote:Don't kid yourself, at this stage they're not going to make such a big change. Maybe they could wedge customization into it at a later date. but I doubt it. The devs have historically sided with lore versus customization. The idea of making all Lore pets Praetorian mobs - I would describe it as "terrible". Which is a new word made up by combining "terrible" and "horrible". But this was just a sneak peak so there is still time to change this. And with much/most feedback asking for more generic/custom Lore pets, I have hope.

Giant robots (larger than the War Walkers) will only happen if and well the devs solve the problem of targeting extremely large entities. We know they're working on it, at least.
Quote:We already know we'll become more powerful than Recluse eventually, and Tyrant in his current form (which we have yet to even see) is not an old threat. If we are going to have the ability to field 40 + incarnates on one team, then you know they are going to use it. And yes, that many incarnates should have something truly cosmic to fight a la Unicron instead of a Tyrant or Recluse or other old threats who managed to still somehow stay the same distance ahead of us in power levels. -

One almost thinks the devs did this on purpose just for the reference.

Quote:*rimshot*They did this to avoid the eventuality of someone buying the Fifth Column.

They're not exactly the same. The hero one has you talk to Statesman, the villain one has you talk to Lord Recluse. (However, both are chumps, so I can see how you got confused.)

Quote:There's a military presence in the Shadow Shard.
I can't recall seeing any NPC or mob in the game remotely related to any military branch.
Quote:I thought of this after finally achieving my Tier 4 Cardiac Slot. What if we were to be given a reward for slotting -every- tier slot of all four branches?
Perhaps we could effectively disable ED for our toons? That may be too extreme, but a reward I'm sure -everyone- playing the game would be actively working towards achieving.
Or the more reasonable route.. Allowing all four of the Alpha slot abilities to be active simultaneously? All four Tier 4 slots going in-tandem, with no need to switch them out? -
Sending e-mails has the same problem - it only tells you that you can send one every 15 seconds, not "you can send in X more seconds".

Quote:I ran a Katie last week, we didn't have any difficulty on any iteration of Mary McComber, and we finished in 40 minutes. Maybe it could use an increase of a few merits, but not much. That's the point. Katie's current reward is based on times which the median team are no longer able to accomplish because of changes to the second mission.
In any event, Katie should have never been reduced so much. It's the ONLY low level TF I'm aware of that locks you into a fight against a +3 AV with storm debuff powers and 3-4 boss level attendants with similar powers.
At any rate, it's probably not gonna happen until the devs either change the formula for merit rewards or the median completion time increases. -
Quote:the endgame does though
Has a crafting system that doesn't require grinding raids to use -
Merit Rewards are based on the median completion time. If people stop speed-running everything, rewards should (this is the key word) go back up eventually.

Quote:Want to know what the current WST is on your Vigilante/Rogue? Well too bad! Maybe you should commit to an actual side, then maybe we'll tell you.Another possible solution would be a contact (NPC) stationed in the Crucible (Red Side) and FT Trident (Blue Side) with the same info.
Gating knowledge of content based on alignment is a terrible idea. MOTD would be good, except it's not 100% reliable in popping up when it should (99%, maybe). A contact in Atlas and a contact in Cap would do it; they're both the zone hubs for their respective alignments, and you don't need to worry about baby villains wading through a zone full of purples since they can't do their first SF until level 15 anyway. -
Quote:According to Castle in 2006, the bug would be closed in the "not so distant future". So probably Next Sunday, A.D. at this point.Yes, it works.
The most useful ones are Damage HOs for resistance powers and Tohitdebuff HOs for tohit buffs, because they give 33% rather than 20%.
It's considered a bug and some people will argue that it might get fixed eventually. -
Since no one has mentioned it explicitly: MoTF ("Master of ___ Task Force") badges are highly sought-after (mostly by badgers who want to "catch them all") because Master Runs are typically difficult to get going and successfully complete. A Master Run is one where the following challenges are set (the TF contact gives you the option to set them before you start): no temp powers can be used, and nobody can die. If you complete the TF under these circumstances, you get the badge. Because one death can ruin an entire run, some people get antsy about doing them because they don't want to be "that guy".
Current Master TFs that fit these conditions are: Statesman (hero), Lord Recluse (villain Strike Force), Lady Grey (co-op), Imperious (co-op), Barracuda (villain Strike Force), Dr. Kahn (hero). The two Incarnate TFs, Apex and Tin Mage (both co-op), also have Master badges associated with them, but they work differently, instead requiring you to complete specific optional tasks during the TF.
