Villains Archetypes are less specialized, more hybrids. So they solo better. Also, less people play villains.
Having said that, a Rogue Isles Tunnels zone would be fun for this. Branching it out from Mercy and Snake caves as far as Sharkhead for Coralax caves, heh..
On a random note, I'm always level 8 by the time I finish Mongoose's last mission. Doing one Port Oakes arc bumps it to 10 easily, and there's more teaming in Cap au Diable. -

Not true for all psi tho. So far only arachnos seem to have "untyped" psi attacks. I have/had no problems with Rikti, Carnival of shadows or lost.
[/ QUOTE ]Some players, too. It depends on the specific power in question. Dominate, for example, is typed, but not positional.
Another thing to keep in mind that there is no Typed defense for Toxic attacks, only Positional works. -

1. Change the power "M40 Grenade" to a sniper power similar to "Sniper Shot" which the Mastermind himself can use. These pets are all ranged based and the Mastermind should be able to use this to his/her advantage. This is also important for the Mastermind since having Mercenaries for henchman they tend to use dots and nearly all lethal effects as damage. More single target attack powers are required to cause more balanced damage vs stronger opponents.
[/ QUOTE ]Ugh, no. All Mastermind attacks except for Knockout Blow and maybe Thunder Strike are mostly garbage anyway, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who´uses the grenade for additional knockback fun with /Storm Summoning. Besides, the devs are always extremely careful about outright removing and replacing powers, so it's unlikely they'll swap one weaksauce attack for another weaksauce attack anyway.

2. Change the look of the Commando when upgraded to something more modern and less scruffy like. A dark green sleeveless camo flak-jacket for armour and soldier's gloves would be cool for appearance benefits.
[/ QUOTE ]Not green, doesn't match the greyscale uniform setup of the other pets. However, less of a Rambo look would be good.

3. Change "SPEC Sniper" for the "SPEC-OPS" henchman so that it activates more often when at far range and change "LRM Rocket" for the Commando so it can be used at far and moderate range and also cause aoe fire damage.
[/ QUOTE ]The APP version of LRM Rocket doesn't do fire damage either, because that's not how non-incendiary explosives kill.
Here, I'll hijack your thread and offer my own thoughts.
1) Half (or make even shorter) the recharge (and maybe increase the duration) on the SpecOps control powers. Emphasize the role of control for the Mercenaries primary.
2) Make the SpecOps stealth useful. Give them Stealth Strike like the PPD SWAT mobs have. Remove the speed penalty, it's unnecessary on pets.
3) Let the Commando use his Gun Drone ability, it's in his powers list, but he doesn't gain access to it with either upgrade.
4*) At a stretch, give Commando Ignite, since burn patches make anything suddenly great. Lol. -

To fight against her, you will find she mostly mezzes.
[/ QUOTE ]So does my Dark Miasma toon.
Yeah, they don't have ATs, but the closest you can get with her is a Dark/Dark Corruptor with signature powers, Phase Shift, Flight, and a random Dark Regeneration thrown in for good measure. Corruptors have access to a weaker form of her infamous mag 100 AoE Hold, as a mag 3 single target Hold. Her other controls are all present in Dark Miasma/Blast.
Scirocco is also closest to an Elec/Storm* Corruptor.
(*Sandstorm Summoning? Scirocco and Malaise show that even a simply restyled regular powerset can make a cool signature powerset.)
Black Scorpion is closest to a Brute, I'd say. He likes to punch things and has Taunt. Sure, he has cannons too, but Brutes have access to ranged attacks as well.
Mako is pretty much a Claws/SR Stalker with a random Sonic nuke and some of his silly ghosty-sharky signature powers.
Recluse is pretty much a Mastermind Incarnate, since he keeps summoning Bane Spiders like crazy as you fight him.
So I guess, yeah, we're missing a proper Dominator. If Recluse were to take on a fifth lieutenant, it'd totally have to be someone fire based though. None of the Patrons match fire based toons currently. -

I must say it is useless power. If u are so keen of flight take air superiority not hover. Otherwise if u like to have it just for 2.5% def bonus use combat jumping instead. At least it gives u immobilize protection.
[/ QUOTE ]Combat Jumping does not let you stay out of melee range indefinitely with little hassle. Fly does, but for a HORRIBLE endurance cost. Hover lets you stay out of melee range, and gives you some defense to stack with any other ranged defenses you might have. Which is why Hover is popular for Crab Spiders, for example. -
It probably wore out. They last a VERY short amount of real time when you log in, and the duration is based on how long you've been logged out at the appropriate location.
Yes, we all know it's silly. -
Much more than you could possibly ever get on your own (except when using Rest), so don't worry about it.
-
The Office Belt looked exactly like the Official belt without the gun holster, pouches, and radio strap. It was also pretty much the only belt that looked good with Slacks.
-
Because getting 15.65% ranged and area defense just from Sprint + 4 Veteran Sprints is beyond broken.
-
Mirror Spirit and Foreshadow do indeed have newer character models than others.
At this rate, I predict Spark Blade and Rose Star will be the new trainers in Boomtown and Perez Park, respectively, once those two get a Faultline/Hollows style makeover. -

realistic, as thats daftbut believable?
[/ QUOTE ]I find 'convincing' to be a good word to use. -
Who exactly does this give endurance to when used in powers like Twilight Grasp and Transference, and how much of it?
[Edit-Clarification]
1) Is this also bugged in the sense that it'll give endurance back to the targeted enemy like that one EndMod proc, or does it work properly?
2) Will it have a chance to give +end only to the caster, or everyone in the Heal radius? -
1680x1050. I don't maximize it though.
-
It's the Office Belt with a few goodies added onto it, and renamed.
Wish we could have the old Office belt back again. -
PRAF's got the stats right.
It works well in powers like Soul Storm. -
A heal that you can't use on yourself on a Brute?

I dont follow your logic on Pet Damage though; how is slotting Damage IO's in a Pet any different to slotting them in any other attack.
[/ QUOTE ]Because the pet summon powers deal no damage - they summon pets.
The bugfix specifically refers to the new Recharge-intensive pet sets, which does not strictly imply that it also applies to all other sets slotted into pets. Pretty sure Soulbound Allegiance still boosts the recharge of pet attacks, for example, at least on observation. Of course, this is hardly credible evidence. An official word would be cool. -

there's super strength with its hand clap maneuver
[/ QUOTE ]Lol, who actually takes and uses that.
On the topic of exclusivity, with Plant Control pried from the clutched unwilling fingers of the Dominators, as well as Thermal and Cold Domination, I'd figure we'll be seeing Ice Melee and Armor redside someday anyway.
Only it'll be on Stalkers, at least at first. -
Funny, I don't notice people specifically avoiding /Dark Brutes...
...or do I? I can't actually remember seeing a /Dark Brute in what appears to be months now. -
Because Mu Mastery was a popular pick in its current incarnation and they originally intended to replace powers, not add new ones. Here's hoping it gets Short Circuit or something someday soon, though
