Villan alternative to sewers

Title says it all really. Always find the fist 10-14 lvls a bit of a bind, sewers solves this problem quite nicely on hero side but what about villans? Any ideas?

Uh, no, not really. As far as low level team zones are concerned in Villians, there doesnt seem to be any.

That would be because you don't stay low level in CoV for very long. Tutorial+Kalinda gets you to 5 (unless you're a stalker and insist on ghosting the boss+guards missions); Mongoose will get you to 6; six papers and two mayhems gets you most of the way to 8; doing Bocor and Vendetti gets you to 10.


DCUO and CO will never see my money. The Citygame will keep seeing my money for as long as I keep enjoying it

Sewers work best in groups. Villians prefer to solo.

So imo it is not needed or for me even wanted. Just go hunt the streets if you like. Plenty of walking xp around there.

I find that on villains I'm forced to solo. Would much rather team but its difficult to get a team and keep it together. Don't see why, surely outnumbering your opponents is more evil?


@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

Trusting other villains is *less* evil, however.

I find it the opposite actually. In villains once you have a team gathered you're good for several missions. On heroes I have to replace 1-4 people every mission ...

Villains Archetypes are less specialized, more hybrids. So they solo better. Also, less people play villains.

Having said that, a Rogue Isles Tunnels zone would be fun for this. Branching it out from Mercy and Snake caves as far as Sharkhead for Coralax caves, heh..

On a random note, I'm always level 8 by the time I finish Mongoose's last mission. Doing one Port Oakes arc bumps it to 10 easily, and there's more teaming in Cap au Diable.

On Villains i tended to work my way up the beach towards the Cap ferry normally by the time i would get there i would be 8/9 so i would then move to cap and hunt in the arena district till i hit 10 then move on to papers.

But a set of tunnels in the same vein as the sewers would be nice

Could have a network of tunnels and sewers running beneath the isles i would be tempted tho to make it a proper hole new zone with mobs going all the way from 1 to 50 with a few contacts scattered about near entrances maybe a zone story arc exploring the various rivalries between the factions that live and use the tunnels there could also be 1 or 2 news paper like contacts that give repeatable missions things along the lines of

"faction X has got out of control go take them out"

"recent cave in has revealed the entrance to a hidden lab"

actually may go right this up as a suggestion.

Yes, the lack of villains is something you definitely notice when you try to get a team. But indeed when you have a team it does tend to stick together better. Part of the problem is the fact that most villains solo very well. Which is a good thing for me as getting a team for my villains is something i am always open to but almost never bother to try to get anymore.

Rarely bother with any of the 1-5 arcs red side. Plenty of street hunting goodness to be had, and particularly if you're a brute or domi, the groups are close enough to keep your fury / domination bar fairly high meaning you can chop through them fairly quickly. Rolled a lec / shield brute last night at about 9pm. By 9.30 I was level 6.

Crazy Idea below so bare with the ramble.

Rogue Isles Pirate Caves!!!! Underground cavern netowrks that were once used by the pirates of the rogue islse but were long ago abandoned becoming home to other beasties. Pirate Ghosts, Corallax, Snakes, Infected, Lost and maybe some of the rare stuff like say Hydra, Igneous or Coven could have areas amongst it (at least give us vills something other than the same 4 groups pre lvl 10!!!). Plus could easily have mishes, trials and objectives to get. Heck, maybe even a decent new trial to recover some long lost pirate treasure guarded by scary things. Make it say 10-15 and you instantly fill a villain TF lvl gap too with a new big monster/demon/big scary thing of choice at end for us to go "ahhhhh its massive and i have no powers" at :P

And I rarely have to solo ever redside regardless of lvl - last night past 2 am was teaming with my brand new alt easily Worst case - start a damn team of ya own lol That said if ya have that much team issues fire me up @Starscreamer if ya on union - I got (too) many chars that ya can team with.

Hmm, even if we don't need it. Those pirate caves sounds interesting. If they are under PO and Cap that could give interesting possibilities. The PTS, the pirate fortress smuggling routes from the family, lets not forget the snakes who need some nestling places and the ever present CoT who seem to like dark dank places. There is potential for such a feature.
