Chance to hold a bit weak?

I've got a couple of Chance to Hold procs in my Lvl 50 blaster. They're both in single target ranged attacks that I use frequently.

I've noticed that they don't go off very often. I assume that's because the magnitude isn't very high. I'd estimate that they trigger about 1 time in 20 or 30.

The duration isn't very long either. (5 seconds IIRC.)

Does anyone else feel that the proc could do with a buff? I think either making them happen more often or making them last longer would do. Both would probably be overkill.

It's 15% chance of a mag 2 hold I believe.

It's not much, but procs aren't meant to give massive gamechanging buffs.

This one works best if you have other hold powers to stack with it.


I really should do something about this signature.

PRAF's got the stats right.

It works well in powers like Soul Storm.

True. On the other hand, for most other procs if it says 15% chance then you get the effect 15% of the time. With the holds, the proc may fire 15% of the time but it rarely causes any effect.

Unfortunately, the only holds I have are the procs themselves.

It does take effect, but Mag 2 will only normally hold minions if not stacked with another hold power.

As I said, procs aren't intended to be powerful.


I really should do something about this signature.

i have one in blind and it stacks nicely.
