They did introduce banking when they brought in the flight poses, but removed them due to the randomization of flight poses and when they reintroduced the emotes, they didn't bring banking back in.
Requesting /e doabarrelroll though. ;P
I would love to see more flying animations. Including loopings and such.
Would be grand if we could make it into a semi true dogfight! Especially when you can aim forward without losing flying speed. 
Sadly, thanks to Travel Suppression, I don't think we'll ever get that. We don't get that many flying enemies as it is, anyway.
See, I used to enjoy taking on the Sky Raiders in Terra Volta in mid-air
Now I just freeze'em and bring them to ground level - no point staying up there to fight - so yeah, I can't see 'flight fight' animations coming along 
But it's a nice idea - I like the flight poses, so a few more 'tweaks' and additions to make flight look more realistic is a good suggestion.

If you find the original trailer for CoH, the VERY first one, look for the flight 'take off' animation. Does a neat little flip in the air before going.
Making the standard fly pose a bit more...well, not realistic, as thats daft 
but believable?

Flight. There's no animation for flight, other than your character is horizontal. This may be asking WAY too much, but it would be nice to have a little tilt in the direction of your turn? It would make flight just that little bit more realistic IMHO.
Oh, and a barrel-roll animation would be nice too, that could be added to the flight emotes. Take the current emotes and add the barrel-roll to each one, e.g. /e flypose 4 is actually flypose 1 with a barrel-roll.
