  1. My Keanu Reeves / Neo / Cyberpunk tribute character : Johnny Moronic (Thugs / Traps)

Would just like to know, as obviously if this is the case then I will not be-able to continue subscribing due to work commitments.

Isn't any good paying for a service that is only available whilst I am at work.
Well no, it's unlikely to get worse. We've had a unified downtimes ever since the EU offices shut down, more or less and this sort of thing is a rarity. This isn't something new happening due to the server farm merge or the upcoming list merge, it's been a reality for a couple of years now.

It's still a mighty pain in the nads mind, and whomever decided to post an Announcement about no downtime for maintenance yesterday is looking slightly silly today.

Hopefully the next issue won't be so bug ridden that it requires developers to do silly things like patch a server just before the time period when they aren't in the office for 2 days and there are the most people playing the game (ie on a Friday afternoon).

So far I have done a few BAFs. But I don't remember I have seen any Kheldian at all. In fact, I don't think I have seen that many Kheldians in recent years.

That prompted me to ask: what do Kheldians bring to a team in terms of, say, TFs and Trials? Do they make any noticeable different in a team?
Yes, yes they do. They're kinda like scrappers, in that they aren't power multipliers in the same way as Defenders or even SoA are, but they bring decent damage, protection via control and/or taking alphas and off-tanking and are pretty self-sufficent.

Warshades are one of my Plant/Emps top Fort and AB targets since I know how nice recharge and damage buffs are for them.

Ah, they enjoy that sort of roughhousing.

It does render yesterdays "No downtime for maintenance, aren't we great" thread a bit of a joke. If you're going to labour the point that you've saved some middle-of-the-day downtime it's best not to then force prime time downtime the day after.

But yes to the "Not now" button.
You cannot spawn ambushes in Atlas, there's code in place which prevents it happening.

I've never come across a Radio/Paper mish with an out-of-instance ambush in it either.

I've rarely argued for the removal of the crash from nukes, mostly because I didn't think anyone would agree with me, what with the strong status quo we have here, but I still firmly believe that these powers are unduly hamstrung by irritating limitations.

Here's what bugs me about nukes so much - they're good powers in some circumstances, but frikkin' let me use 'em! There's nothing quite as frustrating as having a good power on your roster and being unable to use it, even when it's right there, recharged and taunting you.

I'm all for removing the 100 end crash from nukes, yes. Can we kill the interruptibility on snipes while we're at it?

I'd possibly keep the -recovery in nukes, so they act like EMP or EMP Arrow where there is still a bit of a penalty for using them but drop the crash.

As for snipes I've detailed before what I'd do with them, they really need to become more useful by removing the interrupt and also adding a secondary effect to each (stun, fear etc) as a small AOE.
  10. Ill/Rad will be still be excellent in the rest of the phases though so I don't really see too much of an issue here.

Whereas on my Plant/Emp the opposite happens. She's great in the Escaping phase, since Plant is basically the king of AOE Immob, but Creepers isn't a hell of a lot of use vs the AVs, nor are Seeds much use against Boss level mobs (unless there's a second Planty on your team).

Spectral Terror on the other hand has that 15-30% ToHit debuff on it, perfect for stacking against those reinforcement spawns of 9CUs and Vikkies while you stick all your debuffs on an AV of choice and let PAs distract them.
  11. Regardless of the existance of Judgement slots or not Nukes need to be redone to remove the crash. It's just a silly limitation of those powers nowadays.

Let their Recharge, Damage etc being the balancers for nukes, this imposed crash is silly. Forts have had access to proper crashless nukes for 8 issues now and they're fine. Nice powers, suitable for a tier 9 power but not overpowered really.

This. I ran the BAF trial itself twice last night and it was kinda fun. Suffered from all the issues all of these mass character thingies do, lagging powers and rubber banding, so I won't be hurrying back to it. Maybe if there were two more 4 to 8 people ones. I did enjoy it though and the 20-30 minute duration is perfect for me.

The incarnate system is a shambolic mess though, stupid new salvages which are hard to track and follow. A confusing menu system with Yet More Salvage. What were you thinking.

The UI additions are chronically bad. The league and team menus are most unpleasant on my 1024 screen.

Speaking personally if I'm not logging into the game much before a new issue, then the new issue comes along and doesn't bring anything really I want to do much then not renewing for a few months and letting the heart grow fonder is a logical thing to do.

The whole point of the incarnate system is to become more powerful (while having fun).

Increasing the difficulty of pre-incarnate content defeats this purpose.

Because, unlike the Perez greys, the level 50 "greys" you're wiping out at level 50+ with your new shiny powers will drop Inf, IOs, Shards and Purples for you?

Agree with your last point though, upping old content like TFs or Radios would defeat the purpose of becoming Incarnate anyway (unless you allowed the Difficulty Level Slider to go up I suppose).

Only thing I can advise is a "Heel" bind as well, issue with that is that it'll take the pet(s) involved out of BG mode which can be very dangerous for you.

Simplify the entire stupidly over complicated system that's taken a pick up and play MMO, and turned it into a number crunching borefest that's almost as interesting to play as EVE.
^This. The current system reeks of Positron. What ever happened to "Keep it simple, stupid"? A sprawling tree with a myriad of different salvages feeding into it is just baffling and pretty unnecessary. Things like Weekly Strike Tasks can be accommodated simply by providing iXP bonuses

I'd also do another round of proliferation, finally finish off Power Customization (I seem to remember Posi saying things like different types of Superspeed were coming, what ever happened to that?) and introduce a Level 20-35 zone along the lines of the RWZ, probably a magical based one set in a revamped Dark Astoria (I'd add a few new enemy types to the Banished in doing so). I'd be sure to keep the fog though. I like the fog (maybe allow player actions to affect it though)
  19. Are you doing Follow or Follow Defensive?

If they're in Aggressive mode just Follow mightn't be enough, you might need to issue a Follow Defensive or even a "Heel" (Follow Passive) to make him behave.

He is a mouldering corpse after all. Cut him some slack.

Me and SinergyX are not talking about "at this given time" though, we're talking post merger.

Physically the EU and US servers are now hosted in the same place in the US. This was done about 6-8 months ago.

Come August the Merge is happening and there will be one unified Server List for EU and US servers. At that point there should be no reason you cannot transfer one of your US characters to an EU server.

Keep in mind he can't KILL me (unless I drop out of BG mode and stop focusing on debuffing his damage), but even with the Hero damage buff, feeding my *** bot red meat and using envenomed dagger and other temp powers I still can't kill him.

I can't rage quit (my wife and RLFs play), but between this, the Event disconnecting me every time I've tried to play it, noticing my vet powers that I have EARNED through several years of play are nerfed during the Events, and the insane amount of new currency for the new Incarnate slots, well I have a feeling I'll finally be finishing Red Dead Redemption.

It really sucks to have built up a toon for over a year, investing time into the Alpha slot and the infamy for purple sets, that can handle AVs and GMs , to have that toon nerfed to the point where Siege is unkillable to him.

I can solo Jurassik but not Siege. Really?
In this case you're not being "nerfed" in any way. Siege is simply built in a way which your powers aren't suited to dealing with very well, regardless of how awesome that combination of powers is against some other things.

There's one of the Incarnate powers which has an option of adding a -special to all of your attacks. That might be enough to weaken his heal enough for you to beat him.

I'm not sure if AVs resist the Interface debuffs though, if they don't that may be your best option as the other thing it offers is -recharge I think, further slowing his ability to self-heal.

Edit : Gravitic Radial Interface: 25% -rech, 25% -secondary effect should be the one to go for. The 25% chance isn't much but with all your pets blasting away it should quickly stack 4 times and stay there.

True, would be nice that AI would be a bit better, but i think they pretty ran into the limit of what they can do to the AI of pets (alike melee heroes in GW).

But the Pet AI used to be better for Ranged pets. Then they broke it (because they wanted their new shiney Demoo pets to work all spiffingly). So they do have the ability to improve (or just reset it if you like) if they wanted to.

However so far the Castle-less Powers Team haven't shown much of a commitment towards fixing broken things or revamping powersets, other than the AOE heal for Dark Masterminds (which I suppose thinking about it could have been in order to throw Dark MMs a bone on these trials).

Why can't you? Your EU accounts should be able to move their characters to an NA server of their choice, NA accounts should be able to move their characters from an NA server to an EU one.

You can't transfer characters between accounts (so I can't move a character from my Carnifax_EU account to my Carnifax_NA one for example) but that's a different kettle of fish.

It's an absolutely moronic system. What makes it sadder is that they already did inane things with IP Addresses on the store and people like me have been saying "Please stop doing that, tis idiotic" which just seems to encourage them to do more silly things with IP Addresses.

Maybe some reverse psychology is required :
"Hey, NCSoft Web Developers. I think you should expand this reliance on IP Addresses in some way because they are a totally reliable and unique way to decide what machine someone is using and what content you should always show them. Also, your forum software is awesome. Keep using it. And your Credit Card payment system is above reproach"
