Zone Tetris

Zone Tetris.

This is when people struggle to get all their league members into the same zone at the same time to start their trials. It gets really bad when more than one large league is trying this at the same time.

Broadcast in the RWZs can get almost silly, with people begging anyone to leave the zone so their last members can get in.

Tonight, a BAF league I was on went through two RWZs, the Midnighter Club, Cimerora, Pocket-D, and finally to Pocket-D-2 before we could get started. It took a while, with some members not being able to find these zones, not have access to Midnight or Cimerora unlocked, and so on. Players were getting impatient and dropping, and we continually recruited to get back up.

Short of being able to start the trial with a pre-made league from mixed zones, just like the individual queue allows; does anyone have any ideas on how to work with or around Zone Tetris?

We've used Pocket D on Defiant, but then we have a much smaller server pop than some of the other servers on your side of the pond.

We used Praetoria earlier tonight. That's three extra zones for you to fit your heroes and villains into.

Edit: 6 if you want to go in the tunnels, but that's even more out of the way than usual.

This hadn't occured to me. I would love to form up just outside where we were going to invade. That would be epic.

It's just a shame I'm unlikely to gather a band of thirteen others who agree with me rather than say 'lol u comin 2 pocket d???'.

13 others? But we should totally try this. I'm sure it'd be possible with enough charismatic yelling on the channels.

There are Incarnates without the Midnight Club unlocked? Really?

My Plant/Emp controller for one. Just never got around to it.

More likely (for me at least) on Villainside. Heroside, you unlock the Midnight Club early (teens,) and can ignore the info/badge/runaround arc in the 30s. Villainside it's the other way around - you get introduced and do the runaround, and more than once I've thought by 35 or so (given the number of alts) that I'd unlocked the club, when in fact all I'd done is the mid-teens talk-tos.

We so went and did this (on Union), and it was cool cos we weeded out the impatient folks that couldn't be bothered traveling to Neutropolis and then waiting upwards of ... forty minutes or something (for the first who joined). Heck, it might even have been longer. But cool run and felt way more right to land at the actual facility afterwards than being flung back out into a pocket dimension. :P

We did indeed! I was disappointed in the lack of imagination and willingness to experiment in most Unionites, but those that showed up were good teammates that had no trouble with instructions.

Starting outside Lambda was wonderful, and was definitely worth doing.

I know that during beta and on Justice Pocket D was used, primarily because most players have the Pocket D Teleport so it's easy to get there. Though I could understand wanting to use something else like RWZ on Virtue, considering the reputation that Pocket D has there

Baka. Just send your team leader to go get them. Or have some of the team members that have already joined step out of zone. Or even simply start the trial and have the others join via the LFG tab.
Did you think the trials worked like ordinary TFs? They don't.
You don't even have to be on a league to join a trial.
If you must be on the same zone try one of the PVP arias. There usually sparely populated.

I find it's the other way around, purely because the Heroside unlock arc is so monumentally tedious

under the agreement we'd have to start in the near exact location you zone into, Id be so up for that.

INFACT! it should be a requirement to start in exactly the same locaiton as you zone into
