    Any regrets?

    Never really bothered me though.
If it's not the Amy temp power (as mentioned above), it might be the Valentines Event healing temp power.
  2. Things always seem a bit quiet when we're in beta for a new issue. I think some people are on test and some people are taking a break while waiting for new stuff to do.

That being said, I am a PST Victory player and we found enough people to run a late night (10 pm Pacific or so) LRSF last night, so things aren't completely dead or anything.

It really is all about the global channels as far as I can tell.
  3. I'm 45. I run into people even older than I am once and awhile.

    Incarnate Levels

I think the world would be a happier place if:

    1) People stopped getting upset about speculation and waited until they got some actual facts to get upset about.

    2) People stopped playing games when the games stopped being fun.
  5. The only thing less funny than April fools jokes is the people who go around making a point of trying to convince people that things aren't funny.
  6. I'll send at least one in both directions just to check out the content/process. I'll be very tempted to move a lot of villains to the point where they can use the hero market, since the red market is so painful.
  7. A lot depends on how fast you generally level. If you have time to wait around for bids to fill, you can definately get crafted IOs cheaper than SOs/DOs. But if you are rocketing through the levels, you aren't going to have time for bids to fill, and DOs/SOs are going to be cheaper.
  8. I kind of like soloing the Vanguard in Gaussian's arc. It's interesting. Some of my characters die a lot, but that can be more fun that steamrolling everything.

As far as I am concerned, there should be at least one or two things that are hard to deal with. Just for variety.
  9. You should join the "Victory Forum" and "Victory Badges 2009" global channels when you get a chance. Between those channels (and Victory Badges channel, which is full, so you can't join it) you should be able to get into a lot of team situations of various sorts, not to mention being able to participate in some random chatter if you are into that sort of thing.

    That looks great.
  11. Thankfully, there's no real chance that this will happen.
  12. Do sets if it seems fun. Otherwise don't.

Well, if you have a character with all SOs, and you exemp, you don't lose any set bonuses. If you do have a character with set bonuses, and you lose them all, your build should be more or less like the exemped SO-only character.

The trick is to not care whether you have the set bonuses or not. Then it doesn't matter. It's zen.

Just too much of a goody-two-shoes IRL, I guess.
I'm so goody-two-shoes in real life that playing a villain is a huge relief.

    To each their own.

I don't want to bother learning the intricacies of the Market, because I don't want to bother with the slings and arrows of the louder forum experts on the topic. I'm sure there's good advice in there, but when it's wrapped inside insults, the effort expended ceases to be worth the rewards.

I want to play the game, not suffer attacks on my mental capacity.
The market forum is actually a pretty nice place if you come to ask for advice. It can get a little nasty if you come in with the attitude that the market forum people are evil market manupulators that are out to get the average player, but I don't think that's surprising.
  18. It's incredibly annoying to replace enhancements every 5 levels. I avoid it like the plague.
  19. It just goes to show that nothing said on Victory Badge can be trusted, especially the stuff I say.

Well, you'd obviously never chose a random roll if you were getting more than 20 merits, so they only effect of adding a recipe roll chose would be to make it more worthwhile to take a random roll than to take merits in cases where the TF or SF gives less than 20 merits. In effect, this would be like setting a "merit floor" of 20 merits. I can't think of a reason why the devs would consider doing this after all the effort they went through to make sure that the merits reward amounts were properly weighted for each TF/SF.
  21. Washington State has a mountain range called the Olympic Mountains. So at least a few times I've seen a story about the IOC suing some tiny little company or another because they have the word Olympic in the name of their business. It's actually pretty funny, unless you are one of those businesses of course.
  22. With a stalker who had teleport other and some practice, we got to the point where we could do that one in around 20 minutes back in the day. It's probably my fault that it's set so low now. Sorry.

That was a pretty spectacular team though, you've got to admit.

I generally agree, but I reserve the right to complain about certain specific changes that seem to me to be ugly, pointless or stupid. Even if said changes are accepted by the majority.
  25. My characters over all, and my characters that are 50 are divided almost exactly evenly between heroes and villains. Apparently I am neutral.
