Going Rogue Side Switching Poll

So, as we're waiting for Going Rogue access, be it Beta, Open Beta or Live, an idea was suggested for a poll to see just how many of our characters are actually being considered/prepped for the side switching that will be made available. Credit where credit is due, this idea came from Golden Girl, and while it would have been off topic for the thread it came up in, I thought it a good enough idea to warrant a thread of it's own. So to get the ball rolling:

Huh. Counting up I have seven Heroes and seven Villains that are actually seriously being worked on or already level 50. Out of my Heroes, four will become Vigilantes, but none will go full Villain (at this time). Out of the Villains, two maybe three will Go Rogue, and one will go full Hero. There is one that will be restarted as a Demon Summoner, but I don't know yet if he will follow Desdemona's lead. And just for the sake of thoroughness, I have one character concept who will start as a Tyrant Loyalist, but I don't know yet which way his story will go.

How many characters I am going to bother to switch sides with really depends on how much effort I would need to put in to accomplish it.

My main character will definitely move from being a villain to a rogue, because I'm a badge *****, and I need all those hero-side badges.

My 50 brute and my 50 Defender will switch sides to get all the badges.

Other characters will switch sides depending on what I want to do at time.

I have...hmm, five characters who'll be switching sides, and at least one Scrapper who'll be rolled up with the idea of going totally villainous. Possibly more will either switch or start with the intention of switching, but the six above are already planned such.

None of them are 50s. The highest is my Bane Spider, 25-ish, and I'm not 100% sure that VEATs will be allowed to switch anyway.

I'm probably only taking my PB to be a villain. I am scrapping my Grav/FF controller I think.

I haven't decided who changes yet. I am reserving that decision until I know the mechanics that will be involved, but I will be moving a few characters in both directions.

Is this limited to only 50's or near-50's? The only one I have close is my main bluesider, Royal Sovereign. Chances of him switching ... well, he'll open the door for Golden Girl, if you follow me. My namesake on redside is a big, misunderstood dinosaur, so I could certainly see him switching or at least riding (crushing?) the fence, but he's only in the mid 30's or so.

I'll probably pick one or two on each side to switch eventually, just to see how that whole arc plays out. But it probably won't be right away.

50s - or maybe 48s and 49s too - I think it's to see what 50s might be doing while they wait for I19

Arc length is a good point, and one that I hadn't thought of before. However, at the very least, Momma Abrahms (at her suggestion) and the two Happ Hazards will go through it at the very least.

Well, I'm not sure Side Switching will only be for level capped characters, so this is for any character that 'would if he could'.

See, I got the impression that 20 was the level you could start doing either shady or less-villainous missions, and it'd escalate until eventually you'd go full-hero or -villain. I assumed it'd only take a few missions or levels at most.

I'll get back to you with that.

Oh good, I thought I had heard that as well about the unlock level. Can't say one way or the other on the length, though.

I'll either reroll my Grav/Elec Dom or make him as an Elec/Elec Dom to bring blue-side.

I'm also planning to roll a PB to take red.

I don't know if I have any characters right now that I'd swap. Maybe my Elec/WP Stalker?

It isn't - anyone between 20 to 50 can switch sides - but I think 50s are more important for this poll because pre-50s will still have normal levels left, so lack of endgame content isn't so important for them.

I only one character of mine, a villain, is set to turn to the blueside of the force. I'm thinking of switching over to heroes to greyside but not full-on redside. Other than those all my chars are going to stay right where they are. But I do plan on making new ones in Praetoria.

From my 3x toons I decided only three things:

My Empath/PSI Defender Life Nova will be overcame by her dark side, and go villain...
Her younger sister, the Pain Domination/Radiation Corruptor Anti-Life Nova will ascend... and go hero...

And I have a Brute, Flaming Sword, that believes she is a hero... time for finally get her mind fixed and move her blue side...

To all the others the destiny is uncertain...

In that case, the only side switcher I mentioned that's 50 would be Momma Abrahms.

Noob Buster will 100% defo go evil and be constantly switching sides. There is after all, noobs on both sides that need to be busted.

I'll send at least one in both directions just to check out the content/process. I'll be very tempted to move a lot of villains to the point where they can use the hero market, since the red market is so painful.

I think that's going to be a major reason for a lot of the first wave of side switching.

Thinking on broad terms...

Most of my toons will be shades of grey. Only a few are pure good or pure evil. And only a few can make the transition...

Of course it can all change... If the process of the transition is fun I guess a lot of the grey ones will complete the switch...

If there are no huge benefits attached to staying as a plain Hero/Villain, then most of my characters are going to be Vigilantes for the convenience.
