I think its more likely that the PEAT options would be PPD and Resistance. I've often made suggestions during the I19 beta conversations that the PPD powerset is one I would love to get my hands on, and a new ranged weapon set that the Resistance bosses use would also be a welcome addition. The Syndicate seem to use standard PC primary sets, so they wouldnt add anything new to the game.

I love the Synapse TF. I just finished it last night on my Fire/Fire tanker, and it was a lot of fun. Granted, I did die more than a couple times due to a lack of a healer in the party, and my power selection choices locking Hasten out because I took it too late. I dont think there are any signature TFs that I actively hate, other than the original Positron

That is indeed good news. Now, are people triple slotting the Performance Shifter proc (2 forms plus Stamina), or is that just crazy overkill?
-
I thought stamina was unavailable when in a form, and thus (similar to how it works if you exemplar below the level the power was taken), the proc also would not fire while shifted.
-
I'm not at home to check, but isnt Dull Pain (whether from Regen, or Inv, and I think the Electric Armour heal as well) a click type heal power that does indeed heal based on your max health?
In theory, its supposed to boost your health by a % amount, and then heal you that same amount (up to your new max health).
Or am I remembering it incorrectly, and its a fixed boost to ma health? -
Any chance you could put up a build? I'm slowly working on a Sonic/Sonic defender, but find that I have trouble keeping her alive for long.
-
Have you tried asking this question on the Titan Network message boards? I would guess there would be a much greater chance that their developers read their own forums with far greater scrutiny than the game forums.

I find them incredibly fun on any character that can avoid getting perma-held/slept/stunned. For those that cannot avoid this fate its almost a waste of time.
Dont get me wrong, I participate whenever I can, and really enjoy the action when I'm able to contribute. -
The only thing I can suggest is checking your co-op mission complete settings. I dual-box, and my 2nd account is set to automatically accept mission completes for matching missions. Ran through the whole arc with 2 sets of pairs, and each mission was completed once per pair, with each character getting credit. However, if your settings are to automaticallly reject co-op mission completes, then you will have to run the same mission multiple times.

Yes, there is an exit to Praetoria, and yes, it is marked. However, the mini-map indicator is a new category called Lounge, and if you havent enabled it to be displayed on the map, you wont see it.

I've had tha message come up in the past (when purchasing the GR extra pack, and the origins pack), and in each case, going through the purchase process a second time had the purchase go through successfully. In each case, my CC was charged a single time, and the initial purchase attempt simply failed to exist

You could use a keyboard with an LCD in it to display (whatever you like). I have a Logitech G-15, and have it displaying local time while I play, unless I start listening to music, when it switches over to a media display.

The questions have been answered, and the responses have been really good. The one thing I want to reiterate is the joining of global channels. I spent the first 3 of my 5 years here running around mainly on my own, teaming up here or there, slowly working my way up towards 50 with multiple characters, but never really focusing on anything, and progressing very slowly. I had never taken part in a task force, or fought any high level opponents.
Once I joined the various global channels (Protector, where I spend most of my time has 5 that are always in use), that all changed. Now,have access to a lot of content that I was missing out on, like task forces that are being run every day, and larger raids like the assault on the crashed rikti spaceship in the Rikti War Zone, and am basically a part of a larger community. -
The best use for it that I've found is in Praetoria. There is a lot of content in those 3 zones, and its easy to outlevel your contacts, and miss out on merits/badges. I find that once I get to around lvl 14, I turn off my XP until I've finshed everything to do in the 2nd zone, and moved onto the final one.

Since the freespecs dont stack, if you already have one you might as well use it now so that you dont lose it. Of course, if its someone you dont play often, you probably wont be using alot of respecs anyway, and you'll still have one at the end of the update process. In that case, not using the existing freespec wont be the end of the world.
-
I did indeed make a new Freedomite for tonight's festivities. What time does it start?
-
A year ago, it would probably have been my "main", and first 50 (fire/kin), but these days the one character I have more fun playing than any other is my latest 50 (Shield/Electric tanker). Hands down, he's the one I'm putting all my cash into in terms of IOs, and he's the one that I'll take down the Incarnate path first.
-
I showed my girlfriend the costume creator, and she's been playing with me for almost 2 years now, and I managed to drag another of my real-life friends into the game once he upgraded his computer. That pretty much makes up my supergroup.
-
Just a quick addition to the above comment. In addition to the Mission Computer, the base must also have a Raid Teleporter (as I found out yesterday while messing around in my base yesterday)

Oh, I know all about the soft cap and why people dont normally build more defence than that. However, 90% of my TFs are ITF, and I've watched that same guy's melee defence drop from 35% (which is about where its at, at the moment) to -40 while battling a single group, so I built in a bit of overkill into it. Shield Defense, more than any other primary, benefits from being in the center of the fighting, so he has to be able to shrug off a lucky hit or two and still keep his defences high enough to hopefully avoid a catastrophic cascade failure.
As for LotG, I can definitely see putting one in Grant Cover, but I certainly wouldnt put it into every power. Good call about the Steadfast unique, though. I can easily give up the last slot in Toughness for it.
There's already a pretty hefty AoE attack chain without requiring giving up Physical Perfection and Conserve Power for Blaze Mastery, especially as endurance can be an issue.
Thanks to both of you for your input, though. -
Hi all,
I've set up a Mids loadout for how I plan to slot my (very soon to be 50) Shield/Electric tanker once the new build comes out, hopefully next week, and I was hoping for some feedback.
I've managed to over-cap the Melee and Ranged defence (57.8% and 50.9% respectively), and am close to the soft cap for AoE (only 41.2%), but I was worried that there may have been something that I overlooked while focusing on defences. I'm a little concerned that there might be an Endurance issue, as Recovery only comes out to around 125%. I do plan on slotting the Miracle unique into the free Health slot, and a second Performance Shifter +End proc into Stamina (although, as Physical Perfection already has the full Perf. Shifter set, it might be better to just slot in a lvl 50 EndMod IO instead). Also, I could swap out the Stupify in Lightning Clap in favour of Force Feedback, which would give swap the 3.125 in Ranged defence for AoE, and also give a bit of a Regen and +Damage boost as well, effectively soft-capping all 3 positional defences, but at the cost of some Recovery, and +HP. I'm not sure if it's worth the trade-off, as Ranged attacks seem quite a bit more common than AoE, and sometimes come with a -def (I'm looking at you machinegunners).
Anyway, here's the build:

I cant begin to tell you how much I hate this mission. The problem with the caltrops is that every single mob on the map drops caltrops. And they spam them non stop. It seems like after every attack, a new set of caltrops gets thrown on the floor, and the new set does not negate the set thrown before it by that same unit. I've seen entire hallways completely covered from side to side several layers deep, doing stupid amounts of autohit damage every second. I've gotten to the point where I will auto delete this tip the second it drops.

That's certainly the assumption I would make when someone mentioned worrying about staff being on vacation for the holiday (Christmas/New Year). Most Thanksgiving vacations tend to be short term trips, rather than a couple weeks off for the end of the year. I cant recall ever taking more than 1 or 2 extra days off in October (Canada celebrates Thanksgiving early), but would consistantly take 2 or 3 weeks off for my winter holidays.
