The definition of a "proper" team is certainly debatable.
Thanks for taking the time to compile an outdated guide.

I still haven't gotten an explanation for why Stalkers would even want Ice Melee, one of the worst damage sets going.
So, why?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nobody here has to answer to you on this topic.
I'm all for being a smarmy dick to people that deserve it but I don't see how this deserves it. You might as well make some [censored] ascii art "pointing" at the suggestion forum while you are at it. -
[ QUOTE ]
*sigh*
I think I'd bet that a thread containing this very subject comes up more than once a week. Maybe on average, once a week. It's getting ridiculous.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm, I did a search for +regeneration and +willpower in the Scrapper forum for the last year and only saw two threads. I'll concede though that there are more than that with slightly different titles, maybe calling it "regen" or "wp." Still, that's two topics in one whole year vs. 1 a week on average.
I agree in that it's a [censored] topic and I doubted it was started for spurious reasons till I saw the OP responding "how so" to the proposition that his question was based on a BLATANTLY false premise of a blanket statement. -
[ QUOTE ]
Oh come on someone comment, don't just look at it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Christ man, I just opened the Scrapper forum for the first time today and you're already yelling at me, lol.
I'd say you don't need Focused Accuracy at all especially if you get the To Hit unique in there. You have, like, 68% global accuracy buff. Other than that, I'm not big into soloing AVs so no advice there. I like Grant Cover for teams though. Pretty snazzy IMO. -
I think, as an exercise, readers should point out at least 1/2 a dozen reasons why this last test is incredibly invalid.
I realize Alabaster12 admitted it was anecdotal at best but... yeesh. This isn't even in apples and oranges territory, more like apples and banks or something. -

Suggestions forum thattaway ---->
That said, quite honestly (a) I tended to find them pointless in D2, and often worse than useless in Guild Wars, and (b) given the AI we have, would you *really* voluntarily pick up another Fusionette or Lady Grey? :P
[/ QUOTE ]
Whoa, what crazy layout you using with the suggestion forum over there?! Or is it open in another tab? lol -
Just remember that, by Arcanavilles own admittance, there is a lot of her own POV and judgment being thrown in here and that the numbers are a bit hard to draw any really good and proper conclusions from. Not trying to sour the post in any way, just highlighting a real problem that the OP themselves is warning us about.
I never thought of the EATs being their own faction splintering the base of Red and Blue sides, that's some interesting food for thought. Thanks. -

Do you guys big Gold/Silver/Bronze?
[/ QUOTE ]
Buy rather than big?
Unless the toon is in the 30s, I buy Bronze. I choose the lower end of things when the character gets into the high forties, since a number of nice Pool As that cap at 30 are fairly rare. I also like to slot the two Steadfasts and Karma -kb on nearly every alt and get them for my sg-mates, and low Bronze produce a lot of these.
Like you say, Bronze *seems* more lucrative on average. It also seems more fun to me, 'cause MORE RECIPES.
[/ QUOTE ]
Bronze all the way. The others seem like a giant waste. The key is to know which ones to delete while you are sitting at the AE ticket vendor counter. Delete the chaff and roll more bronze.
[/ QUOTE ]
I like to roll at an AE near a quartermaster and sell to them rather than delete, but honestly that's pretty much chump change in the long run. Then again... maybe it adds up. I never tracked it or nothin' -

Case Study:
Which works better vs melee Fire damage:
A. 50% Melee Defence
B. 50% Fire Defence
C. 50% Melee Defence with 30% Fire Defence
D. 50% Fire Defence with 30% Melee Defence
E. They are all the same
Serious question. Just want to be sure.
[/ QUOTE ]
None of them work until you have some DEFENSE instead.
Highest defense stat always gets applied.
Also important to note, if they throw an AoE attack at you from Melee range, it's AoE defense that gets applied. -

This is very common. So common, it's actually what flippers depend on to make money.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I used to list at 119 inf but I just got too lazy.
It's neat that we can all make billions flipping or actually playing and listing for 1 inf. -

Step one; make a soft capped to smash lethal fire/kin.
Step two: farm smash/lethal mobs.
Step three: bronze roll and sell.
Repeat.
Edit: oh and nice work B-ry.
[/ QUOTE ]
This works, but the soak rate of bronze IO's is a little low to move them all in 24 hours.

Absolutely true, Bronzes will eat up your tray unless you really prune your rolls hardcore. -

Only problem I face with rolling bronzes anymore is getting TOO greedy and running out of sale slots.

DA is more efficient than regular mission play, but MA is yards more efficient than DA.
Which is pretty hilarious, considering the dev's daydream that we not use it for farming.
[/ QUOTE ]
You know, I had this revelation a little while ago that I keep thinking about posting, but the other threads on MA farming are too depressing, so I'll say it here where no one will care.
The canon explanation for the MA is that it's a combat simulator. Of course people are going to ruthlessly farm it - RP almost demands it, particularly villainside.
And of course I had to write a story with that as the theme, which turned out to be Power Progression.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've never understood, from a RP perspective, how a simulator gives equal experience and especially equal influence/infamy as a real mission.
But those other MA threads are like all the Jerry Springer and wannabe shows. All the same. Not worth watching.
[/ QUOTE ]
Experience wise, this simulator is unreal. It's a perfect simulation of reality in the CoX world. So whatever the heck "xp" is supposed to be in the CoX world I can see it giving that out easily. There is literally NO difference in what you experience in the CoX AE vs. the CoX "real world."
Infamy... heh. I suppose Aeon is somehow making large donation and fighting for good/evil on our behalf then giving us the results? I got nothing... lol
Edit: Maybe the AE missions are televised somehow? It's not like INF is MONEY. Maybe the guy down at the Magic Store was like "Hey, I love that guy on MISSION ARC xxxx show, next time he's here I'll give him those Pauldrons of Stamina recovery..."
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Were you only running farms? My own experience is that SFMAs are slower than regular PvE due to the lack of patrol XP (and to some extent the lack of mission and arc bonuses, but mostly it's the patrol XP).
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah I meant compared to the farms. I was farming mainly to get 1 char up to 50 for Kheldians and to try out different power combinations. Doesn't take much farming to get a new char to the 20's where you get a good idea of how they play.
I found that the slower XP progression in regular MA (non-farm) was offset by the lack of need to run around all over the frickin place between missions. But like I said, getting out of the AE building was a breath of fresh air, just slooooooow progression.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh good lord, don't make excuses for "farming" or powerleveling. It comes off like a bad penthouse letter. "I don't do this but a friend wanted me to ask..." Farming is just farming, it's certainly isn't against ToS or EULA or whatever the fun term of the moment is. -
I do this all day, list everything at 1 inf and somehow still made a #9 of money...
-
To reiterate what was already stated, it was removed during GDN.
If it was still in the game it would probably be like, 1 or .5 percent. -

Two minutes of build-up for ten seconds of debuff? Yes please.
[/ QUOTE ]
Personally I would rather have a -1000% recovery and -160% damage debuff for 10 seconds. Feels like a cop out to do such an extreme damage debuff value.
[/ QUOTE ]
*cough*Sands of Mu vet power unenhanceable damage*cough*
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup, vet powers are uneffected by the -damage, and if you happen to be FA you can use Burn during the rage crash and once it is over the Burn damage will jump back up on its own.
Edit: Its the endurance part that gets me.
[/ QUOTE ]
Burn damage jumps around on it's own anyways as it only seems to be able to remember 5 seconds of buffs/debuffs.
As for the topic, it has yet to make the game blow up, fall over and sink into a swamp for the last 5 years so let us give it 5 more and see.
I miss when rage used to knock you drunk unless you were high enough for Unyielding (stance? lol) to protect you from it. Then a rikti would go SLICE and bam you lost every toggle...
