    The 50/50 Split.

That seems to think people don't know that hitting Quote on ignored posters just shows you what they post...
  2. While leveling I took Pulverize, Jawbreaker and Clobber but once I had Whirling Mace and Shatter and started eyeballing the upcoming Crowd Control I felt I had way too many attacks piling up, especially with hasten. I ended up respecing and dropping Jawbreaker. I little bit of global recharge set bonuses helped fill out the attack chain a bit when Hasten is down. Also, when dipping into the fighting pool I basically just took boxing/kick off the tray.

Endurance is slightly rough pre-20 like all brutes. I slot with an eye to end reduction in attacks though and endurance management is pretty much is resolved. Health is a great power for SD too. Slotting Numina unique and Performance Shifter +End should let you get away with the fighting pool which I took instead of any patron. No patron because, as above, PLENTY of attacks and 3 of them AOEs to boot!

Slotting with an eye to positional bonuses is nice with this set. Steadfast Unique, 2 or 3 slot Zephyr bonus etc. All noticeable increases to survivability. Multistrikes are cheap and go in 4 attacks, Whirling Mace, Shatter, Crowd Control and Shield Charge. Plus they really cut down on end use.

One of the big annoyances in the combo, to me, is redraw and attack chain interrupting by Active Defense. Veteran attacks and temp powers galore cause redraw for War Mace. The timing on Active Defense seems to show up perfectly when busting out a Build Up for Shield Charge. I've been experimenting with only turning on AD when needed rather than control clicking it...

And scrapper's chance to crit never increases in ANY situation, teamed or not.

The stalker crit is more effective on teams because it fires more often.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nah, Stalker crit GOES DOWN solo. /spin
  4. [ QUOTE ]
Have you slotted the Kismet +ToHit Unique IO? That adds +6% toHit (yes I know it says +acc, but it's +toHit, which is even better). That makes a noticeable difference. I have it slotted in every scrapper (and most other chars), just for QoL. That's for zero power picks and zero endurance. I would do that before taking a dive into Foc. Acc..

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is all the way. A little +to hit with a little +Acc bonuses from set IO's and whatever accuracy you end up with from slotting will be amazingly sufficient. For those times you really need a boost you should have BU in most sets.
  5. Fora eh? LOL

Streak breaker is more for a long streak of misses when you should be hitting. Or so Arcanaville says here.

    [ QUOTE ]
    What I'd do with Rage:

Nerf the ToHit down to 5% + 20% Accuracy (both enhance with ToHit slotting).

Give a reduced, but unenhanceable recharge (perma but non-stacking).

Nerf the damage to somewhere between 65% and 75%

Remove the crash so it has 100% uptime.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So...umm you'd just add 65-75% bonus damage to SS outright and scrap rage. Oh and give the set a free accuracy and tohit bonus on all of it's powers plus add a permanent damage boost to any damage abilities and taunt aura's in the secondary and any ancillary powers with no downside at all. Basically it'd be taking SS would equal gaining a huge damage buff without taking any powers at all. With no downside at all.

    That's so so not happening.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep, that's what he said to the [censored] letter, gj.

Long ago a dev stated that SS was balanced damage wise around Rage existence, is this still true?
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Maybe I should have rephrased it. I'd rather die than wait for Devices to do its work.

The way I see /Dev used -and I know you use it differently- is generally like this:
    Trip mine [4 seconds]
    Caltrops [1 second]
Wait for Recharge [5 seconds; may include a second Caltrops]
    Trip Mine [4 seconds]
    Pull With Fireball [1 second]
Wait Around Corner For Badguys To Arrive [5 seconds? I dunno]

... 20 seconds for one spawn. I could be on the next spawn by then.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I normally have a lot of respect for you and your efforts on guides and such, but "i'd rather die?" wtf?
  8. Wait, people want to kill bosses in a single hit? Where was that said in this thread?
  9. I once stuck a table fork in a Beta edition Fork spell...

Then again I'm not seeing a good parallel of magic cards to IO's. A parallel to be sure, but not a good one.

I'll add my voice to those that say that if the markets were ever going to be merged, MA was the time to do it. There was so much craziness with the markets that people probably wouldn't have noticed until after the dust settled and then found that something they were looking to get had an identical sales history both blue- and red-side. It was a lost opportunity and I wonder if there will ever be another one as golden as with the MA.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You are right. In a game world limited only by the nigh infinite possibilities of it's creators imaginations they could never create events of such magnitude again.

As for the Cimerora proposal, I think it would only be hampered by the slightly more involved travel need of getting to ONLY Cimerora. Unless the WW/BM interface was somehow hooked up to it...

You remind me of a korean movie called 'old boy'... a dude is locked in for 15 years in a private cell... 1 st think he has when he gets outs is "who".... wrong question.

meanning, if you ask yourself the wrong question, you wont get any answers... besides, you made the answer... its called a double case.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Someone explain this to me please. I hate being in the dark.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    watch the movie.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nobody is going to be inclined to do so until you can explain yourself clearly and understandably. In fact, you are making a case AGAINST the movie by being acting the way you are. How so? People will say to themselves, "This movie attracts THAT kind of person eh? Pass..."

It is, in fact, a interesting enough movie though. Mild recommendation from me, some folks love Parks directing and style. Lots more do not, more is the pity.
  12. I was impressed with this thread going nearly 2 full pages of open and honest discussion on topic without judgment, then...

You just signed up on the forum 2 days ago and you're asking what the fastest leveller is?

Why are you even spending money to play the game?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Consider that people play games without registering on forums and for a variety of reasons. Also, reg date =/= start of play.

I give everything a chance to sell, and a lot of it does.

If it's still sitting there after a couple of days, I'll delete it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Same as this for me. I just throw up just about anything that drops. Red market is pretty slow though and I tend to pull down and vendor anything if someone else is also sitting there trying to sell. I get kinda worried that they will slowly dry up anymore, merge markets plox!

On another note, scrapper inherent is totally primary.

    [/ QUOTE ]
i could swear the Scrapper inherent is totally damage, not powerset, related. Damage auras and attacks in the secondary get crits, and i could swear pool attacks do as well. Am i remembering it wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]Of the Scrapper secondary powers that deal damage (Death Shroud, Dark Regeneration, Soul Transfer, Blazing Aura, Consume, Burn, Rise of the Phoenix, and Shield Charge), none are capable of critical hits.

Pool power attacks can crit, though.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Ah, okay. i didn't recall seeing crit messages from Death Shroud, but don't usually focus on the aura messages while fighting. i did recall seeing AS crit messages.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It does work with power pools and epic pools. More of a case of excluding the secondary specifically it feels like. So is it the only case of it's kind? MM's supremacy?
  15. [ QUOTE ]
/SR has actually been through quite a few changes.

Issue 0 it was at passives: 5%((11% enhanced) toggles: 10%(22% enhanced). Yes, really, this is what Gecko thought was balanced compared to toggle instant healing.

sometime down the line, they go up to 10% and 20% respectively. I-5 was the global defense nerf which brought them to what they are now, which is close to what they used to be(go figure), and I-6 was ED. The magic 45 was not in effect until I-7, and it was a rough 2 issues for some defense characters.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, I remember this very clearly, my Claws/SR with the crazy long animations picked up Stealth toggle and suddenly was way more defensive. Popping a purple was "zomg" strong on top of that!

Yeah I think it's freaking WIN. It makes perfect sense anyway. Soldiers of Arachnos shouldnt be about being ebil, but they are in fact ebil, by playing both sides for the most personal gain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The word is evil, there is no b in it.
and ebil just looks silly and makes
the one posting it look a little dumb.

As to going rogue and side switchin SoAs
I pray that we can't switch, though I'll
guess we can. Its one of the aspects of
the going rogue that will likely be my
    end of this game.

The word is "switching" and not typing the g and limiting your posts to 40 columns is dumb, imo.

Have you ever ran positron task force on a non wp, sd, or DA scrapper? If not, try it. What you experiance there is whats gonna happen to you the rest of the game until you respec that power back in.

[/ QUOTE ]Fixed, /Dark gets their mez protection pre-15, too.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Minor nitpick. DA doesn't get knock back protection, and most of what you're facing in that TF is tons, and TONS, of earthquakes.

[/ QUOTE ]Steadfast Protection: -KB is available at level 10.

In infinite quantities, for free, to all scrappers!

Not sure which 3 you mean, Health/tough/weave? That's 5 powers. I only have room for 3 and still be able to build the way I want. I have (want) to go either Fitness OR Fighting.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm actually kind of interested in what kind of weird postulation defines "room for 3" when asking "health or tough/weave" then says that taking all 3 of them is five powers. Do you already have boxing/kick and so health is "2 powers" while "tough/weave" is "2 powers" as well?

If you aren't going for stamina then health is pretty much a "why bother" power for a WP. I would look for a way to fit in hurdle/swift+health+Stam+boxing/kick+Tough+Weave as they all synergize well especially on a nice big HP pool Brute, IMO.

Picking up Tough+Weave can be a definite end drainer even for a WP Brute running QR without Stamina.

Today I decided to create a new alt on freedom, and I have to say that the endurance usage has gone through the roof.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    no it hasn't.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well technically, if he re-rolled the same powersets but didn't slot the same endredux in powers as he had on the original then, yes, his personal use of endurance is larger!

There goes your chance at the bug hunter badge

    [/ QUOTE ]

If I thought badges were worth anything I might find that disheartening.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It is worth something: the powa to tell badge hunters you, who could care less about badges, have a badge they will likely never get

If he doesn't think it's worth something, then he doesn't think it is worth something. DUH.

Make sure you /bug it. And don't use it intentionally... the devs get annoyed at exploiting bugs.

Though this does make me wonder... if you had someone time Recall Friend exactly right, could you fire off a two mile long Golden Dragonfly?

    [/ QUOTE ]

They can get a [censored] annoyed as they want I'm still going to do it until they say or do something about it. I've been doing this since before that "arcanatime" post and after that post I knew why and how to abuse it much better. /em devilhorns

Who gives a name to a bullet or bomb?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Arooo? There are lots of famous bullets with "your" name on them and bombs named all kinds of crazy crap, from Jughead to Little Boy!
  23. [ QUOTE ]
tremor takes 3.4 seconds adjusted for arcanatime to fire

the brute thread about this was lost in the recent purge

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is a useless clarification, all attacks must be "adjusted for arcanatime" so no need to specify. I don't tell family members, "I'll be home at 5pm, adjusted for daylight savings...."

As for KB, in issue 1, chasing [censored] around on my SS tanker was god damned annoying. Now with the ability to slot KB enh in attacks and decide what we want I wish everything was KD.

You could use sands of mu, dark melee's shadow maul, and flurry. All of them have super fast punches being thrown all in succession.

    Seconded.

    Thirded.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's terrible for Fury, though it does OK for Scrappers and Tankers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is true, they are attacks which lose more fury during their animation than they generates. Mu and flurry are also crap damage

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hey, you know what works great for a bunch of fury though? Running in and getting a bunch of aggro with your triple cone attacks o' doom!

What's with the "..." replies in this thread, plenty of good advice on a fairly unique topic. Just because it isn't about 'SOLOZAR TEH AVEES" doesn't make it contemptible IMO.

Here is a quote for you
I find the amount of inspirations I need are usually directly preportional to how stupid or overconfident I am.

The smarter I play the less I need them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    "proportional"

Also, I find the smarter I play the more insps I get to pop, "just for kicks and fun." They rain from the sky like skittles in a T.V. spot if you play well, chew 'em if you got 'em.

I am also loathe to do anything to discourage their use because of this. Use your insps people, they aren't [censored] Pokemon to be collected and stared at.
