This weekend, I accidentally bought a stack of 10 pieces of a somewhat common salvage (I want to say Thorn Tree Vines) for 35 million each.
This weekend, I also accidentally deleted 2 Apocalypses
It was a bad weekend for me. -
Quote:This reads pretty much like my story.I heard about City Of Heroes when it first came out, and I thought it was a cool concept, but that was at a time I didn't have a computer, thus it was a moot point to me. Several years passed and I did finally get a computer, in early 2008.
Sometime around summer I saw the advertisement for the City of Heroes free trial, and I remembered the game. I was on an MMO kick around then, so I pondered signing up. It wasn't until October 2nd 2008 that I finally decided to take the plunge. I figured "Hell, it's just a free trial. If it sucks, no harm."
I bought in twenty minutes into the trial, and have been here ever since. -
I did not know this change took place. Jeez, this makes the badge a breeze now.

Quote:Not always true. While Malwarebytes is a fantastic program, even it will miss things from time to time.Download Malwarebytes and run it. If it doesn't find anything, you have a problem that only a tech experience in rootkit removal will be able to solve.
I routinely run malwarebytes, superantispyware and avast, myself -
my main is a wp/wm tanker, and without IOs, he performed quite well.
I started tinkering around with cheap IOs, and his performance is improved. (Frankenslotted, probably spent about 100 mil, but got a few lucky rolls)
Now that I have more fundage, I am working on a more extensive build. -
Quote:I regularly use FireFox with ABP. It happens routinely for me.Didn't this have something to do with people running Firefox in combination with Add-Ons like Adblock, Greasemonkey and No-Script?
I run Firefox with AdBlockPlus and don't have any problems.
And if I did have problems, it really wouldn't be the web-designers' fault. They can't take into account every add-on that people use.
However, if this is happening using IE/Firefox/Chrome/etc without any plugins/addons, then yes, I would definitely say that's a developmental issue.
I have also tried browsing in IE, Chrome and Safari (none of which have any add ons whatsoever), and it occurs on each of them, as well.
I am regularly on one other vBulletin message board, and I have never been logged out of that one irregularly. -
Those were my thoughts exactly.

Quote:There's someone else on the boards from Brampton, and another from Mississauga, but I don't recall their names.Thank you Bramphousian. You are right, you cannot customize epic powers.
FYI, i am from Woodbine RaceTrack, glad to see someone on who lives in my area. I have met 4 other people from the Toronto area. Brampton is just north/west corner above Toronto.
The only local people on Champion I know of, are you and Dinah. I believe Neuronia is the one from Ottawa, and Gender Poison is from St. Catharines.
I work with a guy who works part time at the race track. Six degrees of GTA Champions -
and their small isn't as small as ours! In fact, I think their small is our medium, their medium is our large, their large is our XL, and their XL is ungodly.

Sin Spikes are a head "Detail 1" and Alien is a full-helmet available on male/huge models only. Couldn't tell you why.
And power customization is not (yet) available for Power/Epic/Patron powers -
Quote:My wife did that with Ensorcelled Weapons last year. She noticed there were something like 50 with no bids, and she bought them all for, like, 10 inf each. People started to seed them (ruining her 10 inf/ea fun) and she kept buying them immediately (maxing at about 100k). It took her about an hour total (including running into my base to store). She listed a pile on her alts, and turned her 2 million inf investment into about 200 mil in under an hour.Did somebody do a Luck Charmers number to see what would happen if they bought them all up or something?
Then it bottomed out, and as a result, I still have about 30 of the damn things in my base. -
Rikti Heavies spawn naturally as EBs in RWZ.

Banana McJammyPants - on the ITF. Defeating a Cyclops in the second mission.
Mr Grieves - on the ITF. On the rooftops.
Pharoah McJammyPants - on the ITF. During the Romulus fight.
Bramphousian - on the ITF. I hit a Cyclops on the last mission just as the Cyclops hit me. Both were defeated, but the XP rezzed me.
Banana was the only one I thought would hit 50 on the task force. The others all just happened to be on it. Now, it's become a tradition -
500 million inf says they re-release in 3-D.

Welcome, BlueMyth!
Let me confirm that this game is great for the casual player. I consider myself a casual player, as well.
You made a great choice by picking Champion! It has a medium-sized playerbase, but let me assure you: the most skilled players I have teamed with in the past two years have been Champs. While we're home to some pretty fantastic drama, the "Community Server" label is also quite accurate. I have not really made any in-game friends, and I am not terribly well-known, but the vast majority of players have all been really friendly to me, and I suspect you'll find the same.
There are a couple of large channels you may want to join to find teams, chat, or get assistance.
BMT of Champion (Badges, Monsters and Task Forces) is a great way to find teams or become involved in events. A word of advice, though... off-topic chat is discouraged, and farming discussion is prohibited. The channel serves its purpose quite well. Send a tell to @Cobalt Azurean, @Force, @ReDorothy or @iltat for an invite. (I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones I remember).
Another is Champions United. This one is a bit more loose with its rules. General chatter is okay, and it's another resource to find teams. I don't remember if it's invite-only.. but I think it's moderated by @Viking Queen, @Elf_Stalker, and a few others (sorry, Bud... I don't remember your uses of V's and X's and such)
Feel free to send me a tell or in-game email, and I'll be happy to help you when I can. @Bramphousian. -
This is what I imagined, when I first heard "Tin Mage"
-
Did you maybe activate a new account, instead of updating your current one?
-
Pretty well every character I've created came from thinking of a name I liked.

Quote:I don't know that this is the case. I think it's catering to the "geek" in the audience, with some of the guest-cast choices.I loved the Lou Ferrigno cameo. Glad to see they did more with him than they did with Dolph Lundgren. On the other hand, I'm a bit worried that they're doing a lot of stunt casting; Linda Hamilton, Dolph Lundgren, Lou Ferrigno, Karolina Kurkova, Olivia Munn, Isaiah Mustafa, Steve Austin, Nicole Richie. Stunt casting is often a sign that they know the show is weak but rather than fix the problems they cast cameos of people they hope the audience will tune in to see.
In addition to some of the names you listed: Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap, Carl Lumbly from Alias/Justice League Brian Thompson from X-Files, Bruce Boxleitner from Babylon 5, Jordana Brewster, Christopher Lloyd, Michael Clarke Duncan, Dominic Monaghan, etc, etc.
though the show has been "on the bubble" every year, I think it's more of a device to get "geek cred", than it is stunt-casting. -
mark my words... if we get offline SG invites in the near future, I will personally mail War Witch something Canadian.
