Can't say I'm a Potter Fan... but I'm all for movies dropping Layered Vision.

I'm glad that rules out the possibility of a 3D conversion delaying the release at all. Been dying to see the last movies since I finished up reading the series a couple months back.

Ok it doesnt really mean the tide is turning, it only says the decision was made because the 3d work on part one would not have been done in time for the release date. And if i recall a couple years back they did delay a Harry potter movie, and that thanksgiving we got twilight if i am not mistaken. Fans really threw a fit when the film was delayed, so im sure they dont want to do that again. And with release windows, you want a film for harry to come out in the summer time, so if you delayed part 1, then it would have to move to july, which means part 2 delays to nov, and is in conflict im sure with the last twilight films part 1.

Now dont get me wrong i would have loved to have read this article and seen "WB has decided that 3D conversions of its films is a gimmick and a waste of money and has decided not to subject its fans to craptastic conversions of 2d movies." But honestly that is not what it said at all in any way. It simply said "we dont have the time and fear our fans if we delayed the film for 3d"

even more important: the Green Lantern trailer will premiere with the new HP movie

3D is just the way theaters are trying to combat people downloading movies at home. But films like the HP franchise don't need it. Potter brings crowds in already.

When every 3d movie is also released in 2d i see no reason to think it will prevent piracy. Pirates are cheap *** holes to begin with, even if they went to see the movie, they probably wouldnt fork out for the glasses anyway.
