Costume Questions
I never even heard of those, but now im curious too.
Also this is customization, but for powers. Can we edit Patron power pools and the hero version like we can for our primary and secondary powers?
My boyfriend William logged in and confirmed that he has those pcs. so it appears that the sin scales and alien full helemt pcs. are for male characters only (not fair!).
As for Epic Power Customization i am going to log in my Grav/Emp/Ice Troller and find out. Brb with an answer in a few minutes!
"Champion (the Community Server... or GTFO) is like a small town where everyone knows each other's names, for better or worse." -kojirodensetsu.
"If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail." - Maslow's Hammer
Sin Spikes are a head "Detail 1" and Alien is a full-helmet available on male/huge models only. Couldn't tell you why.
And power customization is not (yet) available for Power/Epic/Patron powers
Thank you, Champion.
Thank you Bramphousian. You are right, you cannot customize epic powers.
FYI, i am from Woodbine RaceTrack, glad to see someone on who lives in my area. I have met 4 other people from the Toronto area. Brampton is just north/west corner above Toronto.
Not currently, but has been highly suggested on numerous occasions both on the forums and at various hosted functions.

Almost all the other power pools don't have much, if anything, in the way of SFX to customize and almost all the APP powers have already cusomizable versions in normal powersets.
I'd be happy with just Superspeed and Hasten getting customizable. Just kick that Live and I'll wait for the APP/PPP stuff

I better make that 5 ppl then because i thought you lived in Ottawa? Ottawa is about a 3 hour drive from Toronto.
But i guess if i start walking now i might make it to your place by nightfall (old joke, its a canadian thing, like "TIMMIES!")
Ok Dinah, you can explain Timmies if you want to so the Bart Simpson raised Americans can understand the joke (Hint...There is one on EVERY CORNER!)
Thanks for the answer, good to know this now before I chose one. Dont want orange fire on my green fire character.

and their small isn't as small as ours! In fact, I think their small is our medium, their medium is our large, their large is our XL, and their XL is ungodly.
Thank you, Champion.

The only local people on Champion I know of, are you and Dinah. I believe Neuronia is the one from Ottawa, and Gender Poison is from St. Catharines.
I work with a guy who works part time at the race track. Six degrees of GTA Champions
Thank you, Champion.
Aside from just working on other stuff, I'd reckon the biggest delay on this is the Patron powers and the Speed pool.

As long as we are on the topic of Costumes and Power Customization shall we also use this thread for the topic of Costume Contests? This is the Halloween season followed by X-mas, so.....
Here are a few of my past remarks:
- You want to stand out, use colors and costume pieces that others are not using.
- Make 3-4 costumes to switch between. When you get to the cc you can see what others are wearing and change to something different. If 8 robots appear, maybe one of them will get picked, so you want a backup costume.
- Look at what CC winners are wearing, this will give you an idea of what works!
- Osiris-Ka of UHB wins a lot of costumes, see what he is wearing!
- Being a judge is easy sometimes, i stand back and see what stands out from the rest, then i move in to see details.
Once in awhile you get a surprise when you get closer, someone may have what appears simple, but is not. An example is MIME, a hero who looked like a genuine mime surrounded by gaudy heroes and he worked his charcter with e-motes that fit the character and was very impressive. That little extra effort and thought made all the judges realize as well the audience that this hero deserved the win!
Any other advice and observations would be welcome
A guide to costume contests! I'm such an idiot I just show up.
I recently learned that elaborate isn't always the key. I made a very simple costume for Halloween, two actually, and the Beetlejuice costume was met with very positive feedback.

On a related side note, maybe someone should write a guide on how to win Costume Contests.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.
Major flaw. taste. You just have to hope the judge has similar taste to you.

Amygdala's Guide to the Cathedral of Pain Trial
Here's my guide:
1. Make a costume that YOU like.
2. Don't get bent out of shape if you don't win, and be a gracious loser
3. If you don't like the way the contest was run or judged, don't participate in future CCs if those people are running/judging, and save the Drama for private tells.
4. Profit.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
I saw a few costume items that are not in my tailor options that other people have been wearing. I realize some come with expansion sets or special editions, but the following 2 have been around for a long time so they should be available.
1. Alien (Helmet), this option is in the AE editor and Alien Wonka was using it during a CC at the 1st yr anniversary for Stoned Templars sg. I have the pics. So how do you get it?
2. Detail 2 (Head) - Sin Scales - many heroes have used this such as Sin Screamer and Emprad formerly of SF. They are a small ring of horns that go on the helmet. So Why do i not have the option?
Are these for male heroes only?
If people want to they can post costume questions here on this thread. Hopefully we can help each other and new people out as well.
