Pats Dominator on the head.
Says in a soothing voice, "There, There Sweetie, It will be all right, things will get better, i promise...So Stop Trying To Break The Couch!"
Smacks Steel across the back of the head ;p -
Despite my bashing the beforehand mentioned players in the past for thier style being radically different than mine...Look at the games i played and the sites i have been on...i speak with experience and a broad knowledge. The players are different...not bad...not evil....not wronge....just DIFFERENT!
I have been on ALL servers and CHAMPION Server has the best players and most radical. CHAMPION Server...Atlas Park...City of Heroes...no matter what happens...will always feel like HOME! -
With CoH winding down...i posted this to show people there are places to go and have fun...IMVU is a chat site not a game...its a great place to meet and chat and create!
If your artistic and love chatting with new people this is a fantastic idea.
Cobalt you created channels to do exactly this...give people a place to chat and get a hold of each other to make teaming and setting goals such as Giant Monster hunting easier and fun!
Cobalt, i, budweiser, scooter (lord stryker), amygdala, cherry, steel dominator, steel brigade, neuronia, undead cyborg, katie marie, elfer (elfstalker), Acroyear, Madame H all are doing what we feel is best. We argue about each others approach but the bottom line is...WE CARE...we take time to make the game more fun and get people together.
I think everyone should check out the link i posted to view IMVU and decide for themselves if they have any interest at all...most of you the answer will be NO! I wish you well in whatever game you go to! I DO RECOMMEND NCSoft Games still...they are awesome!
Yes i wish we were treated better having CoH shut down, but they did what they felt best for the company since Guild Wars 2 is a HUGE success! So its worth checking out to see why. -
I left CoH for a year and a half after running one of the greatest sg's ever to appear. I am on 6 MMORPG's and 4 Chat Sites. For one of these chat sites i am a designer and work with the companies Staff assisting people with questions about the site. You want to find me...download IMVU at http://www.imvu.com and come see me in the IMVU Welcome Room. My name on IMVU? FeliciaDivine
I also run IMVU FASHION ELITE a premier fashion group. Want to see what is possible? Want to see that the world can be what you make of it? Then check out the following link!
http://www.simplesite.com/imvufashionelite
6 MMORPG's:
Star Wars The Old Republic: Felicia (Sith Bounty Hunter - yes i was a Beta Tester)
Star Trek Online: Captain Divine (U.S.S. Warcry)
EVE Online: Amelia Starheart (Gallante)
World of Warcraft: Khmerigneatu (Troll Warrior - Aggrammar server)
Lineage 2: Winter Garden (Dark Elf Warrior)
City of Heroes: Felecia Divine (Dark Defender - Champion Server)
There are rumours that CoH might be bought out and come back as CoH2...There are people and companies interested...question is can an agreement be made...only time will tell...this is STILL the best designed game i have seen...despite several bad decisions (praetorians, incarnates, F2P are not well thought out). -
Hugs Witty...let me know what time...im in eastern time zone...i'll bring whatever is needed to round out the team...Uber Dark Defender, Grav/Emp, Psi/Emp, Fire/Emp, Emp/Rad, Claw/WP Scrap or Warshade. Did i mention i have an Emp?
Ok i still dont have a 50 Tank or know how to use one properly
But my Dark Defender still Tanks better than you ;p -
You and i disagreed how PvP should have been handled. All i wanted was some fairness, not have a noob level 50 unenhanced against an 8 yr vet purpled out. No one explained to me how a uber-50 with an extra 400% defence and 500% damage bonus was fairly fighting a noob 50?
I stand by everything i said in the past. I stand for people working together, sharing, and growing together...a real community. My whole sg is based around this concept. We have fought PoN and we have aided it's members...but ALL-OUT-WAR members have ALWAYS had respect for PoN and it's members...that respect was always earned!!!!
PoN in my opinion is the best blend of PvE and PvP. The dedication of its core group is inspiring.
I will miss Budweiser and Elfer (ElfStalker) the most.
Budweiser, i always considered you one of the Triumverant....the 3 important leaders on the server.
Lord Stryker for pulling people together to excel at missions
Budweiser for helping pvp thrive and grow
Felecia Divine for covering everything the other two did not
If CoH does finally close its doors...Budweiser and Lord Stryker are the ONLY two i respect enough to follow on another MMORPG! Wherever they are...these great men...for good or evil...they have a HUGE impact!
These are just my personal thoughts. Signed: Marianne Minshall (WoodBine Race Track, Toronto, Ontario, Canada).
It has been one helluva ride! -
Bud...we both know better than just about anyone there are always going to be negative people...Do what you think is right...you have done Video's, held PvP events, led one of the 5 best SG's in the history of the game, asked for people to help with protests against coh closing.
Actions speak louder than words...you have nothing to prove...your actions have already spoken for you. Nothing the others say can change who we are or our reputations.
You are one of the greatest players of our time!
That Is All! -
OK, i read the first page before making my earlier posts...then i went back to read the other pages...I did not realize this was not ITF...this is what happens when you first come back to the forums after a long lay-off...you become a little dis-oriented with all the new stuff.
But my advice is still the same regarding ANY Arch-Villian...know what your up against and go in over-prepared. -
As an added Bonus for those new and reading this thread...old school trick...take a Shivan with you on Katie Hannon TF...The Shivan will help you take out Mary McComber and her witches fast but save it for the last round or two when things get tough.
-
I have been away for a year and a half and im shocked to see this post...I was one of the first to take advantage of Romulus and his weaknesses and had a huge forum debate about my techniques. My technique lead to Romulus being revamped so he doesnt die as quickly.
I am obviously pre-Incarnate...you dont need it...you need to be smart.
I use a Dark Defender...so adjust your tactics accordingly....yes you hear right....DARK DEFENDER...not Tank...not Scrapper....DEFENDER!
Simply snipe away the defenders and take them down slowly...When Romulus is down to his Nictus only...then...this is where many will scream...cheater...
Pull out a Vanguard HVAS and a Longbow Cataphract to add to your damage output....the reason you want these is Vanguard Mech has 75% Stun Resist and Cataphract has 90% so when Romulus Rises and Stuns, your prepared. DO NOT target Romulus until your ready with your mechs. Now with incarnate powers you might have enough damage output but the mechs are there to keep him busy as he rezzes. Some Tanks, Blasters, and Scrappers maxed out on IO's could take him solo pre-incarnate as well, you just need to pack 3-4 Breakfrees.
My method...pull out mechs...lay down TarPatch (lowers his defences) then when i hit him with Darkest Night (lowers his accuracy and those of his nictus) the mechs attack. Soon as you target him directly your pets attack. I follow up with MoonBeam to help the mechs bring him down...if it is going slowly i power up BlackStar (my equilvalent of Nova).
The mechs will take him down in seconds and he will rez...let him stun you...target him again so the mechs go to work on him while you prep a breakfree. Origionally the trick was you could kill him as he Rezzed so he was dead again before he hit the ground...now he is invulnerable until he lands.
Since most wont be defenders or have debuffers...use Warburg Nukes.
You could beat him without all this if your a Fire Blaster, Ice or Stone Tank, or a Lethal Scrapper maxxed out if your DPS is high enough...but it is better to go in over-prepared...call this cheating if you will...but the temp powers are in the game to help you for a reason...and if you want results...this is the way to do it!
The ones who are in the forums calling me a cheater...well half of thier missions and TF's fail for a reason and many never can solo AV's...i can solo all of them...im successful...thats the bottom line...play how you want...i get the job done...even after these others have quit the team. I do NOT abandon teammates or missions.
It's Time For ALL-OUT-WAR! -
Yep ignore all the posts except the OP, not one of you said anything nice or helpful since my last post.
As i stated in my first post i expected nothing but garbage posts to follow. You people seem to follow and jump on other peoples posts on a regular bases and always on my posts. I hope all the new people who see this thread will take note of the other posters and avoid them. -
First was my Gravity/Empathy Controller - Deep Reach - made this as a support character. I thought heals and buffs would be a good thing. Turns out most people play scrappers and tanks so it worked out well.
Second was Felecia Divine. My boyfriend had played a Dark Defender (William Alexander) when i made Deep and it worked really well, seemed very well balanced, so i gave it a try. I joined SF and ended up playing with a fantastic player called Captain Scotland (who still plays) who had an alt called Darklin Wizard which was a Dark Defender, whom i consider my mentor.
Sidenote: OMG! @Coolbreese is Orgo? I so miss playing with you. To bad your in the opposite timezone. I know Orgo and Wiz are in Fighting 838 (a great bunch of guys).
You want to know why SF was so successful, it had a great group of ppl working together - Orgo, Power Mad, Dycedarg, Kiana Marie, Taker, Frostyblue, Doctor Hunter W, Captain Scotland, Girlbot, Katy Kick Sass, Solar Fire Sr., SOLAR, DeeDee, Skye Swift (the person who allowed me to join SF), Sin Screamer, Steam Punch, Frikin NATOR, Inoshita, Toxic Striker, Lord Stryker and so many more! -
1. (United Global Alliance) When i first came in the game 3 yrs ago i teamed with Ziva, her husband, my bf William, Radiant Beret, and Mighty Anvil. My first alt was my Grav/Emp Deep Reach. We formed the sg United Global Alliance. Ziva was the founder. William and i left for the summer came back and found we had been kicked. Since we were gone the whole summer, i agree with Ziva's decision.
2. (Strike-Force) I created my 2nd alt Felecia Divine (Dark Defender). I went to city hall to see who the top sg's were. Strike-Force was on the top by a huge margin and all of it's 10 divisions were near the top as well. So i stood in Atlas Park waiting for a member to show up and after a few minutes i was accepting into Power Mad's division. Lord Striker ran really excellent teams and got people to work together in large numbers, SF accomplished more than any sg i have ever seen. I found Striker to be a great guy but with a few flaws. He seemed narrow minded, but thats because he had specific goals in mind which i believe he accomplished! After 4 months i wanted to explore more of the game and felt SF was limiting me. SF had so many fantastic people in it, LS surrounded himself with great people so how could he not succeed?
3. (ALL-OUT-WAR) William and i formed AOW along with Mr. Magnifascent, Chillin Demon, Pyreklism, Bazooka Toothe (Burn Junkie), Rich Boy (Dave Mebs), and Megastar. William and i left SF to form a open community sg that allows farming, base raids, pvp, badge-hunting, and anything else the game has to offer.
4. I am still in AOW but should mention i helped out or currently is helping in other sg's as well such as:
- Deadly Alliance (2nd in command)
- Hammers of Justice
- High Society Order
- Grey Coven
- Rented Portals(2nd in command - still active)
- Crafters (still active)
- Vampires (on Justice Server - still active)
- Department of Defence (on Freedom - still active)
- Templars of Steel Slayers (was briefly 2nd in command)
- Team Terror Squad (still active)
As for redside, i dont play villz much so i am only a member of DOMINATION (AOW vg) -
To those reading this, i mentioned in the middle of my Origional Post about garbage messages. All of the messages after the OP are superflous. Force found part of one sentence and decided to harp on it, typical Forumite behaviour. And now all the usual anti-felecia pundits are now waying in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ignore everything after the OP since none of it will be helpful! Use your own common sense and come meet new people and have fun!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I mentioned the farming deliberately so new people will realize that vets who have been here a long time and have multiple 50's will be getting the shards they need for alphaslot and that is the reason why they don't see a lot of people in the lower zones. That is being informative, not insulting.
The forumites should instead of tearing apart everything i say, should instead add something helpful and informative. I could tear apart everything you guys say as well....
Force could have said.....
Felecia is not exactly right, here are several other great events to go to
1. TF Tuesday
2. Whatever
3. Whatnot
Come out and enjoy all the other events available.
AND yes AMILY's post is better than mine. -
I mean all the events you mentioned are for level 35+ and THIS event is for new players and new characters pre-level 35! So we are helping people who are not able to get in your events up to that level.
Before you say anyone can join your events, it's not true, you guys do not take pre-level 35 on your teams, makes no sense to take them on your teams anyways since they can't contribute much or get rewards.
This is just an alternative event to the many that the rest of you guys already are involved in. -
This has been done before but there are so many new people coming into the game......
Many of the vets are busy farming for shards to make thier alphaslot enhancements so ALL-OUT-WAR is taking the time to help out the new players. With Going Rogue available we wish to make good use of it............
We are asking players to make a master villian that they wish they could play longterm or a villian based on thier main hero (thier praetorian counterpart). Enter Praetoria and click the Loyalist option.
We are meeting Jan. 3rd Monday Night at 8 pm est. and will run for 4 hours. We will help anyone who wants to join, so there will be multiple teams.
The following are already on the team and available to help with new teams.....
- Stardom Dreams (Martial Arts/Will Power) Stalker
- T-6900 (Robot/Traps) Master Mind
- Psychic Renegade (Mind/Psionic) Dominator
- Titanium Mercenary (Energy/Pain) Corrupter
- Mr. Mags (Super Strength/Fire) Brute
These people preplanned these characters to round out a team to make it run smoother. This idea, believe it or not, was put together by Mr. Magnifascent, and we agree it is a good one. This idea is to teach new players how much fun a static team can be. A static team as i understand it is a team of ppl who run level 1-50 together. Theme and a good mix of characters is always beneficial to everyones enjoyment.
Now, before the old forumites start posting garbage messages, This idea is to help new players enjoy the new content and older players can too.
This is not a cheap ploy to get new members, we already have many AND since we are in praetoria you cannot join an sg or vg anyways! (until level 20)
So come out, talk to the others about forming a well rounded team, make your soon to be fav character, and let's enjoy praetoria as well as each others company -
Removed Cello joke, thanks Amily, and i did not know what Cielo meant, Thanks for posting it!

Nice thread and i love the stories. Great to hear how some of you met.
7 years ago i was sitting at Graham's Fish and Chip (now called Jazz's) at Avondale Plaza in Brampton. People from the racetrack gather there regularly. I was sitting, talking to the owner when a tall, dark stranger (6' 1" dark haired, blue-eyed) walked in and sat at the opposite table and ordered a coffee, halibut, and poutine.
When Graham went to make the order i looked at the guy and he leaned over and asked the most dangerous of questions "Can i ask you a question?". I quickly looked him in the eye and said "Yes". "Are you a Northerner?", he asked. I was not expecting this (my curiosity was up and you know what that does to a cat). I was raised in Perry Sound so i said "Yes, how can you tell?". I heard you say, "It went over like a lead balloon" which is not a city expression. He had overheard my conversation with Graham when he came in (observant? curiosity alarm).
Well, we continued to talk for awhile and he asked me to see our first movie which was the first Lord of the Rings movie. After we saw Lord of the Rings we went back to his house to watch the first Pirates of the Caribean movie, or i think that was the movie, or might have been X-Men? It was just background noise as far as i am concerned, we were having way to much fun to care what was on
Turns out William had just broken up with one of my old schoolmates and was raised in Kirkland Lake which is far north (James Bay area which is not far from the north pole). He was an engineer and forest ranger. He loves animals and my family raises thoroughbred racehorses so i introduced him to Woodbine RaceTrack.
This is 7 years later, we are still together, we are both owned by a black halloween cat (Basement Cat for those who know icanhascheezburger.com) named Lady Bowie.
FYI: age does not really matter to most of us. William is 8 years younger than i am. -
I am doing new alts so i have released the following names:
Ginsu Kitty
Swaztikat
Abigail The Wife
Cait Sith (yes this is from final fantasy)
Frosty Knickers -
This is a fun theme, origionally i heard of it as "Gods Of War" by Orgo of Fighting 838 who ran it a few years ago.
Capt.Scotland formed a GoW team for AOW last year, all Assault and Archery powers only, it was literally a blast, i was Gunmetal Queen (Assault/Device Blaster).
2 weeks ago AOW formed it's XXX Static Team, all Dual Pistol heroes/heroines only.
I am sure many have run it over the years but i recommend people try it, your team can steamroller opponents with sheer firepower. It is lots of fun since you can run through missions quickly if you stick together and cover each other.
Since i have done this theme a few times i wont be joining it, but good luck and Have Fun That Is An Order
Good Luck Steel Dominator!
PS: This is one of those teams that doesnt need heal support. Missions you normally might not like such as CoT caves in KR scanner runs and Crotoa caves against Tuatha are much easier with this team, i loved FrostFire as well -
Glad your happy, hope you have fun, HAPPY HAPPY B-DAY!
-
Thank you Mighty for letting us know, glad to see your still around!
I have enjoyed many of these movies and i am sure a giant such as Don will be missed!
Army of Darkness is considered a cult classic much like Little Shop of Horrors and Blade Runner.
Battle of the Bulge, Serpico, King Kong, and Three Days Of The Condor are great classics.
I have enjoyed many of his 70's, 80's, and all of his 2000+ movies. I am sure everyone will find on your list a lot of thier favorites too.
I also loved the Conan series. -
ALIEN-NATOR
Spine/Regen Scrapper
Elongated Alien Skull (helmet), Bio-Organic (body), reptile tail, and bone wings.
If you already haven't done this one? -
As long as we are on the topic of Costumes and Power Customization shall we also use this thread for the topic of Costume Contests? This is the Halloween season followed by X-mas, so.....
Here are a few of my past remarks:
- You want to stand out, use colors and costume pieces that others are not using.
- Make 3-4 costumes to switch between. When you get to the cc you can see what others are wearing and change to something different. If 8 robots appear, maybe one of them will get picked, so you want a backup costume.
- Look at what CC winners are wearing, this will give you an idea of what works!
- Osiris-Ka of UHB wins a lot of costumes, see what he is wearing!
- Being a judge is easy sometimes, i stand back and see what stands out from the rest, then i move in to see details.
Once in awhile you get a surprise when you get closer, someone may have what appears simple, but is not. An example is MIME, a hero who looked like a genuine mime surrounded by gaudy heroes and he worked his charcter with e-motes that fit the character and was very impressive. That little extra effort and thought made all the judges realize as well the audience that this hero deserved the win!
Any other advice and observations would be welcome -
I better make that 5 ppl then because i thought you lived in Ottawa? Ottawa is about a 3 hour drive from Toronto.
But i guess if i start walking now i might make it to your place by nightfall (old joke, its a canadian thing, like "TIMMIES!")
Ok Dinah, you can explain Timmies if you want to so the Bart Simpson raised Americans can understand the joke (Hint...There is one on EVERY CORNER!)
