  1. My favorite way I have seen these things handled is on console games. Where you redo the entire game with the tricked out character, and with harder enemies, better rewards (even more shineys!). Can you imagine starting your pimped and purpled 50 at level "1" and getting level 50 drops immediately from all mobs? I would solo the entire game twice on that character, once redside, once blue, collecting every badge as I went. Not sure exactly how it would be handled. The Ouro thing is nice, but does not address the situation fully. An "Ouro" server would be sweet, where you enter it at level 50/1, with all your 50 bonuses but at level 1. You never have to level up, but you act as if exemplared, except you have all set bonuses as if 50. you "earn' your way back to 50, turning off exp if you want to not outlevel content. When you leave the Ouro server you go back to the "real" world as a 50. Then, when you cross back into Ouro you pick up where you left off, living two lives as it were.
  2. I am posting my build for my main character. This is my workhorse for task forces, helping folks, etc. I am very happy with the build. I only want 3 more things for it. 1) Blaster powers 2) No End Issues 3) immunity from incarnate patches of death. It would appear all 3 of those things must wait until at least issue 23 or later. What I have is a full set of Scrapper ATOs that should go onto this. The question, where? Should I split them 3/3 and purp half? Or should I slot all 6 in one power. And what power(s) do I do that with. I have some ideas, of course, but thought I would ask and see if anyone has insight. Thanks.

  3. I've got mine slotted in Mind's ST hold. I am not perma'd yet (39) but at most i see 2 icons indicating stacking. i thought I read it could stack up to 3 times. I need to open a +dam monitor window for more exactness I know. I think my main problem is that I do not use Mind's tier 1, and the tier 2 is less convenient for me to spam. It is not super fast animation or recharge, so feels clunky.

2 questions. 1) How often can this thing stack in theory and in practice how often have people been stacking it. 2) What is the most efficient power people have found to put it in?
  4. I saw something in the help section that says this Proc does not fire. I was about (well, in about a week) to slot this into a build I am currently leveling. I have the set in my base, but was unaware there were any problems with it.

Absolute Amazement: This enhancement gives a 33% chance to reduce your targets' To Hit value greatly.

    This does not fire?
  6. "There's a Hellion in City Hall" in broadcast after I zoned in from Ouro after an ITF. I had to check it out. I flew over and sure enough, right inside the door was a fallen gunner, standing off to the side. He wasn't moving, but was facing the door and sure looked like he wanted to go somewhere. He was ignoring me (39 Dom) and the person that noted it in broadcast (a higher level as well) but within a minute a 3rd level Mastermind walked in the door (Captain Red Neck I think, may be misremembering) The Fallen Gunner saw his chance and opened up. A grand little battle played itself out in the lobby, people running after each other back and forth, shooting. (Where is the dignity, really?) Soon, the Hellion fell.

I post in broadcast the copy/paste "Captain Red Neck has defeated Fallen Gunner."
Cap posted back "He jumped me!"

Why can't we all just get along?
  7. Definitely. Heroes should be given "gold stars". These should be worthless, except to count. But a true hero does not want pay and should not flaunt their stars.

Villains should be paid in "children's tears", redeemable/tradeable on the "Sinister Exchange" for all manner of wealth/goodies/weapons to use against heroes.
  8. not only that juicy recharge, but a 3.13% Ranged Defense bonus. My two build goals in 1 set? FTW. plus, its not a bad soft control just slotted with accuracy. I'd prefer terrify over sleep most of the time. Cause unless you really want sleep it's useless. Terrify works (on/off) even after you hit the mob a few times.
  9. I use Elec armor on my main scrapper. An elec/elec. I run 3 leadership toggles, plus fighting toggles, and I do need that constant infusion of End. I have also been known to physically hug a Kin at the door to a mission. awkward, but I cannot seem to stop myself.

The problem is that running tips or TF you get a reward that everyone on the team can get, but you only get that on regular contact missions if you just so happen to be on the same step of the same mission thread, which is rare.
Granted I am running on Virtue, and before that Freedom. So more peeps. Before that I was on Liberty, and developed a huge SG there. I moved to populated servers for a reason. Not sure what Pinnacle is like.

But your second paragraph (while completely true) is inaccurate in it's conclusion (that peeps won't join someone else's arc) based on my experience. I have seen lots and lots of mission teams where we pile thru someone else's arc. I jumped into a AV hunt arc with my 29 Dom this morning and got 11 exp bars in 30 minutes before I had to go. 2 missions. Peeps were circulating through the team the entire time I was there, and i was recruited to replace another person that left. A guy on Virtue runs 50 radio mish teams all the time, seriously, all the time. Open to anyone, any level, he advertises on help.
  11. I will 50 a character. Either one on the very back burner, or a new concept. Or I will jump on a few of my 35+ that are stalled and creep them up. Depends on my mood/inspiration that week.

    LFG Broken?

    Permadom

Shocked as heck that the ATOs are on the Wentworth's market!!! I am able to squeeze on a full 6 set, shifting aThunderstike to replace Executioners contract in Snipe. The whole build is better (of course!) and i gain a little ranged defense and total out global recharge at 108.75% + Hasten. I should not bobble off Perma at this point. Good times. Now to play test.

    LFG Broken?

The Devs did the equivalent of bringing a boat and giving it to people in a village in the Sahara desert. Sure, the boat is not "broken". We flipped the sucker over and used it for protection from the sun and a meeting place. Is it working the way the Devs designed it? NO. Did they even look at what we might do with it? It sure does not look like it.

The Devs designed a tool that if no one (or few people) formed pre-set leagues and started a Trial would work okay. But we have been conditioned since the game began to pre-form teams for all content, missions, task forces, monster killing, etc. That is how we always roll. The fact that they seemed shocked that we would pre-form leagues and teams to do the hardest content in the game actually flummoxes me. Sometimes I wonder if they ever play video games, much less this video game.

But in the end this tool has never worked the way it was designed since it was designed for a community conditioned to never form teams of friends, channel mates, and peeps hanging near them. It was designed for peeps raised in Praetoria I think. Walk to the machine, press button, accept outcome.
  17. For me Terrify is the perfect "mule" power. It takes a 6 set Cloud senses which grants a very good recharge bonus and a very good ranged defense bonus. Since these are the two goals of my build it's an "I win" set. The bonus is, of course, it is a ranged area attack that can work to both do a little damage and possibly delay the hordes of minions that are way below my comfortable range. I want my mobs at 60-80, and depending on which Alpha I take possibly 80-100. This gives me a nice tool for soft control inside 60 panic, while working towards the overall build.

    LFG Broken?

No. The LFG is not broken. For something to be broken it had to be working in the first place. You can call a rock a car. That does not mean it will drive. Also, because it does not drive does not mean it is broken. The LFG never worked, therefore it is not broken.
  19. A good farm is the most time efficient way to get what you want. I have seen/heard of farming for EVERYTHING. Experience, Influence, Prestige, architect tickets, Purple Recipes, Healing Badges, certain monsters for those badges. It is literally endless what people will farm, based on what they feel their character needs. I even know someone who "farmed" the weekly task forces by constantly forming them so she finally got a badge for helping others complete a certain number. If it exists in game, there is a good chance someone is farming it.
  20. If you put in two sets of 6, one with Catalysts, are the global damage procs 2 different ones, or are they the same one fired by either set?
  21. So if I slot Cloud Senses (look at the set bonuses to see why!) into Terrify will the chance for Negative damage proc fire? I'm going to do it anyways, just wondering if anybody knew.
  22. Thx Doc. That clears a lot of the cobwebs away. Easy decision on my part for my firstset. It fits perfectly into my build as an Orange. Since the whole build is an experiment anyways I want everything strippable.
  23. So, I log into Wentworths last night to pick up a couple 28 SOs on the fly between task forces. I almost fell off my chair. THe sets I thought I would never buy (I plan on buying few/no packs.) were for sell on the market. I bought a full set of 6 for my new Dominator project. I think I can replace a set of THunderstrike I have in the ST Hold and be much better off.

My question is about whether they conflict with purple sets. I have seen oposts that say they do, but the bonuses are not purple set bonuses. I also wonder because I have heard off ATO and ATIO. And somewhere I saw a post that seemed to indicate there were two different sets.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Archetype sets

I was not gonna buy them, so I have done squat research. You could have collected me off the floor when I saw them at WentWorths!

So, i bought a set of 6 tuned Dominator ATO for my new project. THe Dominator I have planned has 5 sets of Purples on him. So, will the ATO conflict with this? Or it conficts only if I catalyze them? Or...okay I'm lost. Can i buy a vowel?
