I have 6 alts to go before I have a 50 of each AT. I'll be there when the lights go out.
-
I'd take your stuff because I'm trying to get a 50 of each AT before the lights go out, and I still have 6 to go (including one of each Veat and Heat).
I got all excited thinking maybe the doubleXP was perma for the duration, and didn't play last weekend as much as I should've...
Besides, the bling is already starting to get EXPENSIVE!!! -
Awesome of you, Llydia! I would love a +recharge if you still have plenty of merits @mons
Thanks, and have fun too! -
Rottenest B-day present I've ever gotten from NCsoft today. Screw them in their nether-regions...
Great Devs, great community, fantastic game. My first and only MMO.

It's rare (and happy!) that I realize that there are people older than I playing this game.
It is also rare the a true hero passes, regardless of nationality/affiliations.
RIP -
Don't have a 50 yet, but I would run w/ something like this:

Em, if you are paying to play, and thus a VIP, go to the University in Steel Canyon and speak to the contact there (Dean?). He will send you through a crafting tutorial that may explain a few things.

Quote:roflPOOP1. Peacebringers need to be fixed by having all their powers replaced with their Warshade counterparts.
2. Tankers need to be fixed by removing them from Johnny_Butane's character creator.
3. PvP needs to be fixed by allocating a server to PvP that is never patched again, ever.
4. The solo incarnate path needs to be fixed by adding a hallucinogenic cut scene at the end of every story arc that causes the player to be put into a fugue state whereupon they forget having played it.
5. The gender imbalances in the costume system need to be fixed by declaring that all Primal Earth humans are actually asexual and reproduce by fission.
6. The Architect needs to be fixed by allowing AE missions to grant any rewards desired, as long as they come from the mission author.
7. The Shadow Shard needs to be fixed by thermonuclear weapons.
8. The LFG queue needs to be fixed by not allowing people to quit out of it. If the player doesn't accept the trial the game server zones the player into the trial anyway and their character becomes a mastermind pet of the league leader. During the trial the player cannot log in any other characters until it completes.
9. Death From Below needs to be fixed by making it the tutorial.
10. And then there's the forums.
uh-oh!
I'd pay real cash-money for #8... -
Uh-huh, uh-huh uh-huh, Oo-oo!
Sorry, no experience with Staff here, but love your forum name!
Mid's has some brief info on the actual benefits of the different forms, and Guarded Spin could provide about 18% defense to Melee and Lethal which might argue for a Resistance based set (or Willpower). You could then shore up defenses through set bonuses.
Apparently a little low on ST damage, but above-average AoE damage. I think I would try for a sort of super-utility toon, but it might just boil down to your concept.
Good luck, and Death to the Pixies! -
Lost a bit of +recharge here, but if you need to scab a slot or 2 from combat jumping to get your Force Feedback proc back in, you could do it. Should be fine in the Acc department esp. with double rage.
Sacrificed a bit of regen, as well, but defenses are insane, esp. with Invinc pumped up to 10 targets.
One of the main differences is going for Agility Alpha, rather than Spiritual: it helps in 3 cats, rather than 1.
Gained you a hair of +res, for what its worth...
This is what I would run with, but ymmv.
Cheers!

Halve the -Rech, -Dam, and -Runspd in Granite.
Halve the -Runspd in Rooted.
Fixt.
Is powerful enuff, even with SOs. Reduce the 'costs', and is still a penalty for use.
Personally don't mind looking like a Dev Earth peon....
Can you tell I'm so frustrated, I'd be happy with ANYTHING? Toon worthless in most Incarnate content b/c of Big Circles of Death.
Can I trademark that? 'BCoD'? -
So long as they are difficult to get and time-locked:
/signed! -
what happens if you add Bruising to all Tanker secondary attacks (minus auras)?
-
Hello, and Welcome!
EM gets a bad rap because of slow animations and a dearth of AoE attacks. If you like it, play it!
Made some changes based on overslotting, and trying to get you as much +defense bonus as possible. Also swapped out energy punch for darkest night. Use it, and you'll see why: if you can delay your 'SMASH' for a few seconds in order to drop it on a boss, you can floor the whole group's ability to hit you (esp. with decent defense).
I hope the build below will give you some ideas, anyway....
http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...3CFF021F34D72A -
Nightfire 9
All of those slots in the armors are wasted and are better served reducing end elsewhere. Changed a few other slots, but as few as possible in order just to get you some end. The change to TTLeadership is just for a few more points of def (+ the occasional free build-up).
This has you gaining about 1.6 end/sec.
Play with this a bit and see what you think. After playing for awhile, your Alpha should suggest itself to you, but I would personally go with Agility Core for the +Rech, +EndMod, and +Def.

Keeping in mind some of your wishes...
This has a total of 7 attacks, the psionic damage dealers being psychic scream, dominate, and psychic wail. Open with the 2 cones from range, close in and start cycling melee. With Mind Link at perma, and hasten fairly close, you can pretty much run spin out every 5 seconds with each of your other 3 melee in-between. Follow-up will be stacked for about 3 seconds per chain, if you do it right.
I chose dominate because its nice to have a hold, plus it does great damage with a decent hold duration and has a quick activation time. You could easily put a decimate set in it instead, and do great damage with a 16 second hold (plus nearly make hasten perma with some Incarnate recharge (in fact, this is probably a better idea considering its 3 second recharge ).
The defense is a bit overdone, but you will appreciate it in those few incarnate trials where no one else is giving you much. Note that this build does NOT include any accolades or incarnate powers.
Working for Spring Attack won't gimp you, but its not very....efficient(?) Plus the recharge on it is awful: you won't find yourself using it much. I'd like to sub Lunge in for Psychic Scream, but not sure if it would be a good idea...
The other upside of this build is that it will be relatively cheap.

Wow. That's going to change they way I've been building by a bit...
-
Regarding 'set mules':
Don't you have to theoretically use a click power every 2 minutes to get the set benefits from it (aside from globals)? That was my previous understanding... -
Invuln for secondary. I haven't really seen a high level TW in action yet, so was wondering if I could get away with skipping 1 or 2? I've found that if I have more than 5 attacks with other sets that some sit outside my chain doing nothing.
-
Would it be a waste to throw this one into a damage aura?
