With invuln you want to softcap yourself to various types, so defensive sweep's positional bonus becomes pretty redundant sooner or later. Ironically, the sets it takes make it useful as a mule for typed defense bonuses even if you never use the power. The only other skippable attack in my opinion is crushing blow, which I wouldn't skip because it's one of the three single target attacks you ever get. I've heard others talk about skipping titan sweep: not something I would do but if it were between that, whirling smash and arc of destruction, well, that's a no-brainer.
Since this is in the Tanker forums I assume he can't skip Def Sweep.
So yeah, CB or Titan but those two are great for leveling especially since you get the best ones later as a Tanker.
Crushing Blow is skippable - not useless, but also not strictly necessary. If you must skip a second attack, you can do without Titan Sweep, although you'll probably feel that loss much more than CB.
Woop, my brain fell out apparently. Since you cannot skip defensive sweep, my vote is to take the other attacks and just leave DS as a set mule. Three pieces of eradication is 3.125% e/n defense, a fourth piece adds 2.25% HP. You can even put a lotg global in there. Those slotting opportunities would honestly be worth taking and not using the power for even if it weren't mandatory that you do so.
Defensive Sweep does 10s -20% res on tankers (ST, like other T1s), I wouldn't use it as a mule.
I'm on a freaking roll of forgetting any facts I once knew about tankers in this thread. Next, marvel as I tell the OP to slot his aoe immobilize well so he can take advantage of containment.
Anyway! Titan sweep is surely more skippable than crushing blow if you are taking and using defensive sweep anyway, and the up side is that using defensive sweep will virtually singlehandedly alleviate the endurance problems you might have had with titan sweep instead.
Regarding 'set mules':
Don't you have to theoretically use a click power every 2 minutes to get the set benefits from it (aside from globals)? That was my previous understanding...
Not for set bonuses, no. Only for certain procs with a 2-minute duration, like the Miracle or Kismet procs.

11 months of all-nighters, messy feeding sessions, bath fighting and realizing just how good my son's lungs work, and I am still convinced he is the crowning accomplishment in my life. What in the blue HFIL is wrong with me?
Invuln for secondary. I haven't really seen a high level TW in action yet, so was wondering if I could get away with skipping 1 or 2? I've found that if I have more than 5 attacks with other sets that some sit outside my chain doing nothing.
