Yes, it should. Unless they are willing to commit the time and energy to examine each case on an individual basis to determine intent, it should be assumed that each case is a mistake and that no action should be taken. The only players that they can say absolutely did knowingly break the rules are the ones that actually made the exploitable arcs, in some cases even after those arcs were deleted previously. Those people have no excuse and action should be taken. All other cases should be treated as misunderstandings for the sole purpose of good customer relations on the off chance that even one of those people was a new player who didn't know better. That's just good business. In the long run they lose nothing by letting it slide. Taking a hardline approach could cost them a great deal.

Here's part of the problem when discussing exploits and banning the users of said exploits. Players new to the game don't know whan the "normal" XP rates are. A player that just bought the game isn't going to have any idea of how fast the game is going to allow them to level. All they know is that they got through the tutorial (which is also not an accurate indicator of level advancement), entered Atlas and responded to a broadcast for an AE team. This is especially true of a player that is picking up CoX as their first MMO. They did what they would have been expected to do as a new player and nothing else. Deleting that players characters or banning the player is a sure fire way to lose that account, so why would the Devs do such a thing? It's one thing to do that to a player that should know better, but something else entirely to do it to a new player that is far more likely to just uninstall because of it.

That was exactly the problem I had with it. The whole movie had the stink of PC hanging around it. I tried watching it with my daughter (who thought it was "ok", not her favorite), but just could not like it.

This has been true in my case. I've been only ever gotten one actual invite, but have been able to log into the last 3 CBs. I disabled the emails when I briefly cancled my account the first time.

That's been my concern since the begining. Nothing about Ryan Reynolds says Hal Jordan to me, and Blake Lively is crap. From what I can see, Mark Strong is the only casting they got right.
  7. I want to like this reboot, but the more I hear about it, the more disinterested I get. I do not like Andrew Garfield as Peter and unless they make the movie more about May and Ben (which it should not be) it just seems to me that all the best talent is being wasted in peripheral characters.
  8. Ok, so is this a version of Fables for the small screen or is this just a blatant rip off of the comic?

I love the comic and I believer the concept could carry over to tv, but I have no interest in watching a plagiarized idea.
  9. The OP is talking about damage, not Elusivity. Forts got their damage lowered in PvP a while back along with the reduction in Elusivity. Unfortunately, Psi Defenders can now do more damage than Fortunatas do in PvP.

My advice is to switch to a Night Widow build, which is significantly more effective and is very good for unhiding Stalkers if you have max perception.

Film production is dirt cheap in N.O. right now, so it's entirely possible they are there for budget reasons and not for specific locations. Considering how much of the first two movies were shot at night with no way to distinguish what the general surroundings were like anyway, I would guess that's the reason.
  12. I really like the idea of Talia being the villain. It would tie in nicely with the first movie as an endcap to the trilogy.
  13. Ok I nerdgasmed when I saw Moonknight. That is freaking awesome.
  14. There were several times during the movie that both my wife and I wanted the projectionist to rewind a scene and watch it again because the scenes were just that freaking awesome.

Apparently they stopped trying long ago. Why do they even let Nick Cage keep making movies?
  16. I watched last nights episode with my wife who has no real interest in anything superhero related (her only real character flaw, but one I have learned to live with). Even she was wondering why the wife didn't just superspeed through the room taking all the guns away from the robbers in the first robbery. Apparently she is fast enough to have done so without risking anybodies safety or her identity, so it didn't make much sense why she didn't do so. Also, I really hate how they portray the daughters mind reading. It just looks like people mugging for the camera and it detracts from the story.

Other than that, it was ok. Not great, but I'll keep watching to see how things develop.

Innocent by who's definition. They only harm people that break the laws of their nations. They only punish criminals. They believe with absolute certainty that they are right. They are Superheroes by virtually every definition, yet are generally considered to be villains. Do you really believe you would be different simply because your moral compass points in a slightly different direction? And I do mean slightly different. There can be a fine line between hero and tyrant, and it can rarely be seen by the person being judged.

It is your absolute belief in your "rightness" that concerns me more than anything. Your innability to even conceive that you might commit acts that others find horrible or wrong only increases the probability that such acts would occur. Much like religious zealots who commit acts of unspeakable evil in the name of their faith, yet truly belive they serve a higher cause.

Magneto and Dr. Doom are two names that come to mind as people who absolutely believe they are protecting those under their care.

Your absolute certainty in the matter frankly would scare the crap out of me.

Harry Potter made the list but throughout the course of the books, Harry Potter is bloody thick. Come to think of it I can't think of anytime where he shows any real intelligence. Don't mean to be a downer but it's hard to vote when I find myself questioning the participants.

With characters like Hulk and Rocky Balboa on the list, it's pretty clear that intelligence isn't the primary consideration for inclusion. I'm honestly not sure what kind of measuring stick they are using as the whole thing seems rather random.

It might make more sense if it was more clear, but not being a member of Mensa I guess I'm not smart enough to figure it out
  20. There are some really odd inclusions there. I mean, Charlotte's Web? Really?

For that matter, who decided the seeding of this tournament? Jane Eyre seeded higher than Hercules? A bunch of geniuses worked this out, heh?

I agree, the Scrappers on Freedom are in fact horrible. Hence, my point.

And since I can regenerate all but the biggest crits in a matter of seconds AND heal anything else before they can get close enough to land another hit, yeah their damage is horrible. That's why range is always better than melee. I can heal and continue attacking while the terribad Scrapper is still trying to get close enough to hit me and failing.

stalks have the ability to spike (and after AS, do it from range). scraps can do a consistant amount of damage that is pretty easy to deal and setup, Shark jaws/char > EC/headsplitter > spirit shark/fireblast. factor in that kind of damage with the ability to not ever die in arena and zone makes them far from bad.
They are just as bad in arena 1 v 1. As I said, I have never lost to less than 3 Scrappers and that includes arena. I had a Scrapper challenge me to arena who thought he was clever by choosing the monkey cage. After I killed him twice in the first two minutes he realized he was the one stuck in there with me and ragequit. I do the same thing to regens in zones almost nightly, and that's without taking any debuffs from my secondary. Imagine what a good Cold or Thermal will do. I'm really not sure where you get the idea that Scrappers are worth anything, but you have been sadly misinformed. Just being able to stay alive longer than most in a zone means nothing if you can't get a kill.
