Quote:I dunno, doesn't Scirocco's arc kind of involve you stopping him from basically making every villain in the world good? And giving GW her body back? I don't think you could just work with him on that and then play it off as actually happening. Scirocco would have to be stopped somehow. >.>I'd love to see the Patron Arcs redone with the choice on whether you betray them or not using the GR tech. I've always hated the way you're railroaded into doing so. GWs in particular. It's not like she's going to be a threat to me personally, the only reason for betraying her is cos she's trapped the spirit of someone LR has a hard-on for and some Arbiter threatens you. All the chars I've taken through the arc would've stayed loyal to her and told Arbiter what's-his-face where to stick it given a chance.

I'll never make a dual pistols character with these animations, purely because of how crazy they are. I want to make someone who fires a couple guns, not someone who took up a form of martial arts only to make his firing ability look fancy.
However, I don't want the animations replaced. I love variety. I would just like alternate animation choices for those of us who don't want to do crazy flips and show off maneuvers just to make firing a couple pistols look pleasing to the eye. -
I dunno, I'm not really diggin' this idea, to be honest.

That's...nice, I guess? Went into quite a bit of detail there. Don't know why, but it's nice you're showing enthusiasm.
But Posi still said the old arcs happened and should be treated as such, soo, don't know if that addressed your point or not. -
Quote:Actually, I think Posi stated that parts of the old Prae arcs did happen, and that the new updated ones are sort of another stab at invading or something, I guess. But GR isn't pre-any issue.I didn't see any evidence of any carnies besides Vanessa herself.
That said, the chronology of the story is odd: it follows your character's level, not the time the feature was released. So while the mission where you rescue the Carnival of Light from the Praetorians was released a long time ago (issue 2? 3?) the events of Going Rogue occur beforehand. This Vanessa between levels 20 and 40 (45?) to make the duplicate masks that allow her to spread her power around and thus create her Carnival of Light. -
I want to see all of the TFs eventually get redone someday. For the most part, they're all pretty lackluster. But the one I despise the most?
Manticore's.
You spend a ton of missions fighting nothing but Crey, just completely wiping them out in various areas. You're doing a huge amount of damage to Crey's workforce, trying valiantly to put them out of business. You finally make it to the end, and you're geared up and ready to fight the leader of the organization and put her sorry *** behind bars and...
...there's a bald guy in a black suit with fluorescent skin named "Hopkins" who's going to fight you instead? In a dusty old warehouse? That's it? That's the big finish, after spending so long fighting Paragon Protector after Paragon Protector? A friggin' bald guy in a suit?
Most disappointing TF I've ever run. -
Ya know, I saw a picture of Praetorian Hamidon on one of the various billboards throughout Imperial City, and although it was just a silhouette, he kinda reminded me of this.

There's a topic on the Virtue boards that has a large listing of quite a few well known and nice SGs, most of which involve heavy RP. Could try hitting that up and seeing which one caters to your character best.

Quote:Smells like someone's full of themselves.Someone gets onto my account and deletes three thousand hours worth of characters, including ones from 2004 with badges you can't get anymore? That's bad. Yeah, you could require passwords for deletion.
Someone gets onto my account and mails off 3 billion worth of cash, 5 billion of "liquid" IO's, then strips another couple billion out of my characters? That's bad, too, and the passwords aren't going to stop it.
When you get a postcount as high as mine, you can assign homework. Your children's homework is this: practice waiting 30 seconds for something they want. -
Welcome to Virtue, yo. Hope you enjoy yourself, and be careful around Pocket D.

Praetorian Hami has more than likely evolved past being a giant amoeba and is a giant destructive creature. Right now all we know about it is it's got a beak of some sort and has tentacles. So at least that'll be cooler to fight, if we ever do.

I love Sharkhead for the Monkey Club.

Dragonball Z is awesome.
Just needed to be said to balance out all the hate. -
Quote:That's what he's getting at. Praetoria's done an incredibly good job with it's contacts, story arcs, missions, etc. They referenced this in point 1. The tech needs to make it's way to at least blueside first.Umm I think number 2 is already done. At least in Praetoria it is.
And on that note, I support a revamp of the old story arcs very much, but another huge gripe I've always had is we need better starting contacts for blueside. Imagine being a new player, rolling up your first character ever and taking in the scenery of Atlas Park. You get to see the awesome statue, you're right in front of City Hall, and you see so many superheroes all around you. You're just on a comic book high. Then you go meet your first contact and they are...a random citizen in drab looking clothing. Or just some random scientist. Even Azuria just looks plain.
The starting contacts need an extreme revamp to at least make them stand out and look like they're actually somebody in a superhero comic book world. The game severely goes downhill at this point, forcing you to work for so many random citizens that appear incredibly lackluster. It's just not as much fun as opposed to working with someone who's a superhero in their own right, or looks like an important scientist as opposed to the sickly ones we get stuck with.
I'm not saying every contact should be Superman or Batman, but right now they're just a bunch of poor-looking, sick citizens. -
You acquire tip missions through fighting random enemies that are level 20+. So just go out and street sweep for a bit, you'll get more tip missions soon enough.

Quote:Dude, with that logic, we'd only have two weapon sets ever. One for ranged, one for melee.Sorry, hate to rain on your parade. But nanotech would simply be an RP source of one's powers.
Heals.
Resistances.
Defenses.
Attacks.
Buffs.
The powersets as they are can already encompass these.
I approve of this particular power idea. It's unique and does, in fact, sound fun. -
Quote:I partially agree with this. Although it doesn't look that good to have a million pedestrians spawn on one specific spot, this game is severely lacking in terms of traffic and citizens. It barely resembles the population of a real, genuine city. It's more like a town than anything else.Hopefully they will also make sure that pedestrians don't spawn in such huge numbers in some places that they are forced to walk through each other constantly. And maybe they will update all pedestrians everywhere to do more interesting stuff. One can dream.

Hero all the way, yo. I could never go out of my way to kill someone, no matter what they did, for two reasons. One, I'd be just as bad as the criminal if I went around killing peeps, and two, it'd be too easy of an out for certain horrible people. The absolutely terrible people can go to prison and run into the booty bandit, becoming his play thing for years.
Also, yeah, I'd love to be an icon for others that don't have that hero to look up to. Sometimes that's all someone needs. Plus I'd be more prone to get my own cartoon if I were a hero as opposed to a vigilante XD -
What point is there to miss? All I've heard are complaints about how it takes too long to retoggle and a bunch of whining about how it takes 15 second to turn everything back on just because you decided to drop one item off at the market. Seriously, patience is a virtue. Not hard at all to turn some stuff back on, especially if it means people with low end machines are saved from the massive graphic attacks of some people that find it necessary to be a level 50 and still have every toggle on because, as I said earlier, Hami is right around that corner to surprise attack you, I guess.
Edit: And the point about having to run at base speed being such a pain. Seriously? Seriously? Are we that spoiled on superspeed, ninja run, sprint, etc., that running at base speed about 15 feet is such a huge chore that it might as well be miles? -
Sooo basically, the issue here is people are impatient and can't be bothered to press a few buttons after they get done with business. Awesome.
Seriously, why have all of those toggles on at a market? Is there any reason you've gotta have jacked up defense while shopping? I can understand keeping travel powers on, but all of those dark armor or storm or whatever powers are entirely unnecessary. Hamidon isn't gonna sneak up on your while you're bidding on that one regenerating flesh. -
I like the lame characters, because not everyone can be a winner, and she shows this.
