44% on Metacritic. 40% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not really screaming "I need to see this in the theaters." Looks more Redbox, Netflix.

This is very much a wait and see how he is used before the torches are brought out.

And I'm pretty sure he was the one who said that the game was basically Ghostbusters 3 in spirit so I can fully assume he sees no desire for it. Really, there's no need for another movie outside of people needing a paycheck and figuring this would be an easy way to get one. The longer it hangs around, the better odds it doesn't come out, or it ends up being bad. I know what camp I'm in.

Quote:Amazon has it for $5.00 as of yesterday.Best album:
The Sound of Sunshine by Michael Franti & Spearhead. Lots of contenders this year (Jamie Cullum, Joshua Radin, Bruno Mars, Cee Lo Green, etc.) but I keep coming back to this feel-good and positive album. It acknowledges that things aren't always great, but that they can get better. I mean, how can you listen to this and NOT be in a good mood? -
Quote:SPvtW was actually fun unlike Watchmen.I expected this to be another Watchmen or Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and that is about what it is.
They were trying to cram a graphic novel series into a movie. Of course they cut out a lot to fit it in. Yes, the actual relationship between the two main characters was lacking. I still thought it still was a fun as hell movie. It lacked in sales due to the size of the target audience. There are far worse romantic comedies out today that sell far better. Why? I have relatives that will see the latest romantic comedy to a default, but won't go near SPvtW unless it was put right in front of them and they were made to watch. There are the same people who have no problem seeing cesspool level stuff like "When in Rome" and saying it was cute. -
It's not like you have a melee attack chain to worry about. The issue is knocking things out of range for Sleet and Ice Storm.

The easiest remakes are sci-fi/horror movies from way back in the day that have now laughable effects for them, but there is enough of a story that an update would be justified. It would be a similar idea of remaking classic PC games like what happened with the Monkey Island series. War of the Worlds was a solid attempt at it considering the source material was rather lacking and that made a ton of money, near $400mil worldwide in terms of profit.

Easy A
Batman: Under the Red Hood

Elec is still kind of like Ice and Earth is terms of damage. Even if you buff it for all it's worth, it's still not much. Elec/kin is one of the better pairings, but I still think it's on the lower end of the upper rankings, 4th, or 5th.

Quote:Also got Kate Beckinsale pregnant and is currently dating Rachel McAdams.Yes. That's Michael Sheen, and there's nothing he can't do. Easily one of the best actors working today, probably one of the best of all time. You may recall him as Lucian in Underworld, or Tony Blair in, well, a lot of things, or David Frost in Frost/Nixon, or as Nero....

First place opening weekend with 43.6 mil/66 mil worldwide. Production cost likely means it will only make profit due to international sales and DVD/Blue-ray, but to be honest I think a lot of movies fall underneath that category.

The problem is the amount of time it takes to sap a mob, or an AV(if it can be done at all really), and the likeliness of any target attacking with a sliver of end. On paper end drain sounds awesome. In reality...

Quote:This. 49% on Rotten Tomatoes("looks great, feels cold") and 51% Metacritic. On the flip side, 83% audience review on RT and 9.0 user score on Metacritic. To me Tron was an ok movie that rode the coat tails of being on the leading edge of effects. There is very little coming from critics that make me think this version will be otherwise. My Netflix queue is around 200. I haven't seen a movie in a theater since Easy A. If you want me dropping coin for a movie, it's going to take The Fighter, or True Grit to do so. I didn't drop even matinee money to see Anne Hathaway run around naked. I don't see the need to do the same just to see Olivia in a super tight suit with pretty effects all around.Yeah, I have to admit my enthusiasm has been dampened after reading a couple of reviews on Tron Legacy. Apparently it falls down in the same way Superman returns did... Allegedly its interspersed with a tedious father & son story plot that doesn't exactly compliment the rest of an action film.

IIRC, him and Marvel disagreed on the handling of their movies. I think it was how the whole Avengers thing was forcing it's way into the Iron Man movies and he wanted it more his thing. There was no way for him to know what certain things he could, or couldn't plan for in terms of IM3 just because Avengers hasn't even been written yet.

Some of the clips I have watched have really bad music to them, so hopefully they can keep that stuff to a minimum.

I don't think /dark will be as overpowered as people are thinking it will be. I think it will be one of, if not the last set ported if it ever does because I have a gut feeling some sets may never get ported for whatever reason, ie Empathy will never truly be a red side powerset. I also think the devs make new sets that fill in the role of making a comparable set for certain ATs so they don't need to have the other set, ie I'm not sure tanks will ever get Regen, but they have WP so I think the point is mute. I'm curious to see if SR gets ported as well.
Another reason /dark may not get ported is that it's another hammer in the coffin of defenders. Elec did what I thought it would for defenders. Elec control solved the identity crisis of Elec blast and it pretty much makes me never want to roll a /elec defender ever again. My namesake is a Kin/elec that was my first 50. I got GR because of Elec control and the first character I rolled was an Elec/kin.
/dark's damage is credible, but that's mostly due to the two AoEs and it's still DoT heavy so it doesn't really feel powerful. It would be interesting to see how many D3s got made after a Dark/dark controller was an option. If controllers get /dark, defenders have unique sets with rolling nukes and /sonic. That's it. /rad and Earth are kind of tough to compare sets and /ice and Ice are opposites for damage in terms of relative damage for each AT. If you are going to play something with a rolling nuke though, my guess you would rather do it on an AT with actual firepower to make it worth something. Also note DP is deemed cool looking versus a top notch set.
Will it happen? Maybe. Will it be overpowered? Not really. Will I raise a toast in honor to the defender AT's slowly dying away uniqueness if it does? Yep.
