Fun Summer for Movies...

So I was poking around over at apple.com for new trailers, and I don't know if these are knew but I hadn't seen anyone link them here yet.

Green Lantern

And

TF3

Honestly I didn't even realize TF3 was going to be out this year. I know a lot of people didn't like the second one, but given that the writers strike messed up the script and all, I'm hoping the third one is better. Though to be honest I didn't think the second one was that bad.

Damn, I thought that was Team Fortress 3 (the movie, I swear! Please don't Mod me Mr 5)

Now I'm disappointed.

I'm not looking forward to either of those. Trans3 might fail badly due to the bad blood Trans2 garnered.

However, there are a ton of genre movies that I *am* anticipating:

March - The Adjustment Bureau, Battle: Los Angeles (wait for DVD: Sucker Punch, Paul, Rango)

April - Source Code, Fast Five (DVD: Hanna, Hop, Rio)

May - Thor, Pirates of the Caribbean 4 (DVD: Kung Fu Panda 2, Priest)

June - X-Men: First Class (DVD: Green Lantern, Super 8, Rise of the Apes)

July - Captain America, Cowboys & Aliens (DVD: Zookeeper, Harry Potter)

August - all DVD

September - Now

I'm looking forward to Fast Five a lot more than I really should.

To be fair, the nerd community that really gets worked up over stuff like that is pretty small, albeit vocal, so it'll probably do okay. The general audience doesn't care. Whether it's good is an entirely different issue.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

Funny I swore Captain America was coming out next year...

Cowboys and aliens sure.. Don't know what half those other movies are.

Not sure about PotC 4... Never saw 3, wanted my money\time back after seeing 2, and Bloom and Knightly aren't returning as far as I know... Seems like their just milking it too long to me...

this.

TF2 didn't make so much money because people saw it, thought it sucked, and spread the word around.

Those involved admit (and I think they do this just to appease the internet nerdrage crowd) it wasn't as good as it should of been because of the writers strike, but it still brought people back for multiple showings.

Including me.. I liked TF2, that's not to say it was perfect or didn't have faults, it had plenty, especially in regards to the dialog. However I still found it an entertaining movie and I'm still surprised at the amount of hate leveled at it..

As for the others.

Saw the trailers for some of the other movies since I hadn't seen them before.

Fast Five: I'm torn here, I feel like their just taking this series too far, but the last movie was fun.

World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles: The music in the trailer is freaking cool and the trailers look epic. This one should be fun. Looks kind of Like Independence Day meets District 9. Didn't hear of this before last night but I'm excited.

Cowboys and Aliens: I'd heard of this ,and was excited since it has Harrison Ford, I had no idea it was coming up soon and no idea it had Daniel Craig, bonus! The trailer looks sweet!

Adjustment Bureau: Looks like a great concept, Matt Damon is always good, Emily blunt is easy on the eyes, looks fun and suspensefull.

Source Code: Not sure about this one. Seems kind of like rewinding your movie over and over hoping for a different ending if you pause or hit fast forward at the right time. I'm not sure I get why going into this simulation of a guys last 8 minutes, would lead to being able to change things... Maybe it wasn't explained well in the preview...

And I still know nothing about X-men: First class. Is there a trailer for this yet? Or info some where?
