Yeah he did do the game, but how much arm twisting and money did it take? It has long been rumored that he has been the biggest reason for why Ghostbusters 3 hasn't happened. Ghostbusters 2 not doing too well didn't help either, of course.

well, if what Ivan said is true, that there haven't been any other serious attempts for a Ghostbusters 3, and there haven't been any other scripts... then those rumors don't really have a lot of weight...

That being said... since nobody really knows what the truth is about the previous attempts at a GB3 movie, Bill Murray may or have may not been the stopping point.

And I'm pretty sure he was the one who said that the game was basically Ghostbusters 3 in spirit so I can fully assume he sees no desire for it. Really, there's no need for another movie outside of people needing a paycheck and figuring this would be an easy way to get one. The longer it hangs around, the better odds it doesn't come out, or it ends up being bad. I know what camp I'm in.
