/Traps Can, not sure bout others...
Rad probably...
Thats all I got... -
I just want to know, is it possible to Soft-Cap a Corr's Ranged Defense? I've tried multiple sets on Mids and closest I've gotten is bout 38% but that seemed to be gimping Twilight Grasp's Accuracy.
So, what powersets would be the best candidates for this? Or, is 38% the closest your probably gonna get? -
(Oh noes a rant involving PvP, you've been warned)
Maybe it's just me, but why does it seem that the Stalker AT is the only AT that stealth actually means something?
I mean, my Illusion Controller, heck, any illusion controller has 2 powers with the pool power Invisibility stealth capabilities, but yet, only 1 will put you at the cap, and it seems just about everyone I come across sees through it.
Now, other ATs: Blasters, Scrappers, other Controllers, Defenders, Brutes, Corruptors, Etc., Etc., Etc., can all hit their stealth cap with Stealth/Stealth Power (I.E. Shadow Fall) and a Stealth IO, but yet on multiple toons of mine it seems none of that helps.
Sure, I get it, Stalkers purpose is to "Stalk" their foes, hence the invisibility, but that doesn't mean they should be the only ones capable of it. But that doesn't mean those Blasters and Corruptors should be allowed Stalker Level Stealth, but perhaps their Stealth Cap should be Raised, or Perception Cap Lowered. It's not like all those other ATs rely on it for Crits, only 2 ATs in the game get Crits (1 gets Scourge but thats a little different) and even the Stalker isn't guaranteed crits from hide.
Any stealth now to be is completely worthless to take (Exception: Stalker) and the Stealth pool in general to me is only for an extra Def boost from Stealth and Phase Shift.
I don't think it should have to be like that...
Any Thoughts? -
Hmm, I'm sure my blaster is quite capable of this but i wonder if I should use my Ill/Emp...
I should add the times are just dreadful for me...I shall hope to try to attend something next sat/sun..
...Now all I need is a partner... -

It seems like every time I fight in PvP, there's always a QR/EM that can stun the poo out of me and I can't hit them or debuff them at all. Once I was in RWZ with a Earth/Rad controller and I was there (a D3 defender). Despite all the massive amounts of debuffs, holds, immob, stun, and two pets, he handily beat us both. Exactly how is someone supposed to PvP against that?
Is it just that stalkers are the enemy type I'm completely unable to defeat? Could I possibly have better luck against another AT? Or are defenders and controllers completely useless in PvP now?
[/ QUOTE ]
...Huh? Theres a QR/EM Stalker?
Questionable Regeneration/Energy Manipulation?
Perhaps you meant SR, in which case the pri and sec are mixed up, so you really mean is EM/SR??? -

Howling Twilight is -500% regen, not -3000%. Also, the end drain on elec is not nearly good enough on its own to be much of a detriment to anything (chances are the mob's hps will be going down at least as fast as the end).
[/ QUOTE ]
When talking about dueling (the OP mentioned that was the plan and possibly AVs), it's -3000%; PvP numbers. But yes, in PvE it's only -500%.
I'd actually recommend (the FotM) Thermal if you're planning on sapping, though. Heat Exhaustion is crippling.
[/ QUOTE ]
I know Heat Exhaustion is very nice looking (-Regen -End -Recov -DMG) But I don't see how 1 power that debuffs overthrows a set with 5 debuffing powers (Twilight, Darkest, Tar, Howling, and Servant)
Perhaps you could explain to me better?
[/Wishing I hadnt Deleted my Mind/Thermal Troller so I could compare right bout now] -
Well, I'm in now, so no more waiting =D
-
I have 2 Doms right now, a Level 46 Ice/Psy and a Level 34 Grav/Thorns.
Before the change my Ice/Psy could pretty much lock down a mob and then rush in and Drain Psyche then PSW to death. It was ok, got a tad boring at times, but I loved the killing speed, yes I know PSW was broken. Now, slightly more end problems I pretty much rely on Drain Psyche to keep me going even though I have stam, I don't kill a whole mob as fast and I use Psy Scream much more. However, ST damage has gone way up. I feel psy users AoE damage switched with its ST damage a little.
I havent decided yet what im going to do with him, since ive never felt attached to him I might just transfer his money into another toon and move on.
My Grav/Thorns before the change with only SOs has 0 end problems, I couldve unloaded everything I had constantly with no pauses and still have a full bar of end. The damage was fine until Dom poped up, then It was amazing. Now, Still 0 end problems, I can just unload everything without worrying and he does uber damage without having to wait to build up Domination, I only use it now with Gravitational Distortion Field or Wormhole is up to pretty much perma hold/stun a mob.
This guy is a definate keeper and I feel if he was the same level as my Ice/Psy he would kill much faster than him without end problems.
As far as I'm concerned I'm very happy about the changes despite PSW -

Regen is very good, I actually saw just yesterday an EM/Regen beat a Kat/Regen Scrapper in a duel.
...Makes me want to roll one myself...

The Katana/Regen Scrapper musta been a n00b with a bad build then, tbh.

Actually it was Guyver 99, I've seen his stuff on Youtube he's just a beast... -

Who's brilliant idea was it to give stalkers hibernate anyway? :P
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know but I for one love it!
I've died from hibernate maybe a handful of times, most however were in the same day thanks to a /Rad, however DutchRad is the only /Rad I see anymore, and he basically is duels only... -

most people on teams and pvp just care about DPA

It has lower DPA than Shriek

*(not sure about that ill go check but either way its high dmg)*
At least in PvE. PvP hasn't mattered since i13 so I won't comment on that

I always take Shout, it's High damage

[ QUOTE ]
Sonics does best when one uses every last -res attack. The -res from different attacks will stack.
[/ QUOTE ]
Shout actually hurts the -res stacking and therefore your DPS, because of the high animation time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't you mostly solo Monsters and AVs though? Shout is the tier 3 blast and most people on teams and pvp just care about DPA, DPS is longtime battles, and most decent teams don't spend that long on a mob.
Just sayin' -
[ QUOTE ]
Hibernate is a joke in Zone PvP. Drop Radiation Infection and Enervating Field on the Hibernoob, pop a few yellows and reds, park your heavy ontop of them. Do a little dance while you wait and Spike them once Hibernate ends.
It's like a free kill.

Unless your a Stalker -
Edit: Boy do I not know how to read a post 1 thread down before posting

I'm playing around with numbers and just working with an ultimate drainer of most effects (Recov, Regen, Resist, Def, Etc.) And decided on an Elec/Dark.
Elec for the -End and /Dark for that Howling Twilight -3000% Regen mixed with various other things and a double DN with the Servant.
Anyways what I'm worried about is the damage. It seems as though there as 2 ST Attacks, 1 AoE, 1 Minor Damage AoE, a little damage hold, and Electric Shackles from the Mu PPP. 3 pets yes, but only 1 is full time damage, while 1 is lostly de-buff control and the PPP pet is over 2min downtime once gone. (Didn't have the slots for it.)
What I'm not looking for, surprisingly, in this build is AoE, I'm looking at ST, perhaps dueling and AVs (?) in it's future, but again, not sure if there is enough damage output going for me.
Here's the bulid and Input is greatly appreciated...

First off be sure to grab a Perception IO and put it into build-up. As far as devices blasters you should be able to see just about anybody from a distance with 1 Stealth power on just with Heightened Senses, however more than one, like Dev with a Stealth IO, and you should only see them closer up, and with the Percep IO, slightly farther still. Of course for me, living with a Zero Perception Stalker, Heightened Senses and that IO seems like it will suit all of your needs because you'll need to be close to charge up that Assassin Strike anyways...

Elec Has more AoE attacks than Spines, But I love my spines for AoE.
...And thats pretty much all I have to say, except for make sure to grab Mu's Ball Lightning... -
Yea, You can look at your toons but you can't play 'em

Just from the way you worded that it sounds like you think I16 is rouge, which its not, from the looks of things i16 is power customization
But I'm sure you knew that
Edit: Just checked the patch I'm downloading, and its dated *May* 27, not *June* 27 -
Wow, This thread has sparked my interest and has made me want to re-roll my thought of a Fire/Thorns into a Grav/Thorns for PvP. Granted Grav is no Mind, but a pet that can use your ST Ranged hold is a nice plus... GL to the OP with your /Thorns quest, I say I'll have to side with Dark Master and his opinion on this one...

Quick little question, I know the payoff badge gives a command to use the MA when your at the AE building, just not at a terminal, but what is that command?
(Or, did I hear wrong about what it does? I just need to know what exactly it does, because I'm not exactly the badge hunter so I'm not gonna spend 1,000 tickets on it when it does nothing real special )
Thx -
....I thought the devs wanted people to be able to level off the MA from 1 to 50...
Sure, not from those Farms, but from the custom content people make, nerfing the exp defeats the purpose of being able to level from it, and only level 50s who've gotten to 50 and played all the original content would bother to play the MA arcs if the xp was nerfed, because who would take a toon they just made into a AE building if they get nothing from it?
...I think all you want is the farmers to go back to PI, which...well, unless the xp was actually nerfed, will probably never happen... -

I'm just happy theres gonna be a new MM Primary, and the fact that it (atm) doesn't seem to be a humanoid makes it even better, I'm planning on rolling a Demon/Pain Dom as soon as "I16" expansion comes out, no matter what the demons turn out to be...
