!! 2 v 2 Sundays !!

Hallo Peeps! In response to increasing demand I, with the dedicated assistance of -X, will be holding weekly 2v2 arena PvP matches on Saturdays/Sundays. We are looking to have at least 10 teams show to represent their SGs, also to have some fun.

This is a feeler event to gauge the interest in the population to hold larger even prize laden events in the future. Please sign up here so -X and I can plan accordingly. You can also contact me in game @4shes anytime for more info and feedback.

Thanks for asking!! this first night started out as a casual "bring your pvp friend 4shes will set up the brackets and we will see if there is enough interest to support dredging for prize support"

I have been so impressed with the level of support I have received from the champion sg leaders in our grassroots campaign. also mad props for ReDorthy's over generous 20 million influence contrabution to our event.

So since this molehill is quickly becoming a mountain allow me to lay the ground rules.

matches will be 2v2 same partners throughout the night.
TS off DR on
If the two teams can agree on a map...great!! otherwise the map will be random and no map resets.
only arena insps and temps allowed
if you do not have a partner i will find one or I will team with the odd man out.

Prizes!!

i have a prize pool starting at 20 million thanks to the generousity of ReDorothy. If 10 or more teams participate I will match any additional donated prize money up to 100 Million!!!

So that means if every two man team donated 5 to 7 million influence the prize pool would grow to 200 million!!!

prizes will be awarded to the 3 top winning teams and the last place team with at least one win in a round robin format. also there will be a ballot where at the end of the event every sends a tell to me and votes for the 'team of the night' kind of a door prize for participating.

I can say though i PvP regularly i do not keep a regular partner for 2v2. so it was with that in mind i wanted to be considerate of those who like to pvp and may not have a regular partner.

WOW! Great turnout 14 teams! Too bad i was offline for a few days and saw this at the last minute. Thanks for the invite anyways 4shes. I will try to be there for the next one.

This is the type of thing i was trying to promote on the thread i made last week but for monthly not weekly events, glad to see more events.

I recommend though to maybe have 2 seperate groups or leagues at the same time, one for newbies and one for pros, so we dont get a 0-3 month hero with no IO's vs. Super Mr. Indestructible (5yr. vet with 2 Billion build).

If you need prize money for your event you know where to find me, i will help back your event for 100 million a month.

Was a good championship match! Gratz to Gfunny and Emp! There were no emps in the event.

The only word that came out of every chat window after the Championship Round was 'WOW'

Before we get the the recap of the final match I want to give mad props to our more than generous sponsors ReDorothy and Enigma for their donations to host this awesome turnout.

14 teams started the event after 4 rounds there we took the top 8 teams and started our single elimination brackets. The two undefeated teams in the first two rounds took the top spots

Rank 1 was Damage Elemental (fire/em blstr) and Berserk Frost (ice/therm troll)

Rank 2 Door Knob (SS/WP brute) and Hell who? (fire/em blstr)

Rank 3 X Synergy (Elec/Therm corr) and Onoes (pb)

Rank 4 Habachi's Mosquito (Kat/regen) and (i forget)

Rank 5 Energy of Light (fire/em blstr) and yeah yeah (Rad/ice offender)

Rank 6 False Guardian (mind/sonic troll) and dom 98 (grav/nrg dom)

Rank 7 Locks (sorry i forgot who your partner was)

Rank 8 Melted Sheets (Sonic/Therm corr) and That Darned Stalker (stlk)

The elimination brackets were awesome to watch. The last round was a rematch of one in the prelims where rank 3 team X and Onoes would fight undefeated Rank 1 team Damage Elemental and Berserk Frost.

The match started in Team X's favor. Spawning the cargo ship Team DE hid in the cargo hold to attemt an advantage against the uber range of the Onoes' squid forms attack. Team X quickly figured this out chewed some reds and waded into the fortified position. Team X had a 2-0 lead inside the 8:30 mark.

After the respawn Team DE came out blasting. BF's powerboosted holds were just enough to hold Onoes and X to score a few kills at the 5 minute mark the score was 5-3 Team X in the lead.

Having insps in reserve Team DE started popping in minute 6 staggering kills and tieing the match into the last minute 6-6.

Counting the last few seconds of the match was nailbiting. With the last kill of X Synergy Team DE won the match 7-6.

I must say I am so impressed with the level of play and sportsmanship shown this Saturday night.

I am looking foward to hosting our next event Sunday July 5th gathering at 7.30 pm eastern time and our first round will start no later than 8.00 pm.

With the assistance of ReDorothy and Enigma we fronted all the prize awards in the past event and am going to ask for a 10 million influence entry fee from those that can afford it and if you can't then I will cover your entry. Same as last week if we get 10 teams or more I will match all donations 1 to 1 up to 100 million. We had a sick pot of 225 Million Influence thats a quarter billion folks!!

Even reading about that fight gets my blood pumping, the most intense fight I've ever been in. Made it harder when everyone was watching :P Great night everyone, can't wait for next week.

I have seen That Darn Stalker being a killing machine in RV, he is better than this event shows. If you are hosting it again next saturday at 8:30 i will join.

PvP in RV is not the same as PvP in the Arena, big difference.

Locks was with Goddess Blue Rayne, and props to them being mainly PvE'ers, I hope more PvE'ers are able to make it out here for some fun and get involved in PvP. : )

I'm going to start coming to this PVP stuff in the future. Need to make a toon though, my kin is pretty terrible.
