    There was a fix.... lets see if i can remember what it was..

    Options --> Advanced --> Database editor
    --> Main Database Editor
    --> Select Scrapper_Defense (left side)
    --> Select Shield_Defense (middle)
    --> Double click on Phalanx_Fighting (right side)
    --> Click on Effects tab (3rd from left)
    --> Double click 3.75% Defense (Ranged)
    --> From the Affects: dropdown menu, select [none]
    --> OK
    --> OK
    --> Save & Close
    --> Close

    (Hopefully this was it)
    Anyway its posted somewhere here in these forums, just dont remember where

    Also 1 comment from your build, you might wanna change the Enzyme Exposure (End/def/tohit) to Membrane Exposure (rec/def/tohit) thatway you could free 1 slot from active defense (maybe to phys perfection or force feedback + recharge proc on thunderstrike, etc...)
  2. Thx for the advice! Didnt know that you could monitor those
  3. Hehe, had to make a: "purple galore" build aswell

    But, this is not a likely path in the near future atleast, mainly that +3% glad is so expensive, if not available at all... + ofc 4 purple sets

    Kinda, or actually only Elude... atleast im very reluctant to give up quickness (like that +20% recharge and speed)
  6. Hey again!

    Have got my char to 50 and acquired some cash with him (not too much, but enuff to see that maybe someday i CAN afford some goodies)

    Wanted to post a future plan here, what do ya think?

    Its the same powers but different slotting. More focused on hp+regen and recovery + also recharge. It does include 2 purple sets and 5x LotGs + the 3 regen uniquest aswell, so... but nothing ultraexpensive imo. Still softcapped (reluctant to let it go... althou, this toon will be doing mostly 0/8 missions i think )

    What would you change? Or does it look ok? Dont be afraid to suggest something "different" too!!

    Thx and that was what i was afraid for. This build luckily was really ment for AoE dmg, but thought that some single tgt would not hurt.
    Just dont like the JL long animation too much and kinda really hate the narrow cone... oh well, gotta get some purples and start planning a respec (its bound to happen _soon_ anyway)

    I think im running CI-CB-FB-CB atm if needed for single tgt, atleast with haste on it seems to work ok. (with haste off... eeek)
    Have to check my recharge times and see if it really works or not.

    *edit*
    according to Mid's my CI recharge time is 4.98s with haste on, so... yah

    I couldnt fit neither JL or HP in my build so i kinda lack a decent single tgt chain... have CB, FB and CI to use...
    And to too much recharge either (whine).

    Maybe someone could calculate some nice chain for those 3 attacks with a low recharge requirement? *blink*
    (Dunno if that is possible with low recharge thou...)
  9. Put em as EBs and it won matter what chain you use
    (and it will become a speed run aswell!)

    Looked at the build. nice options there. I noticed you had DC with 3 recharge IOs and I don't need the 6th oblit in Soul drain. I added one more slot to DC to get it to recharge cap and get some regen out of it by virtue of 2xsciroco's

    I also need more recharge on attacks so I swapped out for a recharge IO on smite and MG. I also put some dam/rech in life drain.

    I also spread out the slotting to be more forgiving at the lower levels.
    Cool, i wanted to take out the sixth Crushing impacts too, but didnt know if you really wanted that psi resist out of em or not

    Many times i've found that 2 lvl 50 recharge IOs is enuff for certain power eg. Hasten, Conserve power etc... since you wont add many seconds for their recharge with that slot. And since slots are precious, it might be more productive to use them elsewhere. But, i think that comes again down to your personal preference.

    *edit*
    Alianas build looks nice btw.
  11. Oh well, since i do own a MA/reg, i can recommend that. Its fun to play, even if it does feel a little "underpowered" at times. The AoE is not that good, and the even the single tgt dmg of the MA is not that great imo. However, the knockdown of the one and only AoE does provide nice mitigation. And personally, i love crane kick animation and long knockback, so...

    For the regen, i like it very much, since it demands constant attention and click click clickys. A nice counterpart compared to my Kat/SR scrappie.
    I also think that the /regen performs pretty well in the survivability department. Cant really compare to /INV since i dont have any (dunno i've always considered 'em _too boring_ [sry for all who love the /INV])
  12. May i suggest the following slotting for you, got some more endu recov there... and if you get atleast the +End accolades you can get even more recov.
    The question is, how much will you actually need?

  13. Aye, i skipped Jacobs ladder on my EIM build and havent looked back. But by eg. skipping "only" Havoc Punch, Confront and Lightning clap you could still get for example 3 from fitness, 2 from leaping, 2 from fighting, 2 from Epic pool and Haste.

    Or skip SJ and get SS instead (i still recommend the CJ, but could skip that and get weave instead)

    So, why not skip stamina? Fully slotted with 100 endumax it gives you 0.88 endurance/s. Its a lot, but if you can manage, its ok.
    (hope this is even a remotely correct number)

    Your Mid's seems to be v1.4, maybe upgrading to 1.6 helps?
    *shrug*
  16. Hyvältä näyttää!
    (Looking good!)
  17. Heal with Kat/SR is not "needed" but is is a "nice-to-have" feature.
    It depends what you like and how often you use the heal, gonna do AVs? You mind the 4s loss of DPS it makes? Could you fit BOTH tough and heal in?

    I personally would take the build with tough, but i also have a build with heal (actually my original idea and then respecced my 2nd SO build to IO with tough and fireball)

    But again, i'd still say its personal pref. and i would take the tough and quaff greens when needed
    (hmm... im repeating myself here... dang, gotta stop replying i guess... eek.)

    *edit*
    Oh also about the set mules, Kick with 3 slots can give 1.5% dmg and 1.88% ranged def
    5 slot boxing with purple absolute amazement is nice, but if you can spare 6 slots it could fit in stupefy or razzle dazzle for decent bonuses, however slots are typically needed somewhere else, so...

    ps. Claws there has a nice sig saying:
    "Because everyone else is doing it is the best reason not to."

    remember that

    pps.

  18. Elec/SR w/o stamina? Err... dont recommed, but if you feel like it, give it a try!
  19. Aid other is decent, but when used in combat it will hurt your dps somewhat.

    I like kick/boxing + tough (and many times also weave) personally, since both kick/boxing can be used to mule something useful in and while tough doesnt add a lot, it still ads up. Additionally, /sr dont have any other resistances, so...

    The ancillary power pools are mostly personal preference and some like something more than others. What are you missing? (or are you?) If you could somehow "fix" that by using power pools, then you will probably find the best combo for you. (umm... actually same goes with eg. adding swift etc...)
  20. Currently using 0/8 with my elec/shield and no bosses while solo... this is with mainly SOs, so... yah, need to uses some purples too to stay alive
    Maybe +1s would be ok too... i think +2s and beyond would eat my head.
  21. Im not sure, but i think one (or the) reason for the toughness of the "wall" is that the roman bastaads have quite a lot of defence debuffs in their attacks... I could be wrong thou.. (sry for not really answering the OP thou )
  22. Wow... had to dodge some bullets in the last few posts to get here, really!

    Heh... while i agree that CI needs some work and at the same time acknowledge it might not be as easy as it looks like, there must/has to be some kind of a "fix" for it?

    Could the initial hit maybe be increased a bit, to make it more a single tgt power it seems to be (you get that impression by looking at the IO sets it accepts) or lower the recharge and endu cost somewhat to counter for the fact that the chain does not pass on if the tgt dies? (i mean, the 5 tgt is not that much either).

    Not saying the elec melee needs more love, but saying maybe this particular power does. (But nothing major imo).

    Thats kinda what im also looking, no purples or LoTGs (atm, they are way too expensive) and also no AV or Pylon solo either.

    Thx for the suggestion!
  24. hi again!

    as Blue said, AV soloing with a(ny) scrapper is possible, still... you need to have a good attack chain and a possible way to counter the hp loss (with or without insps). The best (or best DPS) attack chain for BS is (stolen from BillZ thread, thx BillZ and others!) --> SCRAP BROADSWORD: Headsplitter/Hack/Disembowel/Hack

    wont go into details why and whats the reason for that (the math makes my head hurt! ). Im sure you can calculate the needed recharge levels yourself or someone will point them for you (sry, im too lazy atm )

    Do you want to use insps? If so, then aid self is not "needed", if not... well, then it kinda is, since the pure regen wont be sufficient enough to counter the AV dmg (or can it be??)

    I think it is scaled by max endu as pointed out by atleast Umbral and maybe some others (iirc). The 10 endurance is just a static msg and does not scale properly and if you have more endu, you will get more with the proc. Also, i personally also like the 2.5% dmg of the 5th piece, however... if you have the slots, that is
  25. Hey thx!

    And youre right about the def debuff... kinda have forgot that since the /SR really doesnt need any attention on that department.
