I only have 1 scrapper that can play at +4 x8. claws/wp

That is good but it makes me feel like all my other scrappers are worthless then

I am just curious what Diff level most scrappers play.

So List your sets and Diff level, and lets see whats going on out in scrapper land.

I play +2 x 8 on my Scrappers. They're capable of soloing +4's, but due to my willingess to endure the rather long durations, I don't. I can't enjoy standing there and repeatedly attacking. However, I don't have a /SD toon. The +Damage buffs from AAO and the awesome Shield Charge would lower the durations by a fair amount.

DM/Nin, usually run at x8 (even con) but capable of doing +4/x8

Edit: DM/Nin? I meant DM/SD, darn DM being so good and my stalker being so similar to my scrapper

spines/DA defensive IO build +2 x8

PuffCat claw/rgn scrapper
Painfull Death fire/fire tank
Spiney Slaughter spine/da walkingnuke
And many others including lvl50s of all ATs.
Mainly on Virtue, but Heroes on all servers.
A few lowbie villains on Justice and Virtue

Still experimenting, but generally +1 or +2 and x4 or x6. I like a brisk pace that's challenging without feeling like a slog. Depends a bit on the faction. I tend to dial it back against Arachnos.

Currently using 0/8 with my elec/shield and no bosses while solo... this is with mainly SOs, so... yah, need to uses some purples too to stay alive
Maybe +1s would be ok too... i think +2s and beyond would eat my head.

I do carnies while I power lvl my wifes emp at +2 x4. now I know you gonna say thats nto fair you ain't solo, however she was afk basically the whole mish.

The only time I play is on the weekends and that is rarely ever solo (with out wife). spines/sr.

I bet my build can sustain x8, but seeing my primary build the blues would role right out of my inspirations tray.

protector-knight: lvl 50 invun/axe tank
Lillian Brick: lvl 50 stone/stone/pyre tank
Hybrid-knight: lvl 50 db/regen scrap
Vengful-Nature: lvl 50 spines/sr/bod scrap
Element-Wizard: lvl 50 fire/storm/stone troll

+2/8. its the most effiecient for farming tickets in AE. I don't even finish the arc, once I hit about 1000 tickets I find the glowie and the bonus bumps me past the cap and I leave.

My spines/fire is set to +2/x8

DM/SR +4 X8 if I want a long mission, +2 X8 for a fast run bosses always on with both. +0 X2 if there is an AV inside.

I like +3x3. I can play on harder levels, especially vs certain enemy groups, but I prefer missions that take 5-10 minutes over ones that take 10-20.

+0/x2 on my Spines/Dark, but only because he's still using SOs and I have enough endurance problems as it is without larger fights. I'd been running "no bosses" for speed but I may change that since I found the bosses I ran into while trick or treating went down pretty easy... Spines has more single target damage than I thought it did.

I'm hoping to go up to +2/x6 or so once I get some decent IOs, but that will have to wait until proces settle down after the 2xp weekend fallout.

MA/regen > +0/x8 for drops, or +2/x4 when I just want prestige or play without care for drops.

My kat/inv can certainly do missions at +4/8 (in fact, I've AFKed in the middle of a +4/8 spawn and was alive when I came back), but I prefer +2/6 or something like that for better xp/inf/prestige to time ratio.

My spines/SR could probably do +2/8 quite fast but he still has powers unslotted from the respec I did ages ago so would have to fill those up to see where he's at....

FM/SR usually plays at +2/4-6 depending on the enemy group.

Spines/fire plays at +0/8 for maximum carnage and recipes.

Can't wait to get my elec/shield to 50....

OK, reading this thread just depressed me. I'm curious about lvl of char vs diff lvl. I'm still on my first toon and he's lvl 37. I have adjusted his diff from -1 x8 to 0 x4 and that's about as high as I can safely go. If I up # of guys (i.e. 0 x6) and get spawns with red bosses it seems to be too much. I prefer getting more drops to getting more xp so usually just stick with -1 x8. I'm guessing I need some nifty IOs (currently have common IO build) or I just suck. Well, thinking about it, I don't care too much, still having fun, just a little irritated.

Having fun is certainly the important part. I can't speak for others, but I build my scrappers for survivability first, damage output second. While leveling, I frankenslot my attacks in the mid 30s, and have SOs and common IOs in everything else. I also put a Steadfast Protection and a Kismet in every build. The frankenslotting tends to be for a whole lot of endurance reduction to allow me to run a whole lot of toggles that help my survivability - Tough, Weave, Maneuvers, whatever. I also make liberal use of inspirations.

That is not really possible. According to the dev responsible for the new difficulty settings the old difficulty system was quite a mess of tables and formulas. +2/x0 is not dead on but close enough, though.

If it has
eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.

There's a world of difference between a level 37 scrapper and a purpled out 50 scrapper. Also, people saying 4x8 are not doing 4x8 for any and every enemy group.

I've done +4/x8 with the following on my purpled claws/sr:
Council: Cakewalk
Circle of Thorns: Cakewalk
Carnies: omloagwtfbbq the pain oh sweet satan the pain... doable, but not remotely worth it.
Arachnos: Rough. Doable, but rough. Really rough.
Cimerorans: I can't get followup to land enough to be able to hit them, but they can't do much to me either as long as I keep moving and don't let a cascading defense failure occur. If I had a constant tohit buff, I think they'd be pretty easy.
Vanguard: I refuse to discuss this. But I can point to where they hurt me on that doll.

Be well, people of CoH.

I tried Vanguard, +4/x8, and couldn't do it. Once one guy landed a hit, I would die within seconds. Their long aggro range also made it very tricky to pick them off one at a time.

I am pretty sure I can handle +4/x8 of any enemy group but them and Rularuu.
