It's funny, my wife was a huge Madonna fan growing up (H u g e), all her records, wore the lace underwear outside et al, but she doesn't hear any likeness to M's music in G's latest release.
When I heard gaga's latest song on the other hand, and without any knowledge of the heated net buzz of ripoff it's created, the similarity to two of Madonnas songs instantly hit me to the extent I was filling in the lyrics with "Deitrich and DiMaggio..".

This was applicable on the first day of release, but on my server, and I'm willing to guarantee all the others as well, it's a total autopilot 96% of the time.
There's always going to be a newb mixed in, like the +0 defender on my lambda last night who attempted to solo the AV while everyone was acid'ing doors. -

My fire/mace/pyre tank's been racking up rares or higher on most of the trials I've done since release (roughly 25 on that tank), in fact I easily had more rare i-salvage then I had unlocked slots to craft powers.
If your tank is less aoe centric, well, that could be what is skewing OPs experience. -

Heh your title made me chuckle, and of course it's so true.
BAB was at one point tinkering with one or two new weapon options (for axe also), but obviously that's moot now.
I can't tell you how often during a beta I would ask Chris if he would just consider taking Tech mace's lightning effect and add it to War Hammer.
For some reason he never would.. -

Mace currently has good attack speeds, some disorienting capabilities, an accuracy bonus, moderate endurance use, heavy smashing aoe, and strong ST damage.
On the other side you could say it only has moderate stun effects, still has the undesirable weapon redraw which hampers dps, and comparatively lacks a "wow" power ie Total Focus-Knock Out Blow, although Crowd Control is now like a half Footstomp.
As far as what other option I'd suggest for elec/ SS or SM.

Having a few good storm-whatevers +2 with Interface & Judgement camping the two main lanes either side of the TCourts will account for a huge amount of non-mando defeats.
As everyone quickly works up the I-ladder each of these trials will be become more and more sleepwalks. -

I can't even bear to log into the game because I know all I will be demanded to do is incarnate content, which is just the two same tired boring trials.
Hmm, I'm trying to find where you're told to run 10 trials in a day.. nope.
