Elec/WM first WM tank

I've been working on an elec/wm tank, he's lvl 38 atm made him more for a concept build. First time I've played /WM, just curious to how it is at lvl 50? How does the damage output stack up against other secondaries, and are the attacks pretty even for ST and MT? If WM can be a good secondary, does it cost alot to get it to that point? Was thinking of deleting and rerolling him as an Elec/SS I have several /SS tanks sounds like it could be a good combo, then thought about Elec/DM strong ST attacks plus the -tohit from the attacks, thinking that would help with the harder to reach soft cap defense, then there's elec/fire as an option, I have several /fire tanks aleady aswell and it has a nice mixture of st and mt attacks.

The two main things I guess i'm looking for are

1) For those who've played /WM what do you think of that set, pros and cons?

2) In your opionion, what would and/or could be a good secondary for elec, and
why do you think so?

Well, for Elec/, UntoldHero has several, and likes /SS best. I have Elec/Stone, and he's fine, though I've said before that I sometimes cast jealous eyes at /SS. I believe that /Stone offers better mitigation (thank you Fault), but I'm sure that /SS offers better damage.

Others have /DM, and like it for Siphon Life. I would say don't count on the -tohit helping much, especially against AVs and higher-level mobs, as that is resistable.

I haven't had good experiences with /Fire on Tankers, so I'll let others with positive things to say comment on it.

/WM should be fine though. Don't worry about redraw, as that does NOT add to animation times now per the devs.

Current primary characters, all on Guardian:
The Amber Fist (Elec/Stone Tanker) | Pixelbeater (Fire/Kin Corr) | The Sequencer (Bots/Traps MM)
Blakkat (Claws/Dark Brute) | Mhogus'thra (Ill/Dark Cont) | Wyldhunt (Beast/Dark MM)

War Mace is fun.

Clobber is just stupid damage! Also you got a 5% inherent accuracy bonus to your attacks. That's handy.

The downside to war mace is, its endurance heavy, but... hang on... you're using electric armour, that means, power sink. Get that bad boy popping quick enough and you're laughing!

I find whirling mace a bit naff as an AOE. its a bit... "oh, is that it." It doesn't knock em down, or nothing, hits em all, but its a bit lame.

Crowd control, limited to cone, but, its funny watching you use the mace like a baseball bat to swing for a home run.

Well, it seems your not sure on what you want? The best thing to do is ask yourself what do you want from your ela tank? The best secondairies would be SS/SM variety of ST AND MT mitigation. Aftee all the more you keep them down the safer you are. The heal is a good heal but lacka against certain enemies. The more mitigation you have the better ela shines. Example is my ela/db I cant solo +4 +8 carnies but my ela/ss I can... in the end its up to you and prefrence... Id give WM a go. Wen I get home ill see what I can do in a build for you

I dont really know what to say

Best Secondary for Elec/ ???

To do what? Thats the real question. A Elec/DM Tanker is going to be a lot harder to kill them a Elec/FM. However the Elec/FM is going to put out more AoE damage.

So what are you looking for in a secondary?

Main: Praetor Imperium Elec/SS/Mu

1. I love it, honestly its a great hybrid set. Nice ST damage Nice AOE damage. The end is a little heavy however that can be worked with, especially with Electric Armor. With decent recharge Whirling Mace and Crown Control can be used back to back. The sheer carnage is far better then most would think. Also, Crowd Control has a few nuances with its use. Its a 180 Degree Cone that hits 10 targets. Small positioning makes all the difference with a cone.

1 A. I see you have Electric Armor. its a great set and is far better then it is sometimes portrayed. I would argue it can be as good as Inv and WP if built in a specific manner. Soft Capping S/L Defense while building for recharge and regen is a very interesting combination. I am not sure if you were planning on going for IO's but it makes a world of difference.

2. Elec/SS is an awesome combination. I have run nearly everything with this tank with little difficulty.

Mace currently has good attack speeds, some disorienting capabilities, an accuracy bonus, moderate endurance use, heavy smashing aoe, and strong ST damage.

On the other side you could say it only has moderate stun effects, still has the undesirable weapon redraw which hampers dps, and comparatively lacks a "wow" power ie Total Focus-Knock Out Blow, although Crowd Control is now like a half Footstomp.

As far as what other option I'd suggest for elec/ SS or SM.

In addition to Crowd Control, I also consider Clobber to be a highlight of the set. It has extremely good DPA and has a guaranteed stun for minions and lieutenants. Stacked with other stuns it will affect bosses.

I've personally never minded the weapon redraw or felt that the endurance cost was noticeably higher than average for tank secondaries. And between Clobber and the three KD/KU attacks, the set has a lot of very reliable damage mitigation.
