Also, might want to avoid drinking tap water. We put something in it to make you forget, but we forgot exactly what we put in it and now we can't take it out. There's a giant tank at the water treatment plant labeled 'MERCURY', but that's been there for as long as we can remember.

Welcome! Organ donation aside, Champion is a wonderful server. Here are some key things to remember:
1. Join one (or both) of the following two global chat channels: 'BMT of Champion' or 'Champions United'. BMT of Champion is a private channel, so you will have to be invited by a moderator. It is focused on keeping chatter game related (e.g. forming TFs, raids, badges, etc.) Champions United is more social in nature. These channels will help get you acquainted with most of Champion's residents and help you find teams, task forces, and badge opportunities.
2. Take a look at our Event Calendar. We have several weekly events, from raids to themed nights.
3. Beware the Pingus.
4. A lot of new folks ask about joining SGs. There is no need to do this right from the start if you have joined the key global channels and are able to make it out to weekly events. My advice is to take your time with this and not to feel pressured.

You may have noticed a tendency for this server to get rather silly. Now I do my best to keep things moving along, but I'm not having things getting silly. Those two last posts got very silly indeed, and that last one about the bed was even sillier. So, I just happened to notice that your server's forum had more posts than ours. And sure enough, it seems you have more of what I actually dig, scheduled events for veteran players who know what they're doing.
I gotta figure out a name, the hardest part of any toon, and then I'll show up, PUG the sewer and SC until I'm acceptable to get in on some of the scheduled stuff.

Welcome back! And judging from your sense of humor thus far... Amy did suggest two other good channels for you. If you're ever looking for a channel to cut loose and still find great teams with vets and players willing to help and so forth.. then come to DarkGuard Network.
You can do a search for it and join or just hit me up @Braije or @Steeldominator several ppl that can get you an invite as we're all equal. And I must agree with Silas, Corruptors are good times!
Btw.. I won't lament and tell you what a great server this is... all I can say is as a collective Champion Server breaks the game and has fun doing it

I, too, am a Freedomite who is growing increasingly frustrated with Freedom. I've been lurking in the bushes of the Champion forum for quite a while and like the cut of your collective gib. Silas's Kin guide has become holy text for my DP/Kin corr and I may just re-roll him on Champion today.

How active is Champion Praetoria? I want to make a corruptor for blue side, and was wondering if I would have better luck leveling up in Pratoria or the Isles.

As for the Praetoria question, yeah Redside is relatively empty compared to Blueside. As much as it pains me, I think if you want a lot of teaming, you're best off being blue or gold for leveling up since there's a lot more teaming. People also run the TFs a lot more regularly because they give more merits and are needed for TF Commander.
So what you've gotta do is make lots of Corruptors in Praetoria

Last night around midnight Central, I saw a lil level 1 Irish Fury out in Atlas, a very different Atlas than I'm used to. There was no one there. Well, a guy afk in WW and two trial guys which, due to their communication limitations, I recommended to go Virtue or Freedom. After an emote-off, which I clearly won due to my Party Pack and knowing grief and propose, I called it a night.
I found I had a lev 28 Tank from years ago when I didn't know anything. I say that because, holy crap the slotting, if you can call it that. I'm working on a fire/electric build for her, and have piggybacked a thread in the Tank forum if any of you know how to do that AT for PvE play. When searching, there's a lot of def vs rech controversy. [search "havoc plasma" for those threads]
Dunno how to build this tank. Only tank I've had that worked was ice/dark, which is a totally, totally different animal.

After one hell of a plane ride, bus trip, and a huge cab faire, I'm back in the city.
I decided to come back after they cut my hours and my Fiancé left me and I have all this free time and nothing to do with it (except Civil War reenacting and Dagorhir and SCA and underwater basket weaving), so I thought I'd go grab myself a pack and sit down and get reacquainted with something that I probably didn't spend enough time with. I left roughly two months after getting here last time. It was a time of great exploitation. People would camp out in front of the AE buildings like they were waiting for the new iPhone to be released. After killing 1000000000000000000000 Rikti my Scrapper got fed up. I'll never forget what he said to me that day. Those words haunt me in my dreams:
"Look kid, you're on your own now. I'm done." I tried to yell at him: "You can't leave me, I OWN you!," but he was already gone...
Left without an avatar I was lost and confused, like a kid abandoned in a shopping mall I'm not superhero! How do I do this alone? Frightened and alone I left the city, leaving a trail of tears in my wake.
But I'm back! I struck out with Heroes, but maybe a Praetorian will be my avatar, they seem like decent people. I could always go grovel before Lord Recluse in the hope that he'll loan me one of his soldiers to play with.
All kidding aside, I've returned. With the fancy new expansion and some free time on my hands I decided to revisit something I don't think got a fair shot last time around. I am looking for a starting point to build all of my "starter" characters. This account my be old, but I've logged less than 3 months playtime... I'm tempted to avoid the obvious choices: Freedom and Virtue. A little birdie told me this was the friendly server and I thought "That's where I need to be." The front page alone made me want to look more into this. The things I remember off the top of my head are lost my car keys and the Mjolnir kids toy. Things like this make me want, nay, need more information on this server. I'm a very casual minded individual, so the seriousness of Virtue can be, well, stifling at times. And the 3 red dots in front of Freedom scare me away.
