Prospective Champion
Last night around midnight Central, I saw a lil level 1 Irish Fury out in Atlas, a very different Atlas than I'm used to. There was no one there. Well, a guy afk in WW and two trial guys which, due to their communication limitations, I recommended to go Virtue or Freedom. After an emote-off, which I clearly won due to my Party Pack and knowing grief and propose, I called it a night.
I found I had a lev 28 Tank from years ago when I didn't know anything. I say that because, holy crap the slotting, if you can call it that. I'm working on a fire/electric build for her, and have piggybacked a thread in the Tank forum if any of you know how to do that AT for PvE play. When searching, there's a lot of def vs rech controversy. [search "havoc plasma" for those threads] Dunno how to build this tank. Only tank I've had that worked was ice/dark, which is a totally, totally different animal. So, I'll check the calendar. Woob woob woob woob. |
Which setup do you want to go with, Recharge or Defense?

(Disclaimer: This second paragraph of this post contains thinly veiled sarcasm intended to insult the culture on a particular server. My apologies in advance to any that may be offended. Rest assured, this post does not apply to anyone reading it, as I am sure you exhibit all the finest qualities we have come to expect from a fellow CoHer.)
Wow, I'd just like to say thank you for all of the happy greetings and warm welcome. While I did find the usual hotspots to have less traffic than I'm used to, the global channels exhibited something I have never seen the likes of on Freedom. I could not help but feel this odd sensation that people actually wanted to run missions. When I was told by Cobalt Azurean that discussions about power leveling and farming were not allowed in the BMT of Champion channel, I thought to myself "How could this be?"
You see, over on Freedom, people go to these "AE" buildings. Within the safety of these walls there is no need to learn your powersets or understand team dynamics. There is a viscous rumor circulating that you can make actual quality story arcs in the AE, but we all know this to be an absolute fabrication. Freedom is a happy place where any non lvl 50 is a "n00b" and if you don't like to settle disagreements in the PvP arena, then you are "teh suck."
In all seriousness, I had a smashin' good time on Champion. Not long after my shiny new DP/Sonic corruptor, Crimson Cowboy (who regrettably looks like a Villiage People reject) was released on the streets of Praetoria, Amygdala put together a mission team and a good time was had by all.
@Silas, I am a corruptor junkie, and I will have many more coming up in Praetoria very soon. They are easily my favorite AT, and I look forward to getting to the point where I can join you guys on some of your all support TFs. On Freedom, I have a dark/storm, DP/Kin, and Rad/Therm. Traps looks tasty, and I can't help but be intrigued by trick arrow.
Irish, I don't think you can insult the AE babies on Freedom. They're an embarrassment to us all. Though I have wondered why they don't use the AE in RWZ so they could have villains and heroes PLed at the same location, then I remember they don't know it exists.
I think my fire/electric tank is going to be my Champion-main. I've got a good, affordable build that caps E/N only, but I realize I should sort out a 32% on S/L/E/N, which sounds smart at least until there is some more Incarnate content. Running BAF 900 times is about enough for me.
Well, we wouldn't want anything to happen to that nice account of yours now would we?
