Once you've built the wings, you'll have to visit a tailor to add them to your costume. There will be a small charge for that.
Tailors are located in the North-West area of Steel Canyon, or there is one near the King's Row gate to Independence Port. -
Thumbs up for Organ Grinders, and another where you learn more about Countess Crey, but not where you actually fight her. "On the Trail of the Countess?"
"A Titan Named Joe" is also good.
Some of the late Malta arcs really grind my gears (in a good way) as we see what they are willing to do to preserve "Freedom" and "Democracy".
I actually typed out a rant in broadcast on a solo mission against Malta. No one to hear it but eavesdrdopping GMs.
What can I say? I get into it.
Villainside, I'm curious as to where Sister Aurelia's story will go. Haven't completed it yet. -
The Man from Yesterday, 30-35? I snarled and swore at the screen as I read my "Souvenir".
Villainside, Weston Phipps, with Ms. Francine Fine. -
If you want to to team with your sweetie, you'll either need to upgrade to a full account, or get a third party to link you up. Ooh, kinky!
Can trial characters enter into level pacts?
A level pact is an agreement between two characters on different accounts that distributes any xp earned between them, no matter who is online or not. It's a good arrangement to prevent one character from outlevelling the other.
Even if you can't set one up, you can still use the sidekick/exemplar system, if there is at least 3 levels between you. -
What server are you playing on? Cash permitting, I may be able to help you get some wings early.
Also, you can get a jet pack, good for 2 hrs of flying time, at level 5-10, for both heroes and villains. -
1) How do you work the chat system. Is it because i'm on trial that i cant talk to people? i try typing in the help channel and i don't see what I've typed show up under the help tab.
You are on a trial, and therefore cannot use the broadcast channel, or tells. To talk in the help channel, use /hc Question. Edit your chat tabs to make sure the chat channel is showing.
2) I see people with wings. Is that an option you get when you choose to fly, or what? How do you acquire them?
Wings are purely cosmetic. You can fly without them. You can have wings and not fly. However, they do look cool, and flap when you fly.
Some wings are available only as veteran rewards (angel wings, demon wings, 15 months paid time, I think). Some wings are only available as crafted items (burnt wings, tech wings, dragon wings, bone wings, cherub wings, bat wings, others?)
The Valkyrie (armoured and feathered wings) are only available if you apply a Mac Edition serial code, or Mac Item Pack serial code to your account. It works on PC computers too.
3)How do you join groups?
Since you are on trial, you cannot join supergroups, although you may be able to start one at level 10. Supergroups are more permanent associations, with ranks, permissions, and often bases. Often called "guilds" in games with less spandex.
Teams are loose assocations of people put together to run some missions or complete some tasks. Since you are on a trial, you cannot invite people to your team, although you can be invited. Sometimes called a "party" in games where no-one seems to own a cellphone.
To start a team while on a trial, you'll need the help of someone with a full account. Use the help channel (/hc) or local to ask around, politely, please.
www.paragonwiki.com as previously mentioned, is a good source of info. As are these boards. If you ask a question, you're much more likely to be flooded with excessively helpful people than to get snark. -
Consequences?
Lady Grey Task Force: Stop a Rikti Invasion, and the arrival of the Honoree
Stateman Task Force: Stop Lord Recluse's scheme to make himself the most powerful person on the planet
Imperious Task Force: Stop a temporal incursion by forces unknown into the Roman era, that could change everything.
Shadow Shard Task Forces: Enter the mind of an insane god to prevent even more bloodshed and slaughter of the innocents who live there.
Consequential enough for you?
There's some "hardcore" supergroups out there, where defeat=delete. That's consequences. -
Of course, a hero's work is never done. Even if you defeat Recluse in his hideous plot to make himself the MOST POWERFUL creature on the planet, the Fifth Column is on the rise again (Issue 15: AnniVersary) , which may or may not be connected to the "Coming Storm" hinted at by the Menders.
And the upcoming Going Rogue seems to be allowing more complex shades of grey in morality.
Evil's kept Superman busy for over sixty years. -
Real consequences? As in, you lose, you die permanently?
Or, Lord Recluse is dethroned, and defeated, and never-ever shows up in the game again?
Or Statesman is killed, and is never coming back?
I'm not sure what you are looking for. Because, no matter what you do, the game must be preserved for the next guy in line to do something cool too.
So if you are looking for an "ending," it's the one you choose to make up. You can say that after you defeat Lord Recluse, he is permanently removed from power, and a slow process of de-eviling begins in the Rogue Isles.
Sounds like a job for the Mission Architect. -
The purpose of all content is entertainment.
What could be considered end game content is:
Lord Recluse Strike Force
Statesman Task Force
Shadow Shard Task Forces
Recluse's Victory PVP, or any PVP
Hamidon Raid
Rikti Ship Raid
Lady Grey Task Force
Imperious Task Force
(upcoming) Anniversary Task Force and Strike Force
Ourboros Task Forces, especially Mender Silos
Mission Architect, building or playing
Base Building
Purpling Out
Market PvP
Badge Hunting
Make a new character
To the Original Poster: Have you done all of these? I'm sure you'll find something fun in there. -
Malefactored to a level 11-12 Mastermind, taught about DOs, some info on inventions, and malefactoring itself. Also, bodyguard mode, and "enchant undead" allows the zombie puke attack!
-
Been on two task forces over the weekend.
In both cases, a team member said they had to go after one or two missions, but then, somehow, showed up again for the last mission.
KICKED!
To keep them on and allow them to collect the rewards would be disrespectful of those who fought their way through the entire task force. One of them was Positron! -
1) Do a current Virus scan and spyware scan
2) Defragment your hard drive
3) Ensure latest updates applied
4) Update all video drivers, and other drivers
5) Do a scandisk on your hard drive
6) Check running temperatures on your computer.
7) Ensure all cooling fans are running
8) Do a dust-blast on your cooling fans and fins
9) Ensure all cables are securely fastened, cards are tight, and memory is tight.
10) Do a memory test
11) Get HiJack This and post the results in the Tech Forum, asking for help
12) I thought Win 7 was in Beta.... No guarantees there. -
Agreed. Unless you've levelled a few times since you got the mission, she tends to tough.
-
Sure thing. Do what you want.
I tend to take all the primary and secondary powers if this character is exploratory, and respec them late in their career when I feel I have a better understanding of how stuff works. -
Are we talking canon facts, or ridiculous Chuck Norris style tall tales?
-
Devs don't necessarily read this forum. If you want to speak to them, send them a PM.
-
I always thought the CoT Boss Mages had better perception.

EDIT: Start your own.
Keeping a team together as leader is more work, for one, because people are always dropping out for that "real life" thing.
If you have just you and another person, duo a few. During pauses, look in the team search window, throw out a few invites, kick some butt, repeat.
Make sure you read their search comments, and abide and/or remark on them.
Talk to those "Looking for mission team" or "Looking for anything" first.
Be friendly, and give a lot of info in your invites. "We're running level 12 missions in the Hollows, currently facing Trolls. A scrapper would compliment our team really well right now. Would you like to join us?"
Lower level people usually don't mind sidekicking up, but be careful of zone restrictions or difficult to navigate areas, like Eden or Perez Park. Higher level people are less likely to want to exemplar because they don't get xp or they lose powers. But you can still ask. If you are looking for higher level people, start with the level 50's (make sure you mention your average team level!) because they can't get xp anymore anyways.
Throw notes, star ratings and friend list those who impresses you. Look them up first when you start looking for a team again.
While leading, lead. You can ask opinions of "Anyone got something they want taken care of?" but don't dither. Be decisive. -
What server are you on? Perhaps an experienced player could join you for a mission or two, and offer advice, or confirm any difficulty bugs.
Igneous are tough!
Other than trying to pull one at a time, I'd suggest if you get two or more, concentrate on defeating one, then run, recover, and re-engage. -
At level 10, you are directed to an Invention tutorial in Steel Canyon as a Hero, or Cap Au Diable as a villain.
-
Why would you think that being an elec/elec blaster is a sign of someone new?
My friend, 3+ year vet, has an elec/elec blaster that's a.. ahem... blast to play. I made one myself, currently at level 26, because it looked like so much fun, and it is! -
Even if your name was wiped, the character would remain. If that account was reactivated, they would need to rename the character, that is all.
-
In reflection, it would be better to start with friendly question, rather than an accusation.
"Can you use Fortitude more? It's a really good power."
"You seem to be AFK a lot. Are you having problems?"
It gives them the benefit of the doubt, if they are ignorant or distracted by real life issues. It also lets leechers know you are paying attention.
