Because the internal Mids updater still points to the old place where Mids used to be hosted when it was maintained by Mids himself. Changing the stuff that references that is apparently non-trivial (not to mention needing to configure Titan to host the update stuff is non-trivial, too).

He didn't really ask a question. It looked mostly rhetorical, what with the following several paragraphs explaining why it doesn't work that followed. link

"Seriously?" is not a real question. We cannot help you with that question. Perhaps you meant to post, instead, in the General section or somewhere more relevant. Except we don't have a section for ranting, and in fact, ranting is pretty much not allowed by the forum guidelines.

Quote:I have local friends. Heck, a couple of them are on my fb list. I keep in touch with them largely through the phone. It's a new-fangled wireless contraption that lets you talk long-distance via voice without having to be attached to a computer or wired into your house. All the people that respond to that "go get real friends" bring up their friends far away.
Well, it's nice of course to keep in touch with friends far away with any means at your disposal, but what about LOCAL friends?
Surely, you people must have some LOCAL friends that you can pal around with, or do you spend all your time on your computer in Facebook or whatever talking to your remote friends?
I don't spend "all my time on my computer in Facebook or whatever talking to my remove friends", btw. Nice attempt at condescension. It takes about 10 seconds to read a status update, another 10 seconds to make a comment (if I do, which most of the time I do not), and then it's on to the next status update from someone else. All in all, it takes about 10-15 minutes to catch up on Facebook if I don't go there for a couple days. If I visit daily, it's typically just a few minutes. I visit daily so that I can do other things instead of sit on Facebook for 15 minutes at a stretch. It's part of my daily "I'm awake but I'm not happy about it" routine: breakfast with a side of internet. I don't, in fact, lose any time with my "real life" friends because I wouldn't be spending those few minutes with them anyway.

Quote:I live in Seattle. Most of my family is back home in Iowa. My mom, my sisters and brothers, cousins, nieces and nephews... almost all of them live within one state of Iowa. (One brother and sister-in-law live in Connecticut.)I'm more inclined to wonder why people use Facebook, when they can go out and have real friends.
Yep, I can just drive down the street and chum up with them. Family gatherings are easy! (NOT.)
One of my friends from high school is moving to Austin, TX (put a bid in on a house and got it last week, woohoo! posted pictures too, nice house). Another one is moving to Florida (or has already, not sure, hasn't posted in a while).
Yep, I can go out and have dinner with them. Easily. On a semi-weekly basis. From thousands of miles away. Sure.
I have one friend who regularly goes between Missouri and SPAIN. Now that's easy to get to! If it weren't for Facebook, I wouldn't know where he is at any given moment.
I have a few people on there who are my boyfriend's friends from when he lived in California.
In fact, a very large majority of my fb list does not live within "go out and have real [friends/family]" distance, mainly because of the awesomeness of the internet making the world much "smaller", so I know people from all the hell over the place.
So get the hell out of here with your "go out and have real friends" comment. Thanks very much. -
Justice and Infinity are the next servers most typically, after F&V. I play on both. Both are equally dandy. As are all the other servers, including F&V.

I think if you were voted out or were disqualified, I think you should be eligible for re-entry if it happens (IMO it just makes things take longer). I think if you dropped out, you dropped out, and nuts to you.

I have one person like that on my fb list. I hid her from my news feed, and only go to her page when I'm curious what drama's going on now. (Which isn't often.)

Quote:If you're using dual-, triple-, or quad-aspect IOs, you can sometimes ignore scaling altogether.Actually, level 50s would be a better choice because the scaling is applied to the enhancement value, and level 50s have higher values than lower level enhancements.
Quote:1. The Minor Bonus Threshold. The game doesn't scale down bonuses that are small to begin with. Any individual benefits of 20% or less are unaffected by Exemplaring down as far as level 21. Enhancement benefits of 10% or less are unaffected by Exemplaring to levels 11-20. Benefits of 5% or less are never reduced by Exemplaring. Ignore Steps 2 and 3 for each separate bonus you have that's at or below these minimums.
This step often comes into play with multi-aspect IOs, especially ones that boost three or four different attributes.Quote:Due to Step 1, you can use up to level 25 Dual-Aspect IOs, level 43 Tri-Aspect IOs, and level 50 Quad-Aspect IOs and suffer no bonus reduction unless you Exemplar to level 20 or lower. (Those breakpoints are only accurate for Schedule A benefits. Schedule B's are higher, C's and D's are lower.) -

Quote:I remember that guy. He was awesome. If awesome actually meant 'pathetically sad'.Not even close. This ranks up there with the guy that wanted the devs to lower the monthly sub fee to ten buck a month because he was disabled and couldn't afford $15 bucks each month, and he wasn't willing to change what he spent on gambling and porn.
He actually posted his budget and listed his monthly porn and gambling expenses. -
Empathy/ or /Empathy anything. Not as a "healer", but Empathy has some ridiculously tasty buffs, mang.

Quote:This?EDIT: On an unrelated note, I can't help but wonder what Kristen's icon is...
That's Onyxia's head, the icon for the achievement for killing Onyxia. Each achievement in WoW has its own art, just like our badges. (Although, just like our badges, some of them get reused, or minor changes.) -
Not only no, but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
I already hide every stupid app that I don't care about that other people spam my page with, it'd just be another pile of junk in my hidden stuff list. -

Everyone gets an honorable mention, it was really hard to choose this month (again) I changed my votes about ten times before I was like "FINE, JUST SUBMIT IT ALREADY" -
shedevil, I would like to gift you with these carriage returns. They make reading things much easier:
You're welcome. -
Ironblade, it's T_C_S... what do you expect?

Hiya! Welcome to the forums. You should poke at your server's forum, or at least mention your server name here. There are many servers in this game.
edit: pfah, beat not only by Bill, but by the OP replying as well. /wrists -

I would like it if they were global. If you get the badge on one character, it flags your account - YOU were there for the anniversary, which is what counts, doesn't it?
Besides, I have over a hundred characters at this point and logging most of them in for the anni badge is TEDIOUS AS HELL.
edit: I don't support crafting or purchasing old anni badges. If you weren't there for it, YOU WEREN'T THERE. -
I've been here since late 2005, and I haven't done all of the content in the game. I actually haven't done quite a few of the TFs/SFs either.
I have never turned off XP earning; before that was available, I never went into debt for content except to get the Bling badge for Doctor Buzzsaw villainside, once.
Amusingly enough, due to editing on the wiki, however, even though I haven't done the content I am familiar with it already.
