    PA needs heal?

I have not been able to settle on exactly what hurts PA.

I know Hamidon's attack [Electrolytic Blast] does hurt PA. Maelstrom's Teleporting Kick thing also really hurts PA. Fall damage as well. It seems that any untyped damage (fall damage, Hamidon Damage) will hurt PA, but I'm pretty sure they are fine with Unresistable damage.

The Decoys do not resist damage, but are untouchable. http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...?id=Pets_Decoy

However, I am very uncertain of the untouchable mechanic.
  2. Few things:

-Welcome to the game, it gets easier.
-I'm curious to see how you perform.
-Conserve Power uses 9.75 end, with your two end red enhancements, it drops to 3.22. Most people don't slot end red in CP
-How are you on endurance usage? do you seem to run out often?
-Most people in the game prefer to use their tier 9 god-mode power (Unstoppable for your set) only when leveling. Once 50, they drop it because they can slot better.
-I never suggest a melee toon, especially a tank, to slot for Knock Back.

When you IO a toon, you want to ask yourself two fundamental questions. What am I trying to achieve, and what goals should I attain first. Since you are a tank, I would say you would want infinite sustainability while being able to take just about anything coming your way, with damage as a fringe benefit (otherwise roll a brute or scrapper). To this end we first want to Soft Cap your Smashing and Lethal defense, then work on soft capping your Energy and Negative defense. Thirdly, it would be swell if you could have permanent Dull Pain because of the immense amount of +HP it gives. This will require a decent amount of +Recharge, but not a metric ton. (55%ish global recharge with hasten 3 slotted)

This build is soft capped to all 6 major types of damage with one person in melee range of Invincibility.

This is not the best, nor does it have perma dull pain. I will leave that up to you to fiddle with This build might look expensive, but with time invested and planning, you can get this over several weeks if diligent or perhaps a month or two.
  3. It's a shame they can't just turn off all the graphics. I want to play with just text! :O
  4. Hello Treees and welcome to the forums.

It is sadly, very difficult to increase DDR (Defense Debuff Resistance). The only way currently is to use Clarion. Inuln does however have a good deal of resistance in the set (50%)

I personally would suggest Soft capping S/L and E/N with one mob in Invinc, as well as trying to get Perma Dull Pain.

What do you think of this build?

    Best Taunt aura?

IIRC, Ice has the best taunt aura with [Chilling Embrace]. It also has [Icicles] for a second taunt aura. Something with how frequent CI ticks. Next up is Dark Armor. Again, its mainly because it has 3 taunt auras. Next on the list is prolly SD and then Invuln, though I believe those two are almost identical. Then... we get to the worst taunt aura, which is Will Power's Rise to the Challenge.

These are just what I have witnessed and heard about as well as a little gut feeling. None of this is scientific. (besides the WP taunt aura.. that is by far the worst.)

Auto Hit taunt aura's seem to do better simply because they are auto hit. The damage auras are nifty.. however they need to hit

You are talking about DFB (death from below). Again this is from recollection only, but I believe Gauntlet doesn't kick in till level 10. Don't worry about having a hard time holding aggro in DFB... even if you do get all the agro, chances are... at level 10, you will die.

    Don't worry 'bout it.
  6. Don't forget that Invincibility also grants +To Hit. This will also have to be put some where with a stalker port.
  7. :O it doesn't provide that bonus at 50? >:0

    That stinks
  8. I know when I first got my phantasm and was using him, it got really annoying when he would KB my anchor away when I was firing off Heat Loss. However, I did get used to it and figured out a good way to still be able to get it double stacked reliably.
  9. I have tried it both ways. With or without.

Most of the time, that interrupt didn't really do anything. However, when I really needed a heal, the times I had the interrupt IO had less of a chance of it getting interrupted. I would suggest it, but if the build is tight you don't need it.
  10. Was there need for two threads?

    Regen Build...

Probably because it's so off base people might be thinking its a joke.

I will ask what I ask for most builds that I see like this. What is your goal. What are you trying to achieve? Your post just says 'better'. Better is a very relative term :/

When I look at your build, I see so many bonuses being chased. You are stretching yourself thin, not getting good bonuses and achieving things that don't matter. 5 slotting numina's gives you 3.3% res held. That does NOTHING! I reccomend looking at other build requests with /Regen in the topic (doesn't need to have claws specifically) so you can get a good idea what people in the general populace are doing.

Remember: The key to IOing is to choose one primary bonus to seek, and then a secondary one.

On a seperate note. Do you have endurance problems that you are seeking that much recov/+end bonuses? I suggest slotting attacks better with some endurance reduction. That will go a long way.
  13. You will get more help/advice when the update for mids goes live.

Build for S/L soft cap, then E/N soft cap, then perma dull pain.

Their Assassin Strike is the power that has Demoralizing. If you do not pick Assassin Strike, you do not Demoralize. The note in Assassination does mention Demoralizing, but it is the Assassin Strike power that actually does it.

Also, iirc Stalkers did not crit outside of hide unless the mob was held or slept with the old assassination.

There will be a holiday themed costume contest just outside of the Vanguard base in the Rikti War Zone at 9:00 P.M. ET / 6:00 P.M. PT. All characters are welcome.

By holiday themed costume... which holiday are we talking about? Can it be construed as any holiday? IE can I where my bunny suit for Easter, stars and stripes for Independence day, or what about Boxing day, since it is around this time...

Just looking for clarification. What I might be thinking might not be what is being asked for. >.>
  17. Superior Invis does not work with Arctic Fog, and Arctic Fog is far Superior. You can use Group Invis for some extra stealth and defense however.

Since you don't use Snow Storm then get a different power, how about frost work?

Slotting that extra LotG enhancement in your Ice Shields only gives 2% more :/ Imo not worth it.

I personally dislike Flash. It's just not really worth it in my humble opinion. But you might like it.

I have a lot of experience with Ill/Cold and it is almost undoubtedly my most favorite character. I went mace mastery, it suites my preferences better.

Sleet doesn't need accuracy. It only needs one tick of damage to apply the debuff, that's more than any accuracy enhancement could do (-30% base is a lot)

I tried to keep it similar to your build, since you obviously spent some time on it. Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.952

Yes you could theoretically have a really good Brute Taunt the group, maintain aggro and then do that... or you could just play Tank and invite a Blaster and do the same thing much easier?
I think one key thing you are forgetting here is that if Tanks get a new inherent Anger, then their inherent now Gauntlet will no longer exist. Then tanks will have even more trouble gaining aggro.
  19. Forming in RWZ allows for Pylon soloing while waiting.
  20. I do believe the resistance would be 90% even if you had 100000%. you would resist 90% of the debuff, it would subtract your resistance (99999999% now) and then cap it. I don't know for sure, but that's how I believe it works.
  21. You took a tank designed for Smashing/Lethal Uberness with a psi hole on a trial with almost all psi damage. Can we blame the AT?

Try doing it with a Stone, Elec, SR, SD or Elec tank.
  22. Stamina is an extra .41% recovery base. .2% is half of unsloted Stamina. That's pretty decent.

Also, even if you have -1000000000000000000000000000000000000000% recovery, if the proc procs, you then have 10% endurance to work with.
