/maxinactivefps # -- makes the inactive window (the window you're not actively playing) take a minimal amount of processing power by forcibly reducing the number of screen draws per second (frames per second, or fps). This frees up graphics card power for your active window. (I typically set this at 3 when dual boxing.)
/maxfps # -- makes it so that you don't go above a certain number of fps, so that your graphics card doesn't spend time rendering things if you're OK with fewer screen updates. (I typically set this at 30 or 35 when dual boxing.)
Alternately, you can add them to your startup shortcut, by editing the properties and doing like the following (your install directory may look different):
"E:\Games\City\CohUpdater.exe" -maxinactivefps 3 -maxfps 30
---- does the same thing as the slash commands above, but now you don't have to type in the slash commands every time you start the game!
I also play in windowed mode, rather than full screen, and I reduce the size of the windows so that I can see a decent slice of the other screen when I'm on either one. That way I can just click that screen to swap focus instead of ALT+TAB, which can sometimes act funky.
I have done all kinds of duos; two support, two damage, a support and a damage, a meatshield and a damage, a meatshield and a support, etc. etc. They're all viable. My favorite is controller/scrapper heroside and MM/brute villainside. -
That's cos it wasn't a post! Durr. *slaps previous poster*

The Complete Collection Item Pack is included as part of the City of Heroes Going Rogue: Complete Collection, with both digital and boxed versions (available in North America only). It will also be available as a separate digital purchase. The Item Pack includes:
• Alpha and Omega themed costumed sets
• Alpha and Omega themed auras
• Four stance emotes
• The Shadowy Presence invisibility power -
A stealth power (mega stealth while you're not moving), two costume sets (Omega and... something else), I forget what else. I can't find the post where it has all the details. I don't remember which OCR rep posted the list.
(These items are also available in the Complete Collection box set itself.) -
Quote:Considering Tankers were built to be the most durable archetype in the game, congratulations.......?I am an adict, i've tried to hide it for too long. It is time to come clean and admit it.
The first sign of recovery is admitting to a problem. I just cant find anything as durable as my tankers. Defenders are just to squishy. Scrappers fear where tankers trod.
I am a city of heroes addict and im coming clean. -
The game is exactly the same. All that he needs to do is change the updater from "CohUpdater.eu.exe" to "CohUpdater.exe", and he'll get on the US servers. HOWEVER, if he buys an EU box, he's basically throwing his money away since the code contained in there doesn't work on NA servers.
In fact, if you and/or he already have the EU installation, all you have to do to use it as an NA installation is the above filename change. -
My graphics card sucks ***, so all I got to do was turn off UM after it said my card was capable of running it.

Red Lieutenants means they were +2 to you (minions orange, lieuts red). Therefore, you certainly weren't on +0, or your mission bugged.

Mez the sappers first.
Alternately: endurance drain resist. (There are powersets that include this, and Speed Boost provides this as well.) -

I have binds or macros on all of my characters to instantly combine various types into types that I want more of.
For instance, I have a radiation emission character, with choking cloud, WITHOUT stamina: I have binds/macros to turn everything except wakies and breakfrees into blues, all levels. This is the only way I can function with this character, and she even has been tweaked for +end and +recov (I have recently added the I17 temp power "Recovery Serum" to her list of must-haves).
On my brutes, I have binds/macros to turn everything into reds. Unless they are defense-based (which is few), then they have binds/macros to turn everything into purples.
Most of the rest of my characters have binds/macros to turn things either into yellows or purples, depending. Some of them have binds/macros for both yellows and purples. A few (mostly blasters ) have binds to turn things into greens.
Then, when I have leftovers, I'll either use them or leave them there until there's three of them to combine. -
Yes. I abandoned a level 8 "hunt CoT in Perez" mission when I was level 8, did another contact to bump my level to 10, then took "hunt CoT in Perez" again (so I could actually run around in the trees without fearing for my life) and my mission list listed it at level 10, not level 8.

...no. This is City of Heroes, which implies at least partially humanoid as most heroes have been throughout comics.
The non-humanoid ones have almost invariably been pets/minor sidekicks/minions. -
Yep, I remember a pretty hefty thread a while back where we did a lot of "create new toon, claim vet pet, stand around and stare at vet pet" to see who did what, and it was only the Clockwork that did anything.

If you're not in the last mission for enough time to qualify for end-of-mission rewards (no one really knows how much time that is, as it seems to fluctuate), you won't get the merits/badge/whatever. Certainly if you're not in the last mission at all, you won't get the merits/badge/whatever.

It's 20. You can't even send an email (let alone receive an email) with more than 20 emails in your box. Even if they're character-to-character emails, and not global emails with or without attachments.

A_Angel is not new. I will not treat him with kid gloves because of previous experience. -

My entire physical response was a slight shrug of the shoulders and a very unenthusiastic "eh..."
I'm going to go with 'no' based on that. -

You're not looking for a mission complete text, are you? It'll just be an extra line of xp/infamy, no completion text. So at some point, you'll have "rewards for last dude killed inside mission" followed by "rewards for end of mission", which you should get once you zone out of the mission.
