The game is exactly the same. All that he needs to do is change the updater from "CohUpdater.eu.exe" to "CohUpdater.exe", and he'll get on the US servers. HOWEVER, if he buys an EU box, he's basically throwing his money away since the code contained in there doesn't work on NA servers.
In fact, if you and/or he already have the EU installation, all you have to do to use it as an NA installation is the above filename change.

You can't "install" through CohUpdater.exe from within your installation directory because it's trying to update/replace itself, which doesn't work.
Copy CohUpdater.exe to your desktop (the file, don't make a shortcut!) and run it from there. When it asks you where to put CoH, point at your current install directory. When it's done, you can delete CohUpdater.exe (and the garbage files it creates) from your desktop.

Right, so I'm currently downloading city of heroes architect edition (The NA version, I grew tired of the tiny population of EU
) and will be getting the going rogue collectors edition just because the box looks nice and it would save me a LOT of install time if i needed it.
One of my friends is also moving to the NA servers but he cannot download the game due to bandwidth restrictions, so I'd basiclly like to know for myself (the collectors box in the future) and my friend (For him to play now) somwhere to purchase the architect edition box and that can ship it over to the uk, same with going rogue collectors.
And yes I've tried amazon, But they have some stupid "CAN ONLY BE SHIPPED TO US!" policy.
If not then could someone atleast tell me how to make an EU disc's content work with an NA account?
