Email Limitation

Ok, with the new email system, I have a few questions for those who may already know.

1. How many emails can you send to yourself with attachments?
2. Does influence/infamy count as an attachment?
3. How long will that email with either an attachment or influence/infamy stay good, meaning will it ever explire if I forget to claim it.

Thanks,
Beef

1. 40 before you can't send ANYTHING else.
2. *shrugs* see above.
3. Haven't had long enough to tell, I've got a bunch of EoEs sat in my mail currently, been there for about a week so far.

pretty sure the Max is 20, not 40. Inf is an attachment, but you can also send an item with it.

Don't recall there being any mention of an expiery.

Well, I'm pretty sure I've got 40 EoEs sat in my mail currently, I'll have to check when I get home.

Well, in theory you could store inf in emails then. If thats the case, thats what I was looking to do as all my characters on my main server are capped and have no place to store inf. So if I email inf to myself I can store inf for a little bit until I make new character and then I can offload it to them.

1) 20 is the maximum number of e-mails with attachments.
2) Influence is a "bonus" attachment. You can send an e-mail with Inf or with Inf and 1 other item. They each have their own space when composing an e-mail.
3) I doubt it will expire. I have an Awaken that was mailed to me on launch, and has been sitting there since. It even survived the various @Global Chat Server downtimes.

One more note is that the max inf you can send per email is 999,999,999, so you can technically have 19,999,999,980 stored in global emails per account.

It's 20. You can't even send an email (let alone receive an email) with more than 20 emails in your box. Even if they're character-to-character emails, and not global emails with or without attachments.

No idea where the number 40 came from then, gonna have a look at the error message that popped up when I tried to send myself some more goodies in the mail.

Store inf on the market. Place a bid on a level 53 recipe for 2 billion.

There have been some complaints about emailed inf disappearing when the globals went down. I don't know if that really happened or if those people were able to recover the inf or not, but personally any time I send anything valuable to myself via email, I'm claiming it asap. Might be a viable way to store stuff, but I'm not taking changes.

I vaguely recall hearing they will return to sender after a certain number of days.

(Edit: cannot find confirmation one way or the other.)

Or on a Level 54.

Yes, I read the same posts here about vanishing items. Personally, I never lost anything. As a matter of fact, the first time they went down, I tried to claim an Awaken, not knowing they were down. I finally got fed up with it not claiming, and clicked Return. E-mail vanished from my inbox. When @Globals came back up, it was back in my inbox again.

So, I guess different people were affected differently, and I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's one of the improvements being considered for the email system and not actually in place yet.

That could be it.

So anyone knows what happens if you send an email to someone with 40 already? Does it bounce back or vannish?

I wish there was a recall or sent folder too. I sent something and typo'd the name, would of been great if I could i grabbed it back before it was claimed.

Now use reply a lot more than typing the name.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

I believe if the email is undeliverable (wrong name or their box is full) it will bounce back to you.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

In-Game Mail Improvements

You will now be able to send Influence, Infamy, Enhancements or even tradable Inspirations to any global name (@globalname), including your own characters. Mail with attachments cannot be deleted until the attachment is claimed, though mail with attachments can be returned to sender. You can only claim attachments sent by characters of the same faction. (Heroes can only receive attachments to Heroes. Villains can only receive attachments to Villains.) You can only keep 20 pieces of mail in your inbox. Mail sent to a full mailbox will bounce. (Bounced mail can exceed the cap.) If you are at the cap, you cannot send mail.

Just make sure you accidentally send it to @Dark Ether.

My question is: Is there a reason you cannot send Invention Salvage as an attachment in an email? I tried this the other day and it doesn't work.

I sent invention salvage all the time as attachments. In fact, I send more salvage than anything else.

Make sure you're sending to a @GlobalName, as CharacterNames do not accept attachments.

Hmmm. OK. I'll have to try it again.
