RE: Update on Trials and Missions in CoH/CoV

I'm planning online events for Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.

I need to confirm if these trials are still active:

1.CoH
Sewer Trial - I know this one is but it says minimum is 4 persons(wiki) but what's the maximum users that can join? The old Prima guide says 8 max users at level 36 or higher.

Hive Trial - Is this one still active? I see on the Wiki it says minimum 4 persons but what's the maximum users that can join? The old Prima guide says 25 or more users at level 40/Prima Guide(or 45 Wiki) or higher.

Shadow Shards/Storm Palace - The wiki is the only place I found information on this but it was minimum. I'm assuming this is still active because I've seen and been inside the Portal Corporation.

But I would like to get this information(minimum Level accepted, Mini/max users allowed) about these Portal trials:

Fireball Zulu
Cascade Archipelago
The Chantry
Storm Palace

2.Still SG only Trials(according to Prima Guide)?:

Faultine - up to 25 users with minimum level of 19?
Eden - minimum 8 users up to 50 users. Minimum leveled accepted is 38?

If still only SG, can SG users that I have coalitions with participate?

3.CoV

The Abyss - The wiki was the only place I could get info on this. It says level 45 is required to enter but no details about min/max users.

Cimerora - Is this accessible to villians and heroes? Also, what are the min/max users and minimum level accepted?

Thanks for your comments in advance.

My advice: ignore the Prima guide entirely. It is laughably out of date.

Up to date information can be found at Paragon Wiki.

The 'Faultline Trial' was never implemented.

The 'Hive Trial' is commonly known as the Hamidon Raid. It pretty much requires 50 people and a very specific mix of archetypes and powers. The level range is 45-50 but 50 is preferred.

The Sewer Trial is still active, levels 38-40 (however, players higher than level 40 can join but they will be de-leveled (exemplared) to level 40 for the duration of the trial).

Many people have given me the same advice as you have. The only reason I still read it is to see how the game has EVOLVED from the beginning. It's like looking at yourself when you were a kid. Thanks for your comments

There is an Eden trial, given out by the Woodsman, but it's a regular TF-Style trial - so max of 8 people (don't recall the minimum).

The Eden Trial is still bugged, right? You still need someone in range of it, 39-41, to be the team leader to start the Trial or the team will auto-disband.

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

Fireball Zulu
Cascade Archipelago
The Chantry
Storm Palace
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Shadow_Shard

Firebase Zulu has the Dr. Quarterfield TF
Cascade has the Sara Moore TF
The Chantry has Justin Augustine & Faathim the Kind TF's
Storm Palace has no TF's or Trials

Little tip about the Shard TF's though. They can take a significant amount of time, with Quarterfield being the longest (average time is 4-6 hours, but can take up to 8 or more with a mediocre team). The other three can be completed in 2-4 hours, depending on team makeup and familiarity with each TF.

The team will no longer auto-disband, but it won't start unless the leader is in that range.

How long does it take to play the Hive/Hamidon Raid? Estimate

How long is this trial? 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or 4 hours?

Also, what's the bug?

It varies but an hour is about the average. It depends largely on two factors: how long it takes Hamidon to spawn (he spawns after you defeat a random number of DE Monsters), and how much difficulty the raiding group has (which is itself dependent on having a capable leader and having people who can follow directions).

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill

If you're going to run a Hamidon raid, you're probably better of looking for somebody who's done it to run one for you. It's fairly complex and requires a lot of fore-knowledge and planning.

It is intended on being the end-game raid encounter and it's set up as such.

Feel free to give it a shot, but it's best to tag along with somebody who's done it first and observe what goes on.

SerialBeggar told you the bug right there in his post.

Done for speed, the Eden trial can be done in as few as 15-20 minutes. But that skips a lot of the enemies. Otherwise, plan for 60-90 minutes or so.

What you described is not a bug.

Thanks for your comments. I'll try to participate with someone before I run it for my event. :-)

Every other trial and TF in the game can be started by anyone meeting the minimum level requirement of the encounter. Eden Trial is the only one that requires that the team leader be no higher than the max level of the encounter.

That's why it's considered a bug.

That said, the Eden Trial is one of my favorite things in the game, I recommned it. You just need to start it with a character between level 38-41.

Yes, it is. Assuming we're both talking about the same thing - that only someone in the correct level range can start it.

Yes, what *I* described is not a bug. But what SerialBegger described in his post, the very one you quoted, is a bug.

To be quite clear "You still need someone in range of it, 39-41, to be the team leader to start the Trial…". This is a bug. Normally, the leader would simply need to be level 39 or higher to start the trial.

Thank you for clarifying your comments. I need to make sure I get a 38-41 Leader to lead this. :-)

I replied to Rosa but the comment should been to you...thanks.

Has anyone attempted these PvP events:

Bloody Bay - Shiva Strike Mission
Siren's Call - ?
Warburg - Missile Launch Mission
Recluse Victory - Temporal Anchors

How long are these TFs/missions and how many people can be on a team?
Also, is there a mission/TF in Siren's Call?

Those are not so much events or missions, as they are mini-games.

The Shiva Strike is really an individual thing. You can be on a team, but the only thing that counts is what the individual does. A person must go and get a sample from each of the 6 meteors (less if you have 1 or 2 pieces of Prototype Element salvage), then go and clear one of the firebases, and convert the samples.

Siren's Call has the Battle for Siren's Call. There will be a hotspot that will show up on the map. At the hotspot, Arachnos and Longbow groups will stare at each other for a long time, and then finally rush each other and fight. Heroes/Villains can get involved and reduce the delay before the fight and even turn the tide of battle, depending upon their skill. Each of these battles is worth 100 points to the player on the winning side and these points to purchase a few items. These battles will also, very slowly, shift control of the zone to one side or the other, allowing the winning side to be able to purchase temp powers from the zone vendor.

Warburg, see the Missile Launch Mission.

Recluse's Victory, see here.

Thanks. The wiki links are useful but the duration and team sizing is what I really need. Have you played these missions?
