I was also one of the folks who was disappointed by the lack of animal/anthropomorphic parts. I won't be buying this one since it contains nothing I would use (except Secondary Mutation and two of the CCE's) until/unless I come up with a concept that can use it, or until I break down and decide a self-buff and two CCEs is worth $10 (unlikely).

Quote:NOTE: Game cards work exactly the same as time cards, if you're just using them to add time to your account.NOTE: Game cards are not the same as game time cards. Game cards can only be used as indicated on the packaging.
The only way game cards work differently is that you can also use them to start an account, and they come with a 30 day (real time) flight jet pack.
Time cards cannot be used to start an account. You need a retail code for that. -

I was promised Fish Heads! -

Look in the location you downloaded the file to. This is sometimes dictated by your browser, other times you select where to download to. It won't have created a folder yet, it's not even opening.

Sounds like the typical Vista/7 UAC issue.
Download the file to your computer. Locate the file. Right click the file. Run as Administrator.
For future reference, the official Mids forums are located here:

...and contain a lot of troubleshooting and fixes. -
There were a couple threads about things like this a couple weeks ago. I have no idea how the issue was resolved.
In other words: I believe the OP. It's happened before, at least twice. -
I would say if this could be reproduced consistently (although it'd be a very terrible thing to try killing lots of illusionist little girls with imaginary friends ), Natural. All illusionary imaginary friends whose creators die unexpectedly turn corporeal. Natural.
If it can't be reproduced, I would probably go with Magic. He was created through magic initially, and something woogie happened to make him tangible. -
And of course, in order to earn any vanguard merits at all via defeats, you must have the Member of Vanguard badge.

Turn your "posts per page" down to 100. The forum cannot display long threads. The web folk are too lazy to turn off the option of viewing 500 posts per page.

I don't PUG, so there's that. Occasionally someone else will bring along a friend, but that still doesn't count as pugging. The very rare times someone else requests to bring PUG folk along, it's generally been OK, since most of the time they're from global channels and global channels tend to have a lower ratio of dumb to smart players.

Quote:...however, having more than 45% defense means you are at least somewhat protected from defense debuffs, and also the higher chance to hit of +level foes.A soft cap is a term used to describe defense.
As you are no doubt aware, a "Cap" is an absolute limit, you can't go any higher than that.
A "Soft" cap, on the other hand, is a practical limit, meaning you don't gain any additional benefit from going higher than that.
The soft cap for defense is 45%. This is because an even con enemy has a base 50% chance to hit you, and the game will not allow it's chance to hit to go below 5%. So, since the chance to hit can't get below 5%, 45% is your practial limit on defense. It doesn't matter if you have 45% defense or 145% defense, the enemy's to-hit will never get below 5%, making 45% the soft cap, because you gain no benefit for going over it. -
Is this thread still applicable? I'm attempting to prod the rednames into mowing down the stickies. Too many stickies!

Maybe we can unsticky this post, since it's on the live servers now.

Maybe we can unsticky this post which is at least two patches old now.

I level about twice as fast - if not faster, most of the time - depends on archetype/power choices - in City as in WoW. Solo or on a small team or on a big team.
-
Just to note, it's not Team Teleport that has the prompt. Team Teleport is the 4th power in the Teleportation pool that takes you and any teammate near you to a location that you click, away from yourself - multiple Teleport Self.
It's Recall Friend and Assemble the Team/Summon Teammates that have the option to auto-accept.
That said, I agree with "auto accept"/"auto decline"/"prompt" options. -
For some reason, I am stupidly excited that you didn't type "for all intensive purposes", which is such a common mistake that my eye twitches when I see it.
Don't mind me, getting a little grammar on over here in the weirdo corner. Move along, move along, nothing to see here... -
Most of my characters don't even take travel powers anymore, and those that do are typically Flight with a concept that requires perma-hover, so it doesn't impact me.
Note: I don't qualify for City Traveler yet, so I couldn't skip the prereq if I wanted to, but since most of the time I don't even want the actual travel power, that is one vet reward I actually won't use that often. Amusingly enough, it is regularly ******* and moaned about in just about every subforum here (I've even seen a couple arguments over it in-game). I just don't get it. -
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Mail_System
I have no idea how it took us this long to create the article, but the wiki now has all the biggest details on the mail system.
If you have suggestions to make the article better, feel free to mention it here in this thread, in a PM to me, on the discussion page on the wiki, or by changing the article yourself.
I will be adding images in the next couple days. -
Quote:Not the kind of ambush we're talking about. This is the ambush that, in paper kidnap missions, would spawn as you're leading your victim to the entrance of the map after defeating the spawn guarding him/her. In radio rescue missions, these did not occur.Actually, the ambushes in hostage rescue radio missions have been bugged for a loooooooooooong time.
The bug (apparently now fixed) used to make the ambush happen when you accepted a hostage rescue mission. If you took one, and then just stood there long enough, an ambush would eventually come your way (unless their path took them by some police drones or into another hero).
I'm glad they finally fixed it.
Until now, anyway, apparently. -
