Did others see this as well? Otherwise, something goofy with the client, I'd think.
But I *so* want that effect.
Edit: Snagged my emp and bounced around atlas/guardian for a bit. Nothing happens with HA or HO, no odd mobs. *shrug*
Just logged in with a different toon, same zone and server... this is actually kinda fun in a Twilight Zone kind of way.

There were a couple threads about things like this a couple weeks ago. I have no idea how the issue was resolved.
In other words: I believe the OP. It's happened before, at least twice.

clearly that power ring in the first screens is a glitch showing us the defender incarnate unlock that is coming with GR.
My suggestion would be, if this is a serious thread and not some showing off of photoshop skills or demoedit skills, to do the following:
1. Reboot the computer.
2. Defrag the hard drive. Defraggler will even let you defrag specific folders and is free.
3. Lauch the updater but don't click Next. Instead, click the Verify All Files button.
4. Once all of the files are verified, enter the game.
5. If the problem is resolved, go to the first sentence after the numbers. If the problem persists, file a /bug report and take several screenshots to post to Photobucket or ImageShack and put a link to the folder on whichever site you choose in the response section on the support website.
6. Delete the Piggs folder in the game folder on your computer and then launch the game again and let it download clean versions of the pigg files.
7. If the problem is resolved, go to the first sentence after the numbers. If the problem persists, back up your CoH installation folder then uninstall and reinstall the game.
If the people that had previous threads similar to this (that Aggelakis mentioned) reported this as a bug, it may give the QA team enough data to be able to figure out what causes it and they may have a solution.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Just as the title says, I have no idea what this is.. nor have I ever seen this before. Almost 6 years of playing this game and I've seen bugs, but OMG. In this screenie, I have a force field around my toon, but that toon is an empathy/energy manipulation defender.
That big ring of energy appeared after I attempted to heal someone in Atlas Park.
And this one suprised me, seeing 2 infected and an outcast in place of Hellions, with a motorcycle!!
As for my computer's specs, cause I know some of you will ask..
Windows XP SP3
AMD Athlon Dual Core 7750 (2.7ghz)
3.25GB DDR3 memory, 1066mhz (actually 4gb but that's all my 32 bit version of windows will report)
ATi Radeon 4870 (Catalyst 10.5 Drivers)
So.. any thoughts??
