Howdy, since you're a VIP (judging by gold name), you can post in the Builds subforum and also the Controller subforum. You'll get more directed responses there. Someone will probably be along to give general assistance, but it's always better to go to 'the source'. Good luck!

Quote:No, it is indeed the Cape of the Four Winds.Incorrect.
That is the Fortune, I believe, Cape.
Thank you for the time...
They asked about Aurora's cape, not Swan's. Swan's is the Fortunata cape. -

Which requires you to be out of combat for (two minutes?) before you can initiate it. And the speed at which DFB moves, the fight is over and the team is halfway to the next boss.
Quote:When the LFG feature was first added, I was so excited! I thought finally! I could run TFs and Trials without having to go through the hassle of team-forming and broadcasting. It would be like most conventional multiplayer games where I just ask the computer to do it, and it puts me on a "server" that's right for me. All I had to do when I wanted to run one was queue and wait. And now I can even do it from instances! Woo-hoo!
Except no-one ever uses it. I'm not "waiting" when I queue, I'm still running missions, but in a five-hour session of gaming, the queue never once kicked in, yet I saw numerous Trials form over global channels. I've tried this intermittently since, but it never happens. I have, thus far, never, ever, EVER been able to join anything by queueing up for it alone. The system that could have gotten even me to team frequently simply sees no use at all.
It's too bad that half the time the leader ignores me and fills up anyway. That's up to ten minutes of waiting when the difference of max teammates and one or two less is minimal, and they could be helping someone else get into a trial.
I appreciate it when leaders play along. The empty spot(s) is/are almost always filled. There's almost always someone or someones queued.
I wish it would become a more widespread phenomenon. -
Heals and HOTs are just bursts of HP. The only thing that can reduce these is a "special" attack style that is very rare.
Regen buffs makes the ticks of regaining HP come faster. Regen debuffs make the ticks come slower.
Max HP gives a larger amount per tick of regen, since regen works off a percentage of max HP.
Absorb is a separate mechanic that has nothing to do with regen or heals (they just stuck the enhancement value on with heal because it's commonly paired). You get a bag of HP that will take any damage until it's gone, THEN damage will begin to hurt you. -
"Join event in progress" will only allow people in if the team falls below the minimum required teammates.
-
No, not technically; reducing regen is a separate mechanic from reducing HP. However they will regen a smaller amount per tick so it "seems" to reduce regen.

Quote:I just want to point out that I've actually never been hit by Marauder's special attack even though I don't run travel powers during that point of the trial. (I have a bind to quickly turn it on and off when he hops around.)6. Yes, I can use sprint. But thats not quite fast enough to get out of range of a special attack like Marauder's or Tyrant's electrical field. Problem with Marauder's attack is that you have to get out of the way BEFORE he begins his animation. I've literally been 50 yards away using SS, and still hit by his attack. Wouldnt be an issue if we didnt have travel suppression.
Sssoooooo it's certainly fast enough to get out of range of at least his special attack. You just have to be paying attention. -
Quote:So? So nothing. It's a little fun. A diversion. No offense, I like you, and you've helped me out with a couple things in the past, but I really thought you were above measuring parts you don't even technically have.
Insert my stock response to anyone who does this: So?
This was the part where you were supposed to laugh, shake your head a little, and tell Arcanaville that she spends way too much time on something she's not getting paid for.
(theoretically - at least I'm pretty sure she's not on PS's payroll ) -
Quote:This one made me literally laugh out loud.
* "(deep sigh) Fine... another freaking tie... can someone talk to the Devs about changing the travel power Cap rules?" -
It's always been a hardwired keystroke. I had alt-enter bound to talk into a specific global channel and when they introduced fullscreen/window switch, it no longer worked.
-
"Credit and debit card payments will automatically recur until deactivated."
Well, then, deactivate it. -
They've already said they won't be there, and that means there probably won't even be a meet & greet, which is terrible.
-
Quote:Yep. Computers have trained people to click through popups because "who needs to know the rules? I know how it works!"Given all the people I've seen complain about 'wasting an unlock' on a character that they didn't have access to the AT/powerset I just assumed there was no warning. Now I'm just kind of sad.

Quote:Well, it's probably because she wears the Girdle of Hera, handed down to her from her mother, who got it from her mother, who got it from the Furies. I'm not saying it's a good name choice, but there you go.Seems good, Telepath, but why on Earth would a heroic character ever want to be called "Hera"? She was a monster! She threw her own son (Hephaestus) off of Mount Olympus! Her only son! Zeus's only son who wasn't a product of his...shenanigans! I love the costume work there, but the name was a terrible pick!

Another note, you can stack five of each individual set bonus name. For example, five 7% bonuses, five 10% bonuses, five 2% bonuses, etc., etc.
A common bonus to go for a bunch of different levels is recharge, because there are 2.5% bonuses, 3.75% bonuses, 5% bonuses, 6.25% bonuses, 7.5% bonuses, and 10% bonuses. It's not actually possible in game due to limited power choices, but theoretically a character could slot five of each of those for a whopping 175% recharge bonus. And then there's a special IO (from the Luck of the Gambler defense set) that increases recharge by 7.5% as part of its special bonus, and you can use five of those on top of that (because the bonus name is different than the 7.5% set bonus) for a total of 212.5%!
Stacking bonuses can get to be really ridiculous if you're careful about building your character to shore up weaknesses or enhance strengths. -
Yes. If you haven't bought the power sets or archetype, you can unlock a slot that requires further unlocking. HOWEVER, it is spelled out in the info popups exactly what you need to unlock. It will say you don't have X power set, or X archetype, in addition to needing to unlock the slot. So you are forewarned if you're paying attention that just unlocking the slot isn't all that needs to be done to play.

Quote:Thanks. I knew it was seconds-from-perma with 3 SOs but couldn't wrap my head around the math to get it to double for some reason. If it's +300%, then going for perma-double means getting perma-hasten in the process so that's a consistent +70% that I couldn't figure out how to handle for some reason. Even with a napkin! If you have +300% recharge in Rage, it will be doubled all the time.
/carry on! -
Because I am stupid and apparently can't math to save my life, how much recharge does it take to perma double stack rage?

Battle Axe only has three powers that don't do knockdown. If you're fighting blues, that'll be knockback on six of BA's attacks. If you're fighting Clockwork, that'll be knockback on six of BA's attacks.
(One of the three that don't do knockdown does knockup instead. The other two are Build Up and Taunt. lol)
