No. NCSoft's track record is to bury IPs they're not using anymore, viable or otherwise.

If a track record is not an indicator of future behavior then, who knows until they say so.

Maybe.
To say more would be to speculate using a lack of information as a basis.
My gut says, I don't know, and the call about saving it or killing it won't be in my hands.
If you really wanted my guess about the most probable result, I'd say that no, it won't be saved. But that's just guessing at probabilities and no knowledge about what's going on to save it. So I'll continue to have hope that it can be saved, and should the time come when I can do something to improve the odds I'll be ready.

Blue.
No, red!
Be well, people of CoH.
Yes.
As a consequence of a minor causality disrupture brought on by a future time-traveler who stumbles upon our distant past and steps on a butterfly during the Jurassic, modern 21st century Earth will greatly resemble what we now call Primal Earth. I also predict that everybody will be a dog person in that world.

NCSoft has killed and shelved a number of games. Can't think of any I'd described as viable - conceivably some of them could have eventually been made viable with enough time and money, but none I'd describe as viable when closed, except CoH (unless there are some I am not remembering/didn't know about).

Tabula Rasa *could* have possibly been saved if it had more time in the cooker (or at least the chance to swap over to F2P). Not so sure on Auto Assault being viable... it did have more flaws *overall* than TR.
Dungeon Runners... that would have probably worked if it was setup to run like diablo with Battle.net.
*shrugs*
Just my thoughts.

Yes or no, sí or no, now.....go!
Yes. (Gut instinct: server emulator.)

Intended for low level play: "Learning the Ropes" (Arc #100304), "Cracking Skulls" (Arc #115935), "The Lazarus Project" (Arc #124906)
No.
Yesterday Hit Streak was kind enough to answer one of my questions during his coffee talk. I asked, "Why haven't we heard anything from NCsoft yet?" His answer was nearly the same as Zwill's was weeks ago: "I think they said everything they wanted to say in the press release."
That is not the attitude of a company that cares about the people who use its products.
I think we're done. And I really, really hope my pessimism is misplaced.

I don't know how, but yes. There is no logical reason to think it, but I can't shake the feeling that it will. I did not have this feeling 3 weeks ago.
My estimate is no.
But I need to state the difference between EXPECTATION and HOPE. I don't EXPECT the game to be saved. I think the odds of it being saved are less than 50%. HOWEVER, I also think the odds are way better than zero. So I continue to have HOPE that the game will be saved and continue to participate in efforts to save it.
I will also continue to tell off the internet loudmouths who state authoritatively that there is no chance of the game being saved. When they say things like that, they don't give us any information about the future of the game. The only information they give us is that they are fools.

probably eventually. If not this year, the next and not the next a few years later, but eventually. I think some of those people that are planning various things are determined enough to see it through.

Eventually, yes. Never is a long time.
But it might be years from now.
Yes- game will be rezzed
No-after months of being closed a resurrected game will not be in the same capacity as we know it now. Live person one day..zombie after resurrection...same person but missing a limbs.

What Spock says.
I think the game might have to have a hiatus, but then will be resurrected like Spock in ST:TSFS. And NOT in NCSoft's hands, but someone elses. Just who's... I dunno. But someone's.
Mike
/Well, ok, not exactly like Spock was, because that whole ritual and such won't work with the servers, methinks.
//But what do I know... maybe it'd work. Someone get T'Lar and give it whirl.

No monologues, no soliloquies, no walls of text here please. Just one glance into your personal crystal ball, just a simple yes or no based upon what your gut instinct tells you about CoH:
Will it be rezzed in some fashion, either by some publisher via the talks already in the works, or even just eventually in the months or years to come, or will it not ever be saved/rezzed?
My intuition says and has always said: Yes.
