Rest In Peace, Lucas.

Such a sad time for the community - prayers are with the family. Rest in Peace Brother.

I've been trying to think of what to say here since yesterday. Lu was such a great guy the type that everyone liked. It's easily reflected in the posts and reactions of everyone. Lu made me feel welcome in Con Chat when I first joined and he was always nice to chat with. I was always happy to see him on and just shoot the **** for a bit. He was so easy to talk to and just always so friendly.

The Kronos Hami was before my time I wish I could have been there. The one thing I keep coming back to was logging in and getting a tell from Lu with the link to this. It's the everyday stuff that we do take for granted. Our friends and family when we get too busy with life and forget to just simply say hi, how are you? I know this made me think that I need to stop and make some time for what is important in life, since it may not always be there.

So even though I didn't know him as well or as long as some, I'll miss Lu

My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I didn't know Lucas very well but it's still a very sad thing that he's gone. I know he did a lot for the community and he was a nice guy whenever I saw him post here.

Rest in peace, Lucas. You deserve it.

Here's one of the avatars that Altoholic_Monkey made for Lucas for St Patrick's Day. He loved it.

Lucas was my friend. He was always nice and always willing to play with anyone. He wouldn't even have to do anything, just talk. He made everyone comfortable and made everyone laugh. I loved to play with him because he afk'd as much as I did. We could play for hours and not get a lot done, and we never seemed to care much.

He helped make the Justice community one of the better ones in the game. People wouldn't remember him so well if that wasn't true. I love that guy. And while I'm usually happy and upbeat every day, I've been sad since I heard.

Cheers, Lucas. I'll stuff Ele in a cake for you one last time.

Very saddened. Like so many others, I didn't really know Lucas on a personal basis, but I've been on quite a few TFs and raids with him, and have shared a lot of channel and side banter with him about... anything at all, really.

My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

I didn't know Lucas as well as alot of you do. What I do know is that I enjoyed his posts on these forums, many time they would brighten my day and make me laugh. His banter ingame was always fun. Most of all though I will remember the PvP. He used to come to Midnight PvP and the tournaments that used to happen. He was alot of fun to be around and fun to fight against. Those are the memories I have and when I think about them I smile. Eventhough I am deeply saddened about his passing, I will reflect on the good times. I hope that those of you in grief will take time to remember the good times because in the end, memories are all we have. My deepest condolences to his friends and family. May Lucas rest in peace.

Lucas will be missed on Justice. Those of us from the early days will always remember him.

'Kronos has a hold noob' is the funniest thing I've seen to this day in this game. Still makes me laugh out loud to this day.

This is terrible to hear. Lucas was always a good time.

My condolences to his friends and family. Lucas was always a riot, and undoubtedly one of my strongest memories of being here on Justice. He'll be missed.

I've just been wondering where to start this past week......

First off, I'll miss him.
Even after leaving City, he would check in every once in a while.
And whenever I spotted him on globals, no matter what I was doing, I'd chat.
I guess I wasn't close enough for him to tell me how he was really doing, because this all hit me like a ton of bricks when I found out.
But.....
Thats OK.
This is a game, and people go to games to escape the real world.
I know I have through the years.
I teamed with Lucas many times through the years, chatted with him both in PMs and in global channels.
No matter how stupid my questions may have been, he answered them.
No matter how crappy my toons were, we had fun.

My fondest memory of Lu was on vent while he was playing a blaster named some variation of Lucus Every single time nova was up he would charge into a mob, nuke and yell "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOVAAAAAA!!" as loud as he could. This continued several times, each time being told if he yells again they were going to kick him. Finally, on the 5th or 6th time of this, they booted him off vent. I forgot whose vent it was, but they sent him a tell saying he could come back if he stopped the shouting. Lu got back on and the first mob he saw "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOVAAAAAAAAAA!!!" and was kicked again. Good times.



Every so often, for some oddball reason, I think of that moment and laugh and smile for hours after. The day I heard of his passing, I thought of this moment and wept. I don't know if they were tears of sorrow because there will never be moments like that again or if if they were tears of joy that I got to experience that moment in time with him. All I do know is that he left this Earth way too soon.

Wow, I just found out about this now.
It's amazing how I can be affected by the loss of a man I never really knew that well but teamed with from time to time and enjoyed seeing his banter on the Justice channels.
