Rest In Peace, Lucas.

Many of you long-time players will remember Lucas. Lucas was one of the first friends I made when I first started playing years ago. He joined my SG and we co-founded the Nightmare Squad when CoV came out.

Lucas was funny, a great PvP'er, and had a flair for the dramatic. Maybe you've heard that "Kronos has a hold noob!"

I just learned that Lucas passed away yesterday. He had been treating an illness but it took a recent and sudden turn for the worse. He left a loving wife and two beautiful children.

Services will be held in Georgia on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Fox & Weeks - Island Chapel.

Although we never met in person, I knew him well. We spoke of work, and family, and music. He turned me on to Tool, for which I am immensely grateful.

Goodbye my friend. I miss you.

If he posted on the forum as Lucas, then I do remember him. I don't remember a lot of specifics, but I do remember him.

Many sympathies to yourself, his other friends, and his family.

I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to his family and all his friends. May he rest in peace now that he is in a world beyond the pain and illness. May the memories of fun and laughter continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved and cared about him.

I was so blown away when Flea mentioned this in game. I used to hang in Con's chat channel in which Lucas was a regular fixture pre-I13 and for a while after. He was a really fun guy that I always enjoyed playing and chatting with. It's hard to wrap my head around him being gone. I am deeply sorry for his family and friends closer than I.

Rest in peace, Lucas. The rest of us didn't get enough time with you.

Very sorry to hear about this. He was a great guy to spend time with. My thoughts are with his family.

Something about losing our heroes that hits home eventhough I did not know him personally, I feel for his family and friends. RIP Lucas.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

I met him back in the first couple issues I think with him on his blaster. Always great to team with, or even just to shoot the **** with. My condolences to his family and friends.

Bad year for heroes it seems.

I remember that guy. This is devastating news. His poor family. As a father of 2 myself that really hits home. Very sad...

Oh, no. No, no no... It's one thing when you hear about a player you didn't interact with passing away, but it's another, entirely different kind of feeling when it's a player you knew and spent time with in-game. My thoughts are with his family.

Just like flea said,

I didn't know him personally bur I snarked with him on occasion. He was always a stand up guy even when he was making fun of me.

He will be missed.

I was having a long day already and then I heard this. It adds perspective to life that we don't often have the chance to get until it is to late. Lu was truly a good person and a great friend. I feel lucky having had the chance to know him and saddened by the fact the world will have to live without him.

He was literally the last person I talked to the last time I logged into coh. Even though I had ducked and ran from the game he took the time to sit and bs with me. You always wish the last time you talk to someone you would know and say something meaningful or amazing or bold or profound. Instead I had a normal conversation in which I said my normal tag for goodbye 'peaces'. In the end I think of some Garth Brooks lyrics

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Peaces lu.

Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

I didn't know him well, but I well knew of him. I spoke to him several times, often about PvP and my curiosity with it. Tho' I don't remember much of what he said now, I do recall he was always polite and forthcoming with answers.

He had an infamous reputation on Justice that has been missed for some time now. I am sorry for his passing and send my best to his family.

I want to say something, but the words won't come.
I never knew him very well, teamed or chatted with him very much, but I knew he was a fun guy.

I'm really sad to hear he's gone.

I didn't know Lucas well, but I was certainly aware of him. Everybody who was on Justice for a few years must have been. He was a fixture here -- part of what made this server what it is. And it's a little bit less so for his being gone.

So long, Lucas.

I have nothing but fond memories of lucas. He will be missed.

I hope Kronos Titans spawn in all his Hami Raids in the afterlife.

Just found out about this and man I am so blown away. He was always so vibrant and funny. I remember him always coming on to the game and spamming every global with the same message like he had wrote it out on a notepad and copy/pasted it lol. Constantly trying to get me to play PVP with him even though he knew I wasn't very good at it and hated it.

And who can forget that Hami raid? I was there. Man it's just not right. 37 is wayyyy too young to leave this world. I'll miss Lucas and all my best go out to his family and friends. What a loss

I knew of Lucas... heck.. probably all of Justice knew of Lucas! He helped make Justice Server what it was/is!

He had the knowledge, skill and fun that made him uniquely "Lucas".

Rest in Peace
