Ode to endless summer

Wouldn't it be cool if the Summer Blockbuster Event could last all summer?
Im really hoping it could last longer. I love the enemies we fight. I love the badges we earn.
I love the team compositions that get created on the fly.
I really like inspiring the crowd, getting Ted to spill his guts, and teaching hobos to count cards.
The locations are gorgeous,The foes are diverse,the battles are intense.
The Overwhelming Force set is incredible, And the PROC is the BOMB!
Does anyone else feel the same?
I know nothing lasts forever,but its too soon to say goodbye.
No matter what happens, I would like to thank the staff, the promotion and design teams,and all my teammates - WE ROCKED OUT 'TIL IT CLOCKED OUT!

It is good content, but I think there is also an appeal to have things like this periodic. You get a bigger pool of people interested in the event and it becomes easier to team for it. It can be something to look forward to, too.

Admittedly, this one would likely stay popular as long as it remains the sole source of KB-to-KD IOs...

we're in Seattle. The event did last all summer - July 4th - 13th

I stopped caring about the thing a week or two after it started, personally.

My goal is to collect 100 ov force rewards. that will hopefully tide me over till next year.

What I'm wondering is when those other two films are going to let out so we can catch a showing?

I'd like to see year-round mini 4/4 Trials linked to the lore of different zones - like something to do with the Paladin in Kings Row, something to do with the fires in Steel Canyon, something to do with the Trolls in Skyway, and so on - they could be launched from a contact in the zone, or from the TUT, like TFs.

The Summer Event has to end so I can stop farming for the KD proc.

Well, they now have 4 different 'seasonal' events. Since each typically lasts about a month, I figure they have room for EIGHT more so that we can have some kind of special event running at all times.

I more liked the idea of participating in a movie. It gave some pretty good moments without having to run an arc. I'd like to see the cinema stay up year round, and have them add more features, maybe even limit the time on the runs of each one. Just link the in game theaters to the lobby map and let us pick which feature we want to run.

I would like movies where you don't play your character.

The year long Halloween event is bad enough. Let's not repeat that mistake.

I'd love it if we could just use the movie theatres dotted around The Rogue Isles and Paragon as a meeting place, as in go through the doors and just use the foyer of the cinema similar to how we can with Monkey Fight Club in Sharkshead. No event, just the foyer itself to hang out in and eat popcorn

In some ways I'm glad it's almost over, because I got a little obsessive about running it -- and playing on a smaller server I often had long waits to get one started.

On the other hand, my kin/elec defender had a blast running it, turning any team into a killing machine -- and her -regen heal was great against the first boss in the Casino Heist. I think I taught at least 3 kin/ or /kin how useful their heal was beyond putting up green numbers.

I've run it a couple of times and it was pretty fun.


I'll point out that the thematic underpinnings of the event make it a perfect candidate for 'return engagements', under the guise of WEEKEND DOUBLE FEATURE or what have you.
