"Once toggled, this power will grant [level of invisablility quote needed] so that you can stalk you foe...etc etc."

I would like to know this. Can I walk up to Hami and lay down for a nap, or is this something I can run past baddies with on the way to a mission? Or are power stats taboo for sales?

Panther has my eye -- but I'm still waiting on Mecha/ Sci Fi Retro , etc. The longer they hold on to that the less I'm likely to jump on anything else...

It's pretty much a Beast Run type travel power with a stealth temp toggle that's about as good as stealth. Superior Invisibility, it is not, so no naps.

Running around and jumping as a panther is quite a bit of fun though.

I guess I will pick up this pet as it would fit my furry spines/regen cat themed toon, who will be my 15th or 16th 50 (lost track). I'm bummed there is no Mech Armor... or I23 u_u

I own and love Ninja Run- how does Beast Run compare?

If it's equally cool and functional I wouldn't mind picking it up for my animal-themed characters.

Wow.... Another animal vanity thingy. I can't wait to get home and play "City of Animals" (aka Zoo Tycoon).

I believe the stats are the same as far as speed/jump height.

I actually searched for it on YouTube so I could see it in action before I purchased a month or so ago.

Beast Run is identical to Ninja Run stat-wise, it only has a different animation of running on all fours. The run itself isn't so bad, I'm not a fan of the idle animation for it myself.

Eh.

I'd be more interested without the "panther" part; maybe 5% of my characters have any business transforming into an animal (and even then it's a bit of a reach conceptually), and I actually like to see the costumes I design. If this didn't replace my character model, I'd probably grab it. As-is, I'll just keep using Ninja Run + Sprint + stealth IO like I've been doing.

Beast Run being on sale is tempting, at least. I'm not sure it's worth it since I've already got Ninja Run, but I'll at least think about it.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

I'm with you on this! I've always hated the idle animation.

Just to be clear....I can pay 650 points for a stealth 4 legged toggle that wont allow the use of anything else at all including inspirations when in it, or I can buy a celerity stealth IO for 260, drop it in sprint and it can be used with just about everything whenever I want?

Epic.

In fairness, the Panther power is a one-time purchase giving you all that on every character on your account, from now until forever. A stealth IO gives you stealth for that one character only. Buying them for as few as three characters means spending more than the cost of the panther transformation.

Which is why I buy cheap Celerity/Unbounded Leap non-stealth IOs with Inf and use enhancement converters.

Y'know, that hadn't occurred to me.

I'd be able to stealth missions on all my characters without having to mess about!

Tempting...

I'm starting to feel a bit silly for buying bulk points at the beginning of the month in anticipation of all the cool sales that I figured would be coming as part of the anniversary celebration.

Guess the month's only half over...

I wish they would come up with one of these pseudo travel powers where you ball yourself up and roll. That would especially be good when they release the mecha set.

We don' need no stinkin' signatures!

As others said, it has the same stats as Ninja Run.
It made a huge, positive difference for my character Amazing Ape. And I happen to love the idle stance for that character (It's a hunched over, heavy breathing sort of a savage type animation. It starts off a bit fast, but calms down quickly to a steady breathing/bobbing rate).

The run is on all fours (more horizontal than would really be possible as a biped, but it looks good) and the jump has no flips or anything fancy (so it can be especially nice being used with the JumpPack to speed things up without giving the ninja flip every tap of the space bar).

Like I said, it made a huge visual difference for my gorilla character, but it is purely a cosmetic option for Ninja Run.

EDIT:
I found a video that shows it off a bit.

Half way through it starts showing Beast Run and there's some better footage of it later on. You can see the idle stance in this as well.

Also, here's the official Animal Pack trailer.
