What is a game feature that you never knew existed?

I have it bound to ctrl+u after finding it as a keybind option "Disable UI"

You can click the little "!" in an explosion that appears beside the mission name in the compass to re-read your mission briefing.

Pocket D also works as a transfer zone but connects to less useful places Hero side.
These days you can also go through Dark Astoria if you are high level. And soon there will be the tunnel network.

Force Bubble. The lv32 FF power...

I know that that sounds absolutely crazy compared to this other stuff, but I have always been one of those people who stuck to low levels. The few 50's I've had didn't do much after hitting 50, and while in the high end I had just never grouped with a high end bubbler in a situation where they used it.

I made one on a whim (FF/AR) and loved holding a spot with it while spamming burst so much I rerolled my main to FF/BR and he's set in stone. My favorite character and my main for as long as I play.

This time coming back to the game, it seems there's a lot more to do at 50 so I might just incarnate a few characters...

Shivans!

I mean, ok, I knew they existed, but I'd never taken the time to pop to bloody bay to try it out and pick one up.

Aaaand now most of my characters carry one Super handy for those pesky elite bosses all over villain side.

Also the Atlas Medallion! Soooo simple to get. I wish the villainside accolades were as easy to get >> Stupid debt and damage badges.

If you actually do use ++disable2d, which essentially means "toggle the command disable2d from whatever state it's currently in to the other state", then you can then hit enter, the up key, then enter again, and it'll use ++disable2d again, which will toggle it again, turning it on. Not messy at all!

By the way, hitting enter so that your chat has focus, then hitting the up key will allow you to resend any of the last ten things you sent to chat, hitting up up up up up to cycle through them. Hit enter at any time to resend that piece of chatter.

I absolutely *adore* <enter> <up> <enter> after doing "/loc" when I'm exploration hunting because it allows me to /loc faster. (Although I think I might end up making a permanent bind in my default keys so that I can just hit one button instead of three.)

I also do it when hunting for badge bosses after doing "/targetcustomnext enemy bossname" if I don't want to make a macro.

I don't think I can answer the question in this thread... because if I don't know it exists, I can't very well talk about it, can I?

Then feel free to comment on some of the things that show up here. I didn't know enter worked to advance stages in a respec but I do now.

In case it's not obvious, you can use the down key to cycle through them the opposite direction. I never knew it was 10 items saved. I've never counted. I always expected it to be a larger number, and was surprised every time when I tried to go back and the line I was looking for was already gone from the buffer.

/getglobalname can tell you more than just the player's global name, it also tells you the character they're currently playing.

Let's say you met a character named "Fool's Golden Girl", and you wonder if that player's online. If you do "/getglobalname Fool's Golden Girl" you may get back:

"Arby Drab's player has the global name of @Statsman"

That tells you that "Fool's Golden Girl" is played by "@Statsman", and said player is currently playing a character named "Arby Drab".

This doesn't work if they're offline, or correctly hidden, naturally.

While reading this thread, I asked a friend what level I was on her global friend list since we were both getting PLed.

She told me you can put your cursor over your SKed level (49 in this situation) and it'll tell you your "experience level".

I've played over 7 years and didn't know that. I've always asked people to check my level for me and I've been asked, for years, the same question.

Time to act like I knew the entire time

EDIT: Someone beat me to it near the top, didn't know the feature was new *fhew*

If glowies are close together, you can click one, then the other and complete both/all at once.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

I would do that... but I haven't learned anything new from this thread yet. I will have to stay tuned!!

Well, except for the respec 'press enter' thing... but I totally don't understand the advantage there.

"Press enter" in respecs? Neat! Can't say I've ever heard of that one.

37, either you have mad mouse skillz or are a very patient man. I find it tedious to move all the way down to the bottom right of the screen and all the way back up to the middle of the screen 49 times in a row, this tip will certainly be a great QoL boon here.

To be able to turn off the shakycam was a recent discovery for me.
It truely helps on MSR's and against the talons in DA with their earth attacks.

Neither: I just don't respec very often. In fact... I respec as rarely as possible. I pretty much hate everything about the process.

I don't know if this is a new 'unannounced' feature or just something I never knew existed but shortly after i22 dropped I found myself digging through the keymapping options one night while flying around Dark Astoria, when I discovered the 'On Demand Click-to-Move' option. I don't recall what it was originally bound to but I have it bound to V, Holding down V and clicking on the screen sets a transparent blue waypoint that your character will travel to. This is especially neat if your character is a flyer.

I've been using the program hero stats for many years to verify and track my badges but I recently discovered that if u press the COH (button with statemans head on it) it will show you the cooldown of all your powers as you use them. I've been using my gaming keyboard timers/stopwatches but it is a tiny window shows it all. You can customize what u want it to show too.

I didn't even know there was a camera shake feature.

When you click a glowie and it counts down, stealth supresses and moving disables the countdown.

But I often rotate in place as it counts down so I can see enemies that are almost in aggro range when I'm stealthing missions.

How did you miss that for 8 years?

EDIT: Yes, I am using a texture pack to reskin the insps. The key labels are still there, even without it.
Yeah.....lol

Well, considering Yellow and Green lines didn't used to be connected, you'd be correct. One of those was yellow line and the other was green. ( Which was a pretty damn pointless split, IMO... )

That's been there since I started in 12/2005, so it's not new in the least.
